At the moment, the seniors are keeping her at arms length (Pelosi, Feinstein), so Biden as the main candidate may continue to do that.
Whereas if the main DNC candidate is Sanders or Harris, it would not be surprising if they bring her even more to the front & center.

Currently I'm coming to realize that the inversion agenda has been so thoroughly effective on even a subconscious level that the conservatives who consider themselves the masculine patriarchal force in politics have been reduced entirely to snarky feminine back-seat behaviour while still maintaining their delusions of masculinity.
