I realized that according to your posts, Rio was overall better for women. Easier, better nightlife, and bigger chance with high quality girls (8s and 9s). You said the local men in both countries where equally jerks. Why are you picking Cali (Colombia in general) than Brazil then? I have the feeling than Cali specially is way more dangerous than both Bogota and Rio. Why not Bogota then if it is safer, easier and with a more things to do?
I have a feeling that Cali is cheaper than those two cities, i guess that can be a factor. Would really appreciate your answer.
---
I see now that you said Cali is safer than Rio. Looking at the murder rate is about 120 per 1000 in Cali and 30 per 1000 in Rio.
That data sheet is old and it's not my thoughts anymore. I don't recall saying that men in Colombia are jerks, if I did, I don't believe that anymore. Colombian men are some of the nicest men I know.
I also don't think it's easier to get 8's and 9's in Rio than in Colombia. I do like the nightlife in Rio better because it's more European and while I do find the women easier there , I just don't like the country.
Cali is my favorite because I like sitting on a warm balcony, with a naked woman, smoking a cigar, and then walking down the street to do some salsa dancing. There is nothing wrong with Bogota, I like Bogota and the weather is more pleasing than Cali. Cali is just where I feel at home. Everyone has their favorite spot. As far as danger, I don't care about that. To me, getting shot in the head is much better than suffering from cancer for 5 years and withering away. If Cali was safe, I wouldn't go there because it would be overrun with gringos.

I think back to all the times I overtook 18 wheelers in blizzard conditions in Canada while driving 12 hour straight to a rig job on mountain roads.
Or getting so drunk in Ireland I tried to drive my car into the sea thinking it was the way home. Ireland is also the only place I have been mugged (3 times)
Or my first year surfing where I would get smashed consistently in huge waves I had no business being in. I have two scars on my face from surfing and have been nearly knocked out or drowned quite a few times.
And I'm not even one of the guys who has been deployed abroad.
Looking at stats doesn't paint an accurate picture. I walk around here everyday in a neighbourhood where I am the only foreign guy and never feel in any danger. If something happens then fuck it's my time I guess and I will deal with that then.
Dont let stats hold you back from anything in life. Unless its raw dogging a girl from Nigeria.
I raw dogged a girl from Nigeria, fuck it, YOLO.
God damned them all, I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns-shed no tears, now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!

It varies, depending on the country, but it is pretty obvious that latinas, in general, are more affectionate, than most women from other parts of the world. This is even more so, at the beginning.
Though, for me, the true test of women's affections is what happens months or weeks, after you leave the country.
In that sense, I don't consider colombian women, as particularly affectionate, specially compared to brasileiras.
Once you leave, most colombianas go about their business and quickly forget.
Brasileiras have a harder time forgetting.

So do Mexicans. With Colombians, it's usually a few missed phone calls or unanswered texts after you leave and that's the end of it. Most girls regardless of nationality, seem to expect that, for example, when I meet a girl, then leave the country, then see her again when I return they often say, "I never thought I'd see you again."

Mostly. I prefer it that way. Makes it easier for everyone.
Though, at the same time, I appreciate it, because that kind of affection and loyalty is rare nowadays.

I don't know bro. That's not my experience at all. I'm not sure why we are having different experiences.
Are you connecting with these girls, meaning you're writing them to check on the health of their family and sending them voice notes to tell them that you are thinking about them?
Linux, I am sure if I did that, there might be a few who wouldn't forget so quickly.
The point is I never do that, with girls from any country. But, whenever I leave Brazil, even if I act cold and indifferent, there always are several who keep contact (with affection and they always use the words "tenho saudades")... some up to a few years.
Merenguero and I agree that Mexican and Brazilian chicks, in general, are more loyal and affectionate (in the long term), which doesn't mean that much, since most of us, are still not looking to settle down with a chick soon.
Also, IMO, you can bang, with no native language skills easier, in Colombia than in Brazil.
Obviously, there always are exceptions.

Did some online reconnaissance yesterday, but was not too impressed. I will get Colombian Cupid next week and see how that goes.
If you're arriving from Ecuador, take a look at Ipiales.
Too similar and close to Ecuador for my taste. Even Pasto, reminds me of Ecuador somewhat.
It has to be a small city north of Pasto and south of Bogota.

Yes, I just realized the gym with pool was the one you mentioned. What was the monthly cost?
Ever try Hotel gym memberships in Bogota?
In Quito, I have a membership in The Hilton Colon fitness complex and they have a good gym, a nice outdoor heated pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. They also provide towels. water and fruits.
The monthly rate is $120.
