RE: Douglas High School shooting in Florida
The sad fact about the conspiracy theories from here back to JFK is that from this point on it really doesn't matter if they're true or not.
Someone could massacre 100 kids and leave a solid trail of evidence a mile long that makes it utterly clear that they were either a lone wolf attacker OR a deep state pawn.
Like I said in the Trump thread. At this point the battle lines have all but hardened. Nobody is interested in the evidence, and sadly that's with good cause.
Let's imagine you're a liberal. You have a conservative neighbour with whom you share a mutual hatred and have exchanged mutual death threats. One day someone shoots up your house and you assume it's your neighbour, but an investigation clears him because he had an alibi. Do you give a shit? Of course not. You want that motherfucker's guns confiscated, NOW!
On the flip side. You're a conservative and you have a liberal neighbour with whom you share mutual death threats. One day your neighbours house gets shot up. You suspect that your neighbour might have done it himself as a pretext to have you disarmed but you don't know for sure. Your neighbour is apparently pissed and is also apparently certain you're to blame. He wants the police to take your guns. Do you offer them up? HELL NO! You just KNOW that sonofabitch is going to come shank you the second you're unarmed!
At this point in history nobody believes anybody on the other side is acting in good faith. Dialogue is over. Evidence is over. Bipartisanship is over. All that's left is propaganda and war, in itself or by other means.
Don't give up your guns if 10 kids are killed or 100 or 1000. God forbid there are actual deep state agents killing kids, the second you give up something meaningful in recompense they will kill ten times as many to extract ten times the recompense.
I say again. The answer to the left is that you will not give up your guns to a political opponent who has repeatedly made it clear that they want you and everyone like you DEAD!

RE: Douglas High School shooting in Florida
If there really were crisis actors, why are none of the real students speaking up and saying something like "I have never seen these people at school, I don't know any of them, and none of my friends and classmates know them or have heard of them either", especially since they are all over the news right now?
Same is true for the hired shooter theories, if there was more than one shooter, you'd think somebody would have noticed, students as well, but especially forensics.

RE: Douglas High School shooting in Florida
Australia is such a bad example for gun control and reduced homicide rates as well.
Our murder rate in 1989-1990, six or seven years before the 35 Port Arthur deaths, was 1.82 ((307 homicides divided by 16.81m people) x 100,000). It is now 1 per 100,000. It's not nearly as dramatic a turnaround as folks say. And we were coming down from a very low murder/homicide rate to begin with.
http://archive.is/heMyp
Factors that probably decreased the murder rate above and beyond any gun control:
- Police surveillance improved dramatically (and generally I'm fine with that, if it's used properly)
- Social media and the proliferation of recording devices make it super-hard for suspected violent criminals to evade capture
- Digital footprints and the need to interact with technology also make it nigh on impossible for someone to hide themselves indefinitely
- Education programs to educate on matters like coward/one punch deaths
- Increasing incomes/corporatization. Fuck up with a violent crime like assault (which can lead to manslaughter at times) and you're done professionally, so people modulate their behavior accordingly
- Two-thirds of adults are overweight in Australia now. As if they want to start fights. They're already fighting heart disease

Where would they speak out? The news? MSNBC already has their go to girl to provide all the feedback they need. And she checks all of the diversity/social justice boxes. I’m referring to the border jumper girl with the buzz cut.
Racially ambiguous? Check
Gender ambiguous? Check
Potential dreamer? Check
That girl (she’s already been posted here) is a liberal dream come true. They won’t dare question anyone or anything as long as she’s providing the narrative.

Have any of the newspapers making the guy talking about crisis actors look stupid gone to the trouble to prove that they are in fact students?
Or are they just making the idea of crisis actors sound loony?
It wouldn't be that hard to verify if that is what they really wanted to do.

Yes. CNN of course:
(CNN)David Hogg has become a strong voice among survivors of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
Quote:The attention has given him a powerful platform -- but it has also made him the subject of smear campaigns and demonstrably false conspiracy theories.
Either he has been "coached" by his father, a former FBI agent; or he is a "pawn" for anti-gun campaigners; or, the most far-fetched, he is not a victim but a "crisis actor," paid to travel to disaster sites to argue against stricter gun laws.
"I'm not a crisis actor," Hogg told CNN's Anderson Cooper on "AC360" Tuesday. "I'm someone who had to witness this and live through this and I continue to be having to do that."
"I'm not acting on anybody's behalf," the 17-year-old added.
As the false theories continued circulating Tuesday, US Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, came to the student's defense on Twitter.
"Claiming some of the students on TV after Parkland are actors is the work of a disgusting group of idiots with no sense of decency," Rubio wrote.
Hogg and many of his classmates have been outspoken about the need for stricter gun laws since they witnessed the massacre that killed 17 students and staff members at their Florida high school last week.
Since then, memes and YouTube videos have surfaced making outlandish claims that some of the students are "actors" working for anti-gun groups who travel around the country to the sites of mass shootings.
Some are also claiming that Hogg's father, a former FBI agent, coached his son to speak out against President Donald Trump --- an allegation that Donald Trump Jr. appeared to endorse on Twitter.
On Tuesday, Hogg criticized those who amplified the claims and said it was disturbing that Trump Jr. liked the Twitter post.
"Unlike the people who are tweeting that stuff about me and my dad, I haven't lost hope in America and my dad hasn't either," said Hogg with his father by his side.
Responding to claims he is in favor of repealing the Second Amendment, Hogg said he doesn't "want to take a constitutional right away from American citizens."
He believes Americans can own a gun if they are mentally stable, don't have previous major convictions and are "not going to go out and commit these atrocities."
"We have a right to live just as we have a right to bear arms," he said.
Echoes of Sandy Hook
Hogg's experience is similar to what happened after the 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, that left 26 dead -- most of them young children. Some conspiracy theorists said the shooting was faked by the government and accused victims' families of being paid actors.
"They don't think anything bad ever happens, they don't think anyone ever gets hurt," Len Pozner, whose 6-year-old son was killed in the shooting, told CNN in 2016. "They think whenever they see anything on the web or on television that is a crime or mass casualty event, that has to be a hoax."
Pozner said he had received threatening voicemails and other online hatred in the wake of the shooting. In 2016, a Tampa woman was indicted on four counts of making threats against Pozner.
In response to the false accusations, he created an organization called the HONR Network, a non-profit dedicated to "stopping the continual and intentional torment of victims."
Back in 2016, Pozner said he didn't think the hatred would ever stop.
"I don't think so, I don't think it will ever go away," he said.
I don't think that kid is a crisis actor but I do think he's been coached - by his dad or others. On another note, it's pretty fucking sad that the son of an FBI agent turns out to be some pre-queer soy boy like Hogg. Bet the parents have been separated a while.

While I do not believe in the crisis actor story, there is no doubt these children were specifically chosen to push the anti-gun narrative. It's fucking sick that these kids will whore themselves out on their classmates deaths, and that CNN will stoke fear and division for money.

Oh, I don't know about that. I think their credibility is at its lowest point in a long time.
Ten years ago "false flag" was a fairly esoteric term, now its a meme.
That's not to say they are ineffective, just trusted to a far lesser extent than at any other point in our lives.
Im hopeful its turning but unfortunately the numbers (in dollars) indicate otherwise.
They dont give flying turd about credibility. Its not about journalistic integrity... its about profit at any cost
Pew Research on Cable News Revenues
Quote:According to Pew Research Center analysis of Nielsen Media Research data, viewership increased for cable news channels in 2016. In prime time, combined average viewership for the three major news channels (CNN, Fox News and MSNBC) increased by 55% to 4.8 million viewers. (Audience data for the three major financial networks – CNBC, Fox Business and Bloomberg – are not available.)
Quote:...revenues increased to $5.5 billion for CNN, Fox, MSNBC in 2017 (sic)
