RE: Why is MGTOW in the manosphere so ridiculed?
@It_Is_My_Time:
Sounds like you are taking charge of your life, which is great.
But I have some questions about what you've said here.
You said that with your schedule, "there is no way I could take 2 weeks to travel to another country. And to be honest, it isn't worth it just to get laid."
You also said you have basically sworn off of sex with American women.
So what are you doing for sexual activity right now, here and now, for you sexual needs? Are you just throwing in the towel, and resigning yourself to celibacy?
Do you see my point? As it is now, it looks like you have no sex life. If I'm wrong, tell me I'm wrong.
(And if you're banging prostitutes, that does not qualify as a "sex life." )
By adopting the idea that you're going to work and slave for 20 years just to hopefully move abroad, and to be miserable for 20 years in self-imposed celibacy, is not what I consider an acceptable option.

And I would have to disagree with you completely on traveling abroad to meet women.
If you think it's "not worth it" to travel abroad to find foreign women and girlfriends, then I don't know what more to say.
I've been doing it for years, and have had some of the best, most fulfilling relationships of my life.
I just don't understand your thought process.

I have no sex life, you assertions are correct. I would certainly avoid Prostitutes in the USA with all the sting operations and our govt. so desperate for more revenue.
Well, I am about 17 years into the 20 years of hell, so there is light at the end of the tunnel. So I am about on the other side. But I have not seen a reasonable option for men not born into great wealth or the right connections to move overseas. IMO, one night stands or even fuck buddies is far too risky in the USA, and moving overseas is almost impossible for most men in the USA.

Not really, I don't have the time or energy... instead I'm concentrating on building my portable business so I could move to either SEA, SA, or EE to be with feminine women instead of "giving up" and staying in the West.
We're getting a bit off topic on this thread... but you can start a thread with more detailed specifics and facts about forex markets, interest rates, and how you think things will go down. I think it will get a lot of participation.
Okay, well following Forex and the news releases are what one of my jobs entails. I am in it every day. The Fed is pushing hard to raise interest rates, which in laymen's terms means they know we are fucked and are trying to push the pain back on the American people to get them to wake up. It is likely a last desperate attempt before Austerity measures, which signals the beginning of the end.
Which is why I wouldn't take my small little $1,000,000 and move overseas right now. I don't know if I would do it with any amount with what is likely coming in the next 5 to 10 years.
I hope I am wrong, but this looks too obvious.

@It_Is_My_Time:
Can't you see that you're falling into a trap?
You're foregoing proper life balance and happiness now (i.e., being celibate), for the uncertain prospect of an elusive "happiness" in the vague future?
You say you have money. So? So what? Do you think your money is going to save you? Do you think you're the only one with money? Do you think your riches are going to cushion you from the disasters of life?
Don't you know that your precious hoard of cash--which you value above all else--can be taken away from you in the blink of an eye, by any random act of Fortune?
It can all vanish, man. Faster than you think.
And if this "social collapse" plays out like you believe it will, doesn't that make my point even more?
And in your best-case scenario, will you be in your 60s and 70s, with some money, but have no way to enjoy it?
My point is this: YOU NEED TO START LIVING NOW. YOU NEED TO KNOW YOU ARE MORTAL. YOU NEED TO KNOW--NOT THINK, BUT KNOW--THAT YOU ARE GOING TO DIE.
You are falling into the trap that many guys fall into. They fail to enjoy their lives in the present, and focus too much on an elusive future. And the truth is that it is all just an elaborate rationalization mechanism. It's a way of avoiding the need to deal with reality now.
I think you would benefit from reading my book "Stoic Paradoxes."

Why not?
If the US economy is going to implode anytime soon, I would want to get the hell out before that happens.
If the US economy does tumble it will have massive world wide effects. A good % of the world depends on the US for many of their day to day activities and ability to stay safe. It would be far worse in many other countries than the USA. Doubly so for a US Citizen.
So, just stay here, swear off women altogether, and sit on the couch watching the news waiting for something to pop?
I think I'll take my chances overseas.
You can do as you please. I just am doing what I think is best for myself and will offer my advice.
Swearing off women isn't all that difficult, being most of them in the USA just are not even fun to be around for more than 5 minutes. And with the free time it allows you to do and learn so many cool things.
I know my goals in life and I know I must achieve them before I find a woman. And even once I do achieve them, I realize I probably will not find a woman because there are so few of any quality left in the world that you can trust in the shitty US system that is set up to destroy families.
At some point I just learned to face reality. My grandfathers got shot at in war, nearly died at young ages, worked long days out in the elements to just feed their families. They watched their friends in war die. They had to kill what they ate on the farm. They had to face possible starvation and going without. Life has always been a struggle. So I just have to live without women for a while, with no temptation to be with one because so many around me are so unattractive. It is a miniscule sacrifice compared to the older generation of men.

I am extremely happy. Probably one of the most optimistic and happiest people you could ever meet. The reason is because I don't "want". Want is the core of unhappiness. If I see a rare attractive woman, rather than wanting her, I realize the reality of the situation. She will destroy some other chump and not me.
My money will not just vanish as how I have it invested. I don't see a societal collapse in the USA, but I do see it in a majority of the non-western world. That is why I would rather be in the USA, where we might have some economic set-backs but not killing squads and total govt. shut down like I think you might see in a good portion of the world.
My only goal is to get out of the shitty middle class existence. That is all I really care about right now. For the young guys, I cannot stress how shitty middle class life is and how much it will suck your soul dry.

I'm glad you clarified this. In your previous posts i thought you were saying the opposite.
Even during the 1929 Great Depression when there was 25% unemployment it still meant 3 out of 4 people had a job.
If there is another financial crisis worse than 2008, and I agree the odds are looking high, the US is the best country to be in. It has the best infrastructure and rule of law than any country in the world.
Save that money, and continue researching other countries where the cost of living is low and the return on women are high.
My dream for years was to move to central Europe. Germany, Switzerland, or Austria. I love their culture, I love their people, and I love their weather. But I knew I was not in the position to move there at that time, and the economy was iffy and could impact them more.
We have two very important things that make me think the USA is safe. The freedom of speech, which allows us to dissent but also allows us to organize if things get bad. And the right to bare arms. The reason the elites struggle so much to infiltrate the USA is because of these two rights.
So I am waiting to see what comes of this mess. Can the west be saved? I don't know, but I do know until things look good again, I don't plan to leave the USA.
I completely understand the desire to have women in your life. I completely understand the desire to get the hell out of the USA. This country is a damn mess and the women are even worse. But I also know the reality of my situation, and MGTOW has not only been the best choice, it has saved me from a life of disaster and lead me to enlightenment. I look at all my friends from high school and college that got married or still are married, and I wouldn't change places with any of them. I look at my friends who just played the field and the same is true as well. MGTOW saved my life and now I am mature and see the big picture, I get to start over with a clean slate and a nest egg to boot.

RE: Why is MGTOW in the manosphere so ridiculed?
I wish it was just as simple as my looking at the worst case scenario. But it isn't. I am old, I am experienced, I am wise, and I know economics. The US economy has between 5 and 10 more years. The cuts it would take to save this thing after Obama's spending spree are far too drastic. It isn't a matter of if, it is a matter of when. And when it happens, I wouldn't want to be any place other than the USA.
$1,000,000 is enough to live in many places right now. But once the economy collapses, it no longer will be.
I am invested in about every avenue possible, as diversification is the key. But with what we are facing, it isn't about protecting your wealth, it is about not being in a 2nd or 3rd world country when the tidal wave from the US economic collapse hits. The chaos and violence will be disastrous.
