Yeah, I lived in hotels for a while with my Cambodian girl, and she dropped tips on the staff on the regular. I've noticed other girls doing that sort of thing too, especially ones that grew up hard, and I've since embraced the habit.

Sprinkling 50 php bills around is a very small sacrifice to us but makes a lot of difference to someone this low on the economic ladder - it's a habit that goes a long way.

But here's my advice - do it on the regular for small favors and tasks already (they hail a cab for you, when you happen to cross paths with the maid on her way to clean the room, room service, carrying bags to room, settling your bill at the front desk, just because you're in a good mood, etc, etc), and that way you don't have to get so bold as to grease their palm just to get the girl in the door, which can be a little awkward and possibly even "feel dirty" to the staff.

They'll already be treating you like royalty and hesitant to put you on the spot, so it will very likely be unnecessary.

Roccker, I would concentrate on FC rather than Pinalove.

FC will still give you frustrations with flakey girls and dumb girls that provide the wrong height, weight, location, etc.
But there are a lot of relatively genuine girls on there as well.

After seeing Pinalove mentioned on here, I have tried it in the last couple of weeks here in Manila.
My results are 100% failure, between the hookers and the girls that are dumb as a rock.

Similarly, I used DIA (date in asia) a couple of years ago here and in Bangkok, with some results.
It is also free, but the quality is shabby.

Sometimes you need to look at the value rather than the price.

Quezon City is a city not a area of Manila. You label your city as Quezon City.
Quezon City is a city in Metro Manila(National Capitol Region). One of 17 cities.

Right wtf just happened to me in Davao...

Was in Hybrid last night, get to talk to some malay guy and black american that are studying here in Davao, whatever we having a nice chat so far. As the first hour goes by the american guy sends his girlfriend home, later he explains to me that he does this to be able to game girls.

So I see opportunities and approach a group of girls, malay and american stay at their own table to shy or whatever, succes, pulling tonight (that's what i thought).

After spending some times with those girls, I go outside to have a smoke, american guy comes out with me, starts accusing me of racism lol.... I try to figure out wtf he is talking about as I am never racist and in general get along with everyone. So I ask him what the fuck his problem is and why he needs to start a scene... Apperently I have been calling him a monkey wtf we just got along great about 1 hour ago...

So I avoid him and calmly go back inside, he goes to security and has me kicked out of the fucking club, can't believe this bullshit man..... After he got me kicked out he starts chasing me to the taxi's starts threatening me, what a fucking weirdo man.

If you think the intensive work required for pipelining is a drain while you are at home, then you will find it much more so with all the variables going on in your new surroundings after you arrive.

@Deneuk, competition anxiety sounds likely, either that or somebody put words in his ear. Deneuk, it just sounds like a drunken misunderstanding to me - you did say he started out pleasant. Unfortunately, that type of thing happens sometimes in alcohol-fueled environments. The "he was intimidated by my alphaness" sounds like a bit of a reach. Haha

If you plan to stick around Davao, you may want to contact the guy and smooth it out, not from a place of fear but just from a place of not wanting to have enemies, especially over a guy misunderstanding what you said. @wrighter That's interesting what you said about the Filipina. Are you black? It's not that I doubt her words, but my experience is Southeast Asian women often tell you just the side of the story they think you want to hear (as with many women).

I can't tell you how many Asian women, even Filipina, have spat out the most racist shit about black guys to me, never losing the sweet smile on their face. I remember one time I was hanging out with a bunch of Nigerians in a club in Phnom Penh and my girl stumbled her drunk ass up to me: "Honnnney why are you hanging out with blaaaaaaack guys?!" When I read your story, the first thing that went through my mind was that he's trying to remove competition. If it played out exactly as you described, that can be the safest explanation.

If I had to throw out a guess, this is what was going through his mind:

Or he could just be neurotic. But it's common for some American blacks to be obsessed with race. In school, through their parents (mom?), through their community leaders, in the media, and especially from race baiting talking heads, racism is blamed for all their problems. They hear this over, and over, and over, and many come to believe it. This makes it easier for them to blame racism instead of themselves for a shortcoming. In your case, maybe he wanted to blame racism instead of his lack of courage to approach the group you already opened.

To give an example, I was driving home with a black friend at 3am. It was completely dark out and we were the only car on the road. We got pulled over by a cop, who then informed me that my headlights were off. I felt like a complete moron, and the cop let me go with a warning. My friend said it was bullshit, and thought that he pulled us over because a black guy was in the car. The fact that we were driving through a quiet neighborhood at 3am with my lights off didn't get a look in.

To be fair, I'm sure there's many cases where blacks are treated unfairly due to racism, and negative association with rap culture. But the level of obsession over race is something I don't see in other races, or even non-american blacks. I've had 2 Nigerian friends, and I can't remember either of them ever complaining about racial issues. Also, middle class churchgoing American blacks can be some of the most pleasant people you'll come across, and usually hold themselves accountable. At least, that's the impression I got.

Is anyone else seeing extremely hot girls with chubby, dorky looking, Korean or Chinese looking dudes? 50% of the times I go into a Starbucks/Coffee Bean, I'll see one of these couples. These girls are legit 9s and 10s. What's up with this? (In my three months of being in the Philippines, I have never seen a white guy, Brad-Pitt-lookalike or otherwise, with such a girl.)
