Germany has a rather efficient health care system and if there were no migrants, then the medical support of the locals would not strain the budget much. The problem begins when you invite millions of unemployable 3rd worlders into your country - then it goes to shit.

Before the migrant crisis hit the news-this was about three or four years ago I think- I was in SJW enclave Göttingen where every third person seemed to work in something related to helping refugees.
One such person managed to write me down for some quasi free dental attention with a place associated/paid by whatever association he was in.
I remember his being adamant about my not screwing up and missing the date, I found out later that it was due to the refugees never showing up or showing up horribly late.

In my bouncing around poor assistance houses and places I came to learn how many of this social science enthusiastic students or graduates employed in this places knew jack shit about the most basic european border and international migration laws and policies.

Germany has an excellent health care system which to my understanding is a mix of public and private, mandatory health insurance provision as a percentage of one's income, not to exceed a certain treshold (think it is around $800), and then you obviously do subsidize some people, but at least have the option to choose your own health insurance provider and which hospital to be treated at. German hospitals are some of the best in the world.

Two years ago, scandinavian trip.

We reached Norway in our maiden trip with my bird , we realized August was looming near and that we werent properly equipped to keep going north so from the outskirts area of Oslo we decieded to hitch hike soutwards to catch a ferry back to Denmark.
One woman who picked us up took us to see her farm which showed signs of having seen better times but was still a beauty to behold. Her husband who was in the companion seat was completely stones and barely conscious as he had just came out from a treatment session for a degenerating condition that was eating away his body and mind.
During our brief stay there the woman explained to us that they were horse and dog breeders and that the husband's condition would not be treated beyond paliatives and painkillers by the norwegian healthcare system as it was considered a lost cause.
She apparently discovered that such treatment existed in Germany and was of the very best that could be accessed in the world so she took him down there and for a while he recovered but the costs for a (legal/visiting) foreigner were too high and they had sold off most of their horses and part of their land in order to pay up and eventually they ran out of cash and couldnt come back to continue treatment in the fatherland and were doing what they could to ease the man's pain back home.
It was bloody tragic, you could see the desperation and sorrow in this woman's eyes as she would realize her powerlessness at seeing her life partner and child's father crumbling away. And frankly, he didnt look as if he would live past the year.
We camped outside that night because the bird couldnt take the tragedy that permeated everything there.

Now this story would be fairly irrelevant in any other aspect: though luck, the german healthcare system has no reason to adapt or to not demand compensation from a foreign national for services it would give with advantages to it's own taxpaying nationals.
Except it does give out said services to alien groups that not only do not pay into the system and actively take from it but that also incur a crippling degradation of the very foundation upon which these services rest upon...

You Go, Germany!

The German healthcare system could be copied by the US since it has a good combination of both single payer for the majority as well as better earners getting the option of slightly better care, luxury rooms etc.

The Swiss has an even more financially focused single payer system and that works out equally well - even better frankly.

Both systems are significantly cheaper and better than the American system. Even if you are a billionaire I don't think that you will get better care in the US, since you then have the best insurance, but will likely pay less than in the US. But one thing is sure - the US corporations make far more money then the ones in Germany and Switzerland - even if you account on a per capita ratio.

Now of course those systems in Europe will likely fail sooner or later or restrict their basic options in the coming decades as tens of millions of eternally unemployed eternally ungrateful immigrants cannot uphold the same level.
