Sorry, my bad. He is not a typical mormon. He goes to the church to seek financial help from time to time but used to be a drunkard and heavy smoker. My gf grew up with highly narcissistic mother who would demean her through out her life, if that helps understand why she married this loser. Mormon society is high patriarchal .

A few points;

1. If your Ltr is the best woman you've ever met and you were planning to get married to her next year, what was the point of the fling? If the marriage and the green card are important to you, you could have excercised a little restraint. It's not easy in the heat of the moment I understand, we've all been there but if these things are important to you, you wouldn't put yourself in that situation in the first place.

I agree i made a mistake by getting involved with this 19 yr old, it was a moment of weakness for me. But the sluttiness of the girl and me being away from my girl had some part to play. She basically jumped on me once we got isolated.

Regarding bringing up someone else's kid, i think its a personal choice and the relation you share with the kid. Many people adopt kids and bring them up as any biological parent would. Steve jobs was an adopted kid.

After seeing all the deep rooted hatred for women and lack of compassion/maturity from the members(apart from ski pro), i must say i am deeply disappointed. I have seen members complain about women, but where are all the men? Where is the man which takes pride in his generosity, ability to provide and doing acts of kindness. Someone who can look beyond the flesh and bones.

To all those who keep bringing up " You will find better/hotter chicks" i already know that (and believe me when i say i have had them) but my goal in life at this stage ( i am 33) is not to find better hotter chicks, but to have one fulfilling relationship throughout life. Most of us don't hate women, we love women.
What is very noticeable, and people react to, is a denial or lack of understanding to major red flags.
If you would say: She has some red flags, like age, already has a child etc, but we match very well in many ways and I don't want to have any kids myself anyway.
