Hey guys, I was in Osaka for the weekends and it really opened my eyes.

As a gamer in Tokyo, I had no idea how Kansai was like. Being the ignorant city rat I am growing up, I just assumed Kansai was going to be exactly like Tokyo albeit with the Kansai-ben. Boy was I wrong.

Osaka is hard. Like hard hard. I had one lay but she was an old friend and we were already going to meet up in Osaka so I don't count her. I had a day and a half. Tried both day and night game. Nothing. I could evoke the same responses from girls doing daygame but that was mainly using whatever little kansai-ben I knew to get a few giggles. I purposely avoided saying I was from Tokyo and just here on holiday, lying that I had just moved to Osaka from the capital because Japanese girls need that reassurance shit that I was a potential dating partner. I had 2 days so day game was honestly just to pass time. Night game is where it differed so much from Tokyo its scary.

I went to both an Osaka nightclub and a whynot party. In Tokyo, when a girl is down, she's down. LMR occurs but not alot and its normally just for show. In Osaka, I was making out with a girl for 2 hours, when I pulled her to the door, she said she wanted to dance somemore. I tried everything, I gave her more booze, I danced with her, I flirted, I made out with her and yet she still didn't let me pull her out of the club. I saw this one guy who was making out with another girl and she too left at the end of the night alone. It was scary, I have never experienced this ever from a J girl, makes me think Osaka is different country altogether man. Those who live in the Kansai/Osaka area, what are your experiences like? Is my description common fare in the area? I would go as far as to say that Tokyo girls are way easier. To use my shitty Kansai-ben, mecha mecha wakarahen~

Definitely true. The rise of esthetic salons and Hollywood celebs like Paris Hilton has had an effect. I'm all for it.

Having only been to Tokyo a handful of times, and mostly just to fly out, I can't comment. But maybe I need to hit up Tokyo...

I must have been going to the wrong places, Zerdame. Everywhere I saw in Tokyo had ratios that would make your eyes water. The worst I saw was a club where, on top of there being 95% guys, they had roped-off no-men-allowed women's sections, so the few women that were there you couldn't even talk to. Guys would lean over the rope to try and talk to them. Club ratios are notoriously bad in Japan, but Tokyo blew my mind. The few girls always left with their friends too, though frankly this is the norm (the other day I saw a rare case of a guy who had pulled a girl outside, at sunrise, and was desperately trying to get her to go to a hoteru with him, but it ended in her jumping in a cab by herself).

I'd go as far as to say "a club is somewhere you go to drastically decrease the number of women around you, destroy your sleep, fuck up your lungs and voice, and waste large amounts of money".

The Skotch style of 'approach everywhere at anytime' is the best idea. I just wish my Japanese was as good as his. It's a universal law - the hot ones don't bother learning English to chase foreigners, it's the other way around. .

I've been to Tokyo a handful of times and I'll chime in saying my experiences mirrored yours Phoenix. The ratios were absolute shit, spent one night with a Native buddy (who English sounds like that of a black dude from Georgia) hitting up 6+ clubs in Shibuya and Roppongi not a single place had ratios better than 80-20.

With that said, the ratios at my buddies live rock show in Shibuya were 50/50 if not better. I had the best luck walking around with a buddy and a bottle of wine in hand talking to all the girls who were doing street drinks.

I found Osaka to be tough too. Street game feels easier because the girls are more outgoing, but it's kind of harder to tell if they like you. I'd constantly open girls and get nowhere.

In Tokyo where the default state is icy/shy/cold, you really know when they open up to you. I'm not sure if Osaka is harder per se, it's probably just a subtle difference in game styles and what we are used to.

As for Osaka vs Tokyo nightlife, Tokyo ratios may be bad but are there even any decent venues in Osaka? It's swings and roundabouts. Nightlife is poor in both cities these days. Practically everywhere I have visited in Asia is better for night game, except maybe Manila.

As someone who's been hitting the clubs a bit too much in Osaka lately I'll hop in here. I've actually never gotten anywhere with girls in Tokyo, even when I went three weekends ago. Found the club to be too cold. In Osaka, which has some decent clubs in my opinion, girls tend to be much easier to approach. But, of the last 4 I've bedded over the last 5 weeks or so from Osaka, only one was a ONS. The others I met in a club, got their line, and after messaging for one to three weeks got them out on a date and banged afterward. The funny thing is, all three of them would have seemed like lost causes at the end of the night to a gamer used to focusing on ONS's or on more Western-style game in general. They were all with friends so I couldn't isolate, so just hit the dance floor with the group or pair of girls, then eventually they pulled the "トイレ行って来る" shit and left me high and dry.

So I'm now 3/3 on date lays, and starting to focus entirely on that game model. One of them, who I went out with last night, I hadn't even approached. Instead I'd approached her friend who was giving my glances, but quickly realized who the hotter one was. So, when they started taking infinite photos and shit I made sure they were on the hotter one's phone while I posed with the ugly friend and told the hot one to take the photo. Of course pulled the "send me those photos" move to get her LINE ID, and the rest is history . As for how many numbers lead to dates though, it's hard to say cause some of them I decide not to pursue as I'm past the initial focusing on notches stage and moving towards only going out of my way for 7.5+ girls, but when a girl makes an approach easy I usually roll with it and decide later. Moral of the story is, LINE game and getting a girl out on a date have paid off by far the most for me in Osaka. The clubs have been perfect for this.

They're passive/submissive because that's how the Japanese guys like it. The more assertive style that many western girls have is off-putting to them so I'm told by the internet. Namba/Shinsaibashi/Umeda are the big areas for nightlife. They're also pretty good for daygame as well, lots of cafes and shopping areas.

Tinder here is alright, last year it seemed like there was no one on it but now it has been fairly populated.

Haven't been posting lately because I've been shit busy and also frankly alittle lazy. I still get regular lays and actively seek out new girls to add into rotation.
