I've always heard that it's notoriously hard to get laid in Asheville because there are so many lesbians there resulting in a shortage of single heterosexual women. I recall seeing a quote years ago from a guy "In Asheville, she's not your girlfriend, it's just your turn."

But in a hippie, New Agey town, it makes sense that these guys as coffee shop owners would have the status that a nightclub owner has in other cities. They control a major social venue- giving them local power, fame and status. That must have been a huge boost over other guys in town.

It's interesting that the guy wrote about being shamed for his sexuality while in catholic school. I thought his writing would go in a completely different direction: that it was puritanical bullshit then, and it's the same BS now. How disappointing.

I had a similar experience as I went to catholic school and was constantly shamed for my male sexuality. Even imagining a woman naked was evil. It set me back so many years. When I finally let go of the puritanism, and realized having sex with hot chicks is OK, I was finally happy for the first time

I thought the same thing. I thought he was going to say that he regretted the shame then, and he is never going to allow it to affect him again.

What a collapse. Even if you haven't read any game or other manosphere blogs, how can you not see how much worse everything becomes when you apologize and back down?

There is a story ever other day about some guy who gets crucified over nothing, and the only ones who come out unscathed are the ones who double down.

The fact that these guys have a game podcast, means they really really really should know better. I know the dude probably blinked because he felt his livelihood was on the line, but still. No excuse.
