The "sorry for the late response" text
How do you guys handle "sorry for the late response" texts? I got one from a POF chick (American), have been talking but nothing special, no dates yet or whatever. I'm trying to see if I should continue this conversation or if this communicates disrespect.

I hit her up on Friday with a question about a mutual interest, she hits me back on Monday with an answer, then writes "Sorry for the late response, I was moving and didn't see your text."

I'm going off of the pretty good assumption that chicks basically stay pasted to their phones and any excuse saying they didn't see a text is BS. What do you guys think...is this disrespect enough for me to next this beech or do I keep talking like nothing happened

Prepare and execute. Both must be done; neither may be forgotten. God demands that you represent Him properly out in these screetz

Personally I wouldn't acknowledge it and just push forward towards a meet as soon as logistically possible, if that doesn't happen / it stalls then move on.

RE: The "sorry for the late response" text
Abundance mentality, colega. Honestly, It is super hard to believe that a girl doesn't check her phone in 3 days. I don't know any chick who can spend more than an hour without seeing her messages. Depends of you, You can next her or give a second chance and push for a meeting, if she decline, you already know what to do.

Anyways, my advice is that you should always try to meet the girls ASAP, you will save a lot of time and effort. In the past, i made the mistake to text to create comfort with different girls, time passed and even if the girls were interested at the beginning, they ghosted.

"OK. Beer #2 is on you" then go into a "gentleman who pays for first drink" type joke if she plays nice or "Now you're paying for beer #1 too" if she's cheeky/playful

And set up a meet up for the beers!

Ignore it.

If you acknowledge the sorry-not-sorry fake apology, the perception might be you were waiting for her to text you back.

As CleanSlate stated, ignore it and stack forward. Case in point. Had a chick reply to me a month after first date saying she was sorry with an explanation. Waited 2 days before replying/setting next date. Banged a few days later.

I don't believe her. Tough one though. For now you are just one online profile out of many, that caught her attention. During times when you don't have options, it really can trip you up. For me the problem is that she could be 're-setting' her response times, meaning she could do it again, since it has flown under the radar before.

RE: The "sorry for the late response" text
Little bit of a dupe:

/thread-12831.html

If you're calling her a beech having not met her or had much negative interaction with her, I'd do some introspection. That's not a good headspace for approaching/flirting with girls.

Now, moving sounds like a semi-legit excuse and she did apologize and get back to you directly after the weekend. I say this only because your text on Friday clearly wasn't that interesting. A mutual interest question could be I suppose, but I suspect it wasn't that interesting and it wasn't enough to bring her into your world of fun, flirting, hanging out doing cool shit, etc...

I could be wrong, you'll have to judge that yourself since you didn't choose to share your actual texts, but overall it seems like this is what others say, "ignore and press forward."

The other option is to cheekily call her out on it or just turn it into a joke/segueway:

"Thank you actually, I hate all aspects of moving..nicer place at least?"

"Did you unpack the wine glasses yet?"

etc...

RE: The "sorry for the late response" text
For me apologising in any sense is DHV to me. She acknowledges that there's been some delay in communication and not only brings it to attention but takes accountability for it.

However whether I also acknowledge it depends purely on how polite I wish to be with the girl in question. If I'm dating her absolutely I'll write "no worries, no need to apologise blablabla".

They still do it anyway because I tend to date that kind of woman.

If I've just met her or we haven't even met yet I'll ignore it, or sometimes say something like "Appreciate the apologies but honestly it hadn't occurred to me, I've been pretty occupied".

Personally I wouldn't think about it much.

You just do you and sometimes it works out sometimes it doesn't.

There is no exact science to this stuff. You just push and see what happens.

She apologized in person? Was this not a first date then?

I'd be interested to see if she cancels or ghosts on you. I'm pulling for ya man but I see a lot of dudes giving girls too many chances(more than one) and being too lenient at times which further reinforces the behaviors they have today. I'm hoping though she is genuine.

No date. I see her at the gym. We'll see about if an actual date happens.
