Something to note about the smoking, since it's a hot topic:

In Belgrade, it's totally, 100% LEGAL to smoke INSIDE restaurants and certainly all bars and clubs too - if this has changed since I was there last year, someone correct me.

Whereas it is banned in the majority of places in Kiev except the shisha places.

The problem is that you should go somewhere where you know the language and you like the culture. It should be a personal adventure and this shouldn't be based on the possibilities to get girls.
So my advice is to improve your interests in geography , history and your linguistic skills . Then go where you want to be happy for yourself. Women will follow.

Don't pick a location BECAUSE of women , it s a wrong calculation.

PS : Someone said that "uneducated people" don't speak English. What a terrible assumption. There are plenty of cultured people who do not need to learn or speak English.

Smoking is characteristic of all poor Slavic countries, especially ex-Yugoslavia. It's a remnant of old communist rule times where alcohol and nicotine were pretty much only vices you could afford (and for dirt cheap prices also). Today, girls think it gives them class, liking it to women of 1960s and before, but it does not.

That being said, if you are willing to disregard smoking in order to meet new and interesting culture (Slavic one) than go for it.

I don't think very large age gaps are accepted there. Based on my time there I think like 10 years is max. With that being said when I lived in Novi Sad for a month, I had a British friend who was 42 dating girls in their 20s. He looked like 33 max though, was 6'4", good looking, and decently fit.

I heard from a belgrade vet that the girls are extremely cliquey and that for the top level girls you need to be a local with some clout or you can forget about it.

I'm currently in Kiev. The girls here are great but the day to day living is a bit crap and the winter was pretty brutal.

It's not just the temperatures in a Ukrainian winter, it's the darkness, walking ankle deep in slush, girls having to cover their assets(not all of them), germs spreading around, contorted ghoulish faces greeting you(can be outside of winter too), also for pollution it's the worst time of year.

That being said, winter is better for banging than in Summer in Ukraine.

Same goes for Serbia, but less extreme

First of all, the notion that a city of over 3 million (I would guess unofficially maybe 7-10) could be jaded by a few westerners is clearly at odds with common sense.

Kiev is a surprisingly decent city to live in, but I wouldn't recommend it as a place to do business unless you have the right friends.

On 2k USD you can rent a small but modern apartment within walking distance of the centre, eat out regularly at mid tier restaurants, and generally lead an acceptable quality of life.

The girls are remarkably pretty, and it is always a pleasure to walk down the street or sit and have coffee and watch them go by.

They are very receptive to moderately affluent westerners (and above obviously), but you will need decent Russian to make any real progress. Others may disagree, but to really get at the good quality pussy that isn't trying to rinse you, Russian is essential.

It's not a place to come for the short term in my opinion. There is none of the beauty or culture of European cities (bar a few beautiful buildings/streets), and it is short of real quality in almost every area, whether it is food or soft furnishings. Getting anything good (other than pussy) is impossible in Kiev.

Coffee and cocktails here are pretty good. And there are a lot of nice looking girls around who do some pretty funny stuff publicly in the pursuit of instagram stardom. It can add levity to an otherwise pensive coffee/cocktail, and on occasion inspire very intense lechery.

Finding anything worth going to here is difficult. As a local, I almost never go to kreschatik or other such 'touristy' places. There's not much quality on offer there. Mostly people looking at you like marks if you are on a short trip.

Some of the more oligarchy places can be pretty good, and you can meet some interesting people, but you need to be able to spend reasonable cash for things high on bling and comparatively low on quality (relative to what one might get for comparable prices abroad).

Ukrainians are, amongst all the people's of the world (that I have come across), uniquely bovine in their disposition. There is a resignation and indolence to them that is particularly frustrating and unlovely. There are exceptions of course, but not so many.

Particularly amusing is that, despite the tough guy image of the slav, Ukrainian men are generally henpecked mother's boys, much derided by the women here. There is a small percentage that walk the walk and are to be taken seriously. They will invariably wear roll necks and leather.

Just made a similar point in the ukraine thread III. Weird. I've been in Kiev for 9 months and that bovine disposition and hen peckedness (matriarchy) really hits home.

The added pollution is from people (unfortunately) burning any old thing to get heat. I believe there is illegal trash burning happening too. If enough people do it in a populous area, well, suddenly it becomes a huge problem.

Those two posts are two of the best descriptions of Kiev that I've read.

That said, the people are nicer than in Poland and usually more helpful. You can get practically anything delivered to your door cheaply too. But as a long term place for living, for me, this city isn't it. It's starting to grate on me. The girls are really great for short term relationships. I'm looking for something long term though and I can't see that happening with a Ukrainian girl unless you rule the roost with an absolute iron fist (punishing any small infraction quickly and harshly). Has anyone made it work with one of them long term successfully? I wonder.

Im not here to try to “prove” anything wether you believe me or not means nothing. I’ve been to Belgrade many times as recently as last month, and for me personally I cannot speak on anyone else’s experience from this thread only mine. This city is easy especially if you run club game as they literally party every single day of the week especially in the summer, the river splavs are packed with hot drunk girls looking for dick. Across the river from the splavs there are restaraunts and bars lined up on the riverbank full of pretty girls drinking like fish looking for a good time. The only thing I could imagine possibly being “hard” is they have table culture in the clubs meaning is everyone is with friends dancing around a table which makes approaching a bit difficult far from impossible as girls will make it clear they are interested.

I don’t think Belgrade is hard either. I think it takes time to get quality but the path to it is quite straightforward. The first period is slow then all of a sudden you have multiple girls in your rotation.

I wouldn’t say easy either but I can think of much harder places.

First of all it is not true that Ukrainian girls are some of the easiest in Europe.

Secondly do not round up Balkans as a whole.

There are considerable differences between balkan nations.
