Mark my words, the media coverage and analysis of this event will center on misogyny and gun control. The fact that he was a homo won't detract from the misogyny angle, nor the fact that he killed a dude either, he's still a man who killed a woman and that will be the main focus imo. Plus bending over backwards to NOT make this a race thing (except in conservative media, where it will be mostly a race thing).

I expect the media/analysis to be nauseating and overbearing, but interesting just because theres so many directions that they can and will speculate/manipulate this. I refuse to over-analyze it myself, this was the act of one deeply troubled individual.

I have a pretty high tolerance for disturbing shit.

I recently watched a video of a Chinese man doing a swan dive from the top of a building after the Chinese stock market crashes and it didn't even faze me.

However, I cannot bring myself to watch these live murder videos and wish they were taken off the net. This is fucked up.

That's a pet peeve of mine as well SunW. I think the constant media and rapid spread of information makes unusual events like this seem more common than they were when news traveled slow (if at all).

One blog I follow, freerangekids, covers this issue from another angle (parenting obviously). Same thing, everyone seems to think all strangers want to kidnap their kid and penetrate their bootyhole. The media paranoia is making us all insular and antisocial compared to days past.

Does the TV station have fairly robust security at their main building? Just wondering, because instead of entering the TV station and killing all the managers, which is what many men do when they go postal against their former employer, this guy tracked down two staff members who were at a remote shoot.

One of the nightmares of working in management and having to discipiline or terminate problem employees is wondering if they're going to react like this guy. I think it's one reason why some organizations just let problem workers continue to work because they're afraid of setting them off.

All I see now is a now known gay dude doing what gay dudes do best in scorching the earth and getting 86'd before they turn 40.

The manifesto and his links to race were all linked to hysterical media and garbage that put on repeat the Charleston noise for weeks on end. For a petty psycho who used deflection all his life to navigate his issues it was easy bait for him to digest the Charleston saga and loosely put in on his issues of being a unemployable loser who just is feeling himself to much.

People are not giving a man who worked in the news business enough credit for baiting the press into giving him all the attention he wanted. The man crafted a story he knew would get air time, he took the videos, he planned this story from the start to never be bigger than him, it was not for any other reason but to make it about him, it was always about him.

It is almost fall, your neighborhood streets won't be filled with warm blood and shells. People are way over the top in here thinking this is some sky is falling type scenario. I watched the video. It kinda looks like the first shot went into either her arm or the meat around the gut.
A hit like that wouldn't drop someone, but it would shock the jnstinct to run in someone.

At the same time. Inexperienced shooters miss a lot with pistols. The dynamic is different from shooting a rifle.
I've unfortunately seen shooters miss each other after multiple rounds at close range.(Atlanta shooters are notorious for never aiming)

The shooter was cold an calculated, but I don't know why he didn't just make an attempt to shot for the head.

I don't know if it's professional conditioning or the fact that I use to play a lot of shooter games.
But I didn't flinch at the video..I instantly thought of Duke Nukem.
I think the video would have affected me more if it wasn't first person.

This killing is getting some major news. I saw it on Korean language news networks before I saw it on CNN and FOX.
Which I find interesting considering Korean news channels replaced this North Korea debacle and stock market cash with an American crime event.

The common link between Roger, Roof and Williams, as I see it:

1. "I desire X, therefore I deserve X."

Step 4 is the combination of Narcissism and Blame with the powerkeg of Eternally-Frustrated Desires, (lit through insanity, Authority Fingerpointing, or deliberate emotional retardation).

Social and entertainment media supposedly only cultivates Narcissism in those already prone to it, (though I still suspect it's too early to understand the long-term effects of constant maintenance of a Cultivated Online Persona).

Resistance to both accepting adult responsibility and strengthening emotional resilience is being culturally-normalised by Institutions such as the Media, Outrage Activists and Universities, who are deliberately infantilising the people they claim to be champions of.

These institutions also legitimise hatred of Group Y, though sometimes this process can happen through a groupthink process via sites like Tumblr, or even an Oppositional Authority Group like PUAHate, or Stormfront.

As such, the cultural conditions are exactly right to create more and more of these narcissistic, irrational, immature minds, prone to violence in the name of Justice, believing their cause is righteous, because this is what Extreme Leftism is designed to do: create cultural warriors who are willing to burn everything down and replace it with a Socialist Utopia. The sudden escalation of the cultural wars is simply the emergence of the first generation that has been programmed by their educational institutions to be Political Activists since they were born.

As such, I saw multiple people on social media today sympathising with the killer because they had gone through the same educational process that reinforced their hatred of White People that the killer hate.

It's not even just race. Hell, Roosh had a hate mob equating his writing a satirical piece on rape with being an actual rapist, and were hunting him in public with intent to physically-harm him, over words.

So, no, I don't see catastrophization on my part, just a simple observance of patterns through my life. The Feminist Meetings I sat in on as a young child spoke openly about destroying the power of the catholic church and ruining the nuclear family. The Lesbians on campus in the early 90's would talk about gaining control of the media and political bodies to silence any criticism of feminism and homosexuality. All of those ideas seemed ridiculous to me but they all came to pass within my lifetime. All that is left is to simply raze the old society: to create enough division within different groups that any sense of trust and community is impossible, and, with that, enough violence to demand increased powers handed to government, even if long standing rights have to be erased to achieve it.

When I hear 'You can't be racist against white people' and 'Free speech is problematic and needs to be abolished' and 'merit, intelligence and experience is not a valid reason to employ someone for a job', I understand these people aren't fringe crazies, but absolutely-serious in their intentions, and these things will come to pass, bar some major destabilising event.

The pace is accelerating. I suggest you find your community and strengthen the connections within it: it's the ability to see others as real, complex entities that is the best pushback. All else is just division and anarchy.

I don't know if Trump can stop where this country is heading, but this is where we are heading on the current course. We can't keep borrowing money forever. The economy is not recovering, no matter how much the liberal media tries to spin it. Eventually we will have some type of austerity, after years and years of the USD being devalued.

What % of people already cannot feed themselves and their kids without the govt. providing for them? How many more as the USD gets weaker, the true unemployment climbs even more, and more and more illegals come here to take lower income jobs.

We can already see the chaos in Greece and now throughout southern Europe. And that is without them having a full scale drug war and 300,000,000 guns and a big country (the USA) to provide national security for the continent.

If we don't get this turned around and soon, it is going to get ugly. We simply cannot borrow money forever to pay for this broken system. I certainly don't want to see this happen, I don't think any of us do. I have had a very safe and great life in the USA. Everyday I make sure to remind myself of how thankful and appreciative I am to have the privileged life of never worrying about food or water. It is a great mental exercise to remind yourself of how good you have it. But the fact remains, the country is heading in a dark place, and not because of some loan looney gunman like this. But because we cannot borrow money forever and people will want to feed their kids and their families.

Black, White, Hispanic, Arab, Kurdish... Europe, America, the Middle East... We're all waking up from a very powerful sedative (left-wing cultural subversion, equalism) and stumbling about with blurry eyes after we take our first few steps forward. There's never going to be a "happily ever after" for all colors of the rainbow. It's a myth, a fabrication, chasing after the wind. The sooner we realize this, the sooner we can take appropriate measures to ensure peace for our respective communities.

We can be best friends, drink together, chase tail together, and be brothers in every sense of the word. We should certainly encourage that. But at the end of the day I think we're too fundamentally different to keep staying in the same house together. The more Fergusons, Baltimores, and Charlestons I see, the more I think it's better to just part ways, move to different houses, and live as friendly neighbors rather than pissed off roommates.

I don't understand why speculating that the future will be way worse than the present is so confounding. Of course no one would like to see this happen, but it's possible that it will.

What the media is doing -- and you can see this on Google News -- is making it about him being "an angry man," and trying to isolate that as much as possible from a larger narrative.

This is the polar opposite of what they do when a given shooter is the type of person they don't like. Then it becomes all about creating a narrative, talking about who influenced him, blaming others, etc.

There's a Wikipedia page that was just created called "Murders of Alison Parker and Adam Ward." I took a screenshot of the section where they describe the killer. We'll see if the SJW crowd tries to change this as the days go by.

Addendum: Here is what the media will focus on: The people on social media who tie race and/or sexual orientation into this.

There are probably reporters right this moment scouring Twitter and Facebook, looking for "homophobic" remarks. Because if they can find a few, then they can write stories about that. And then they can conduct a witch hunt. Plus, they can switch the narrative to: "Aha! These are just the kind of hateful statements that caused the killer to go berserk to begin with! THIS CALLS FOR MORE HATE SPEECH LAWS FOR THE SAKE OF PREVENTION!!"
