Bullets don't work like in the movies. They don't always knock you down, and it's entirely possible to keep going for a bit even if you've taken a couple rounds.

Rangers during the Battle of Mogadishu kept thinking their rounds were missing or defective because the armor-piercing tips went right through guys that kept shooting back like they hadn't been hit.

If it's a smaller calibre pistol, it can be quite a while before the full effects are felt. This is particularly true if the round doesn't destroy the windpipe, heart, or sever the brain stem. Most likely he severed an artery or caused other major internal bleeding, that enabled her to make it a short distance before her systems started shutting down. Smaller rounds like 9mm are often far less lethal than people imagine, even from close range. Larger rounds obviously have greater potential to incapacitate through the shockwave spreading out through the body as the bullet passes through, causing severe trauma to surrounding organs.

You can see the split second where she got hit. She was able to run after that but you hear in the first cameraman video her voice change when she is in pain.

To many layers pass for a dude to loose his shit like this. Its hard to know the story but it is obvious the dude had it out for that lady and the network/employer.

You can simply see changes to his eyes and looks over the years. He goes from a typical squeaky clean looking news guy to a more distributed and removed man later on. He also seemed to a gotten fat after going hard in with the weights.

is typically what drives a man mad. We don't know the details but it is easy to speculate that any of those three things lead him to go nuts. Unless you are born crazy you are made crazy and typically its from factors that I noted above if he was at any point a stable, normal, guy.

He wanted his story out. The archiving via video, the faxes, and blasting this all over social media. He crafted a narrative he was attempting to put out.

When a person is initially shot they can still run, fight, and move as a normal person as long as it is not a 50 cal or some other ridiculously powerful round. once some time has passed and blood comes out they begin to suffer the effects of hypotension and pass out. Watch some videos of the Iraq war and you will see insurgents get shot by 5.56 and return fire for a couple seconds before they drop.

The guy who taught my concealed carry class was a veteran from Iraq who had been shot, he said often you don't even notice you've been shot that's why you see them checking their own bodies for holes because they don't even feel it.

If it's not a hollowpoint they're basically just poking a little hole in them. it wont knock you off your feet or anything

The reporter was 24! The Camera man was 27! Sad to see that happen to people so young. The Reporter was going to be married soon too! Meaning, she found the right man at pretty much the right time. . .she was doing everything right! Hell, even the cameraman had enough game to get himself a nice girl (he was engaged) too. Let's all keep this in context. You have a group who owns an entire political party in the country now that shouts down liberal politicians for saying "all lives matter" and forces them to apologize. The guy's twitter was only a week or so old and was filled with pics from his youth and such. Sent a 23 page manifesto to ABC. His past history was not good and was difficult to work with according to his boss at the TV station.

He was planning this for a while.

Typical for a guy like this to blame it on someone else. I seriously doubt she made racist comments towards the guy, but rather he is rationalizing his actions while attempting to be a martyr of sorts.

There is a lot of truth here.

When I was younger I was deer hunting with a .243 caliber rifle and shot at a deer 5 times from about 100 yards away. On the 5th shot the deer finally ran. As I approached I realized the deer only made it 5 years or so and had 4 bullet holes in him.

Why are people so willing to take an apparent murder's word for how he faced institutional and personal racism? Because it fits their personal narratives?

I wouldn't rule racism out, but I would also point out that a guy who videos himself shooting three defenceless people and then uploads the video to social media to boast might not be the most trustworthy source.
