The best thing to do is to tell the truth, in my opinion. You made a mistake. Your future wife deserves to know the truth. Blocking the younger girl may not end the problem. If she likes you so much, she may look for other ways to get back to you. Talk to the girl you had a fling with and calmly make her realize that what you did was wrong. After, talk to your wife. She has to know if you plan on marrying her. You just have to be honest. Accept the consequences of your actions.

Let's say he makes a little over 100.000 in NYC, that's the same as making 50-60.000 elsewhere. So I don't think that amount sounds strange for a well educated guy in his mid 30s.
