I have already noticed over the past decade that many things they use to run well, are now having all kinds of problems and getting worse. I think part of the problem is that many people are just doing enough work to not get fired (at least until they can get on disability or retire) and do not care about many things unless their job is in danger.

Nah you're just as likely to see this kind of closed-off body language and constant skirt-fiddling on the way to a venue, even before alcohol has been consumed. The girls I saw yesterday walking to the pub happened at 4 in the afternoon, but I'd just as likely see it when the girls are dressed up on their way to a Horse Racing Carnival at 1pm.

I'm not sure why they think it'd win me over, perhaps it's due to the Whedon-inspired TV shows they consume.

- Obsession with denying their human needs for sex and intimacy in every context, even ones that are traditionally known for singles to meet. I'll give you an example. Being a dancer of various styles, I know nearly every dance school in this city. They all used to advertise themselves as a place for guys to meet girls, and tell the guys how girls love a man who can move. Vice versa, girls got told they could meet a classier, more cultured type of men (read: richer, better educated - you don't see the other types taking up dancing as a hobby much). And that worked great: the schools went through decent growths in my earlier years of dancing, people went there to meet the opposite sex for hookups or relationships, and have a great fun time as well.

Then our awkward Millennial girls came onto the scene and suddenly it's about "the love of the music/dance", "hanging out with friends", "the community", "consent in dance partnership" etc. Dance schools stopped advertising themselves as venues for romance (probably would get boycotted if they did), policed the scene hard for any attempt to hook up and desexualised themselves with BS like reducing alcoholic consumptions and encouraging baked goods (which partially is why they attract lots of fat chicks these days). The girls and the schools wonder why the men stopped coming... and of course they try to shame us with the usual well-worn lines.

It used to be that girls went to such venues with the "honest" intention of looking for a relationship, although occasionally it just happened and they slipped and fell onto some strange dicks. That was their plausible deniability, and part of the dance. Now it's rapidly reaching complete denial of their sexuality and intimacy needs. "I'm just here to hang out with my friends" is no longer a line to turn down unattractive guys when they're there all the time, never hook up with anyone and are perpetually single. It has become a powerful sex-negative self-talk.

This, this, a thousand times this! The women of my parent's generation, when met with an awkward situation, would adroitly smooth it over. Like if two men started to get argumentative at a party, the women would come in like clucking hens:

I looked at the cook and said, "I don't feel awkward, do you?" And when he said that he didn't, she waited for a moment and said:

Awkward is in ascendance for sure. Not directly related to AB's original post, but it does make things tense for no reason, and makes any social interaction difficult.

Every SJW I know at university already was one before they ever got there. School plays a big part, teaching has always been a left dominated profession after all, but I'm skeptical how much comes from the education system when there's only so much scope they have to indoctrinate. The rise in divorce and the associated domestic violence, sexual abuse and neglect in single parent/blended families is raising a new generation of the mentally ill. As you say, its particularly prevalent in the lower class communities.

What happens when people have untreated mental issues? They become susceptible to addiction to the drugs they use as a coping mechanism.

Modern mental health is a great improvement, and treatment is less stigmatised than it was in the past, but the public funding for it in Australia doesn't keep up with the need for it. As a result, these problems stay generational and there are all sorts of negative effects on the social/cultural capital in this country.

I like to keep an eye out on what's going on with the feminist coalition since some of the witchery that goes on there does occasionally leak to the general population and I've noticed that rise in anti-porn sentiments. As of now modern feminism is still mostly "sex-positive: and supporting of porn, prostitution and the like but there are definitely cracks appearing in the dam and I wouldn't surprise if it breaks completely.

I made a note a while ago that one of the contradictory things I see in feminism is the conflict between being "sexually liberated" and "not being sexually objectified" ie. being a stripper and porn star is seen as empowering while at the same times having a scantly clad video game character is sexist and objectifying. To borrow an old Marxist term, it looks the the "internal contradictions" of 3rd wave feminism are now manifesting and we're seeing the resulting break down of the narrative.

There were others all around the world from the NBA, NFL as well as European top soccer teams. Girls demanding cash, crying rape, claiming to have gotten impregnated, accusing men of "creepy" Game - etc. And do I have to remind everyone of fake accusations like Mike Tyson or Bill Cosby with very real consequences - after a set income and fame level than any race is ready for the taking, so no man is safe. Living in Australia at the moment is like watching a slow motion train wreck quickly gather speed. Unfortunately the most blatantly obvious solutions presented in this thread would see you tarnished with the tag of moron or any number of female/gay sassy condescensions.
