The results can vary incredibly like atlant said. I've seen guys who speak maybe two sentences of the native language but slay girls like it's their job. And then guys who are near fluent and live in a perpetual drought it seems.

With that said, I wanted to pop in here and say I ended up going to Suma beach in Kobe this past weekend. The bodies these girls have really make me question if I ever want to return back to the states and live among the hambeasts again.

Another thing I've been noticing, whether it's padding, wonderbras or simply double dipping on the tops so they have something sticking out where their tits should be. The amount of negative ass I see sometimes is more than shocking.

I tried everything, I gave her more booze, I danced with her, I flirted, I made out with her and yet she still didn't let me pull her out of the club. I saw this one guy who was making out with another girl and she too left at the end of the night alone. It was scary, I have never experienced this ever from a J girl, makes me think Osaka is different country altogether man. Those who live in the Kansai/Osaka area, what are your experiences like? Is my description common fare in the area? I would go as far as to say that Tokyo girls are way easier. To use my shitty Kansai-ben, mecha mecha wakarahen~

So I recently spent 8 days in Tokyo and wanted to give my thoughts and impressions, especially as a guy who doesn't necessarily like Asian girls. First off huge shout out to Tokyo Joe, his hospitality and willingness to go out of his way to help us was both invaluable and awesome.

Girls:

Here was the biggest problem for myself, and Courage who was traveling with me. We realized that we are not just that into Asian chicks so our hearts were just not there. Approaching girls without a real desire to bang them is tough. That would be the subjective side to my view. But let me try to be objective. There are some very cute and bordering hot Japanese girls...but they seem to be insular. A combination of social circle and knowledge of the language seems to be the key to unlocking these girls. Without either, as we learned, a lot of these girls will brush you away when you try to talk to them.

Outside Roppongi are the hotter Japanese girls it seems. From my limited time there, the ones in Shinjuku were actually the hottest. Now back to Roppongi, and god that area is seedy with all the Nigerians trying to scam you as well as the semi-pro girls trying to nab you when you are drunk and take you to their favorite bar or club. But...this is where the foreign groupies hang out. So with groupies comes ease. My two bangs that were not surprisingly in Roppongi required very little effort, and in all honestly a lot of it was just standing there and having white skin. In fact, some of these girls straight up approach you, which was new for me.

Japanese girls in general are very cutesy and act submissive. They also drink like damn fish, which was surprising. They are open to being touched excessively if you get past the initial screening.

Non-Asian girls here are attacked during night game, so don't waste your time with that. They have inflated values as a result.

Culture:

I knew it would be different, but not that different. These Japanese people are crazy is the only way I can put it, basically doing whatever the fuck they want. Eat whale, crazy ass porn districts, grope girls on the metro, Robot restaurant, etc. It was definitely a culture shock seeing all this. At one point we walked by some public square with a J-Pop band playing music and it was a bunch of men aged 20-40 jumping up and down and screaming like little school girls...so odd.

They are a very respectful culture however. Went out of their way to say hello and goodbye, and make sure everything was perfect for you. White gloves on the taxi drivers, lots of bowing, and so on.

City:

It's surprisingly hard to navigate. I got lost more than a few times and the signage is a bit confusing. It could have been just me but I travel a lot so I think I am somewhat capable in this department. Also taxis are so damn expensive. The skyaccess train broke down on our departure date, and given the unorganization of the train lines there they couldn't tell us in time how to get to the airport with any other public transport. We were forced to take a taxi, costing us $190. Of course we get there and our flight is delayed almost 3 hours. What can you do.

Food:

In one word, awesome. I can't stress how great the food is here. Everything from sushi to tonkatsu to yakuniku and so on. Some highlights: Kaoten ramen, Yoroniku, Daiwa Sushi, Gonpachi. I think this is one of the few trips where I put on weight as opposed to losing some.

Stories:

Night one I met up with Tokyo Joe at Gonpachi. After a terrific meal, head over to Roppongi which is pretty dead. I see two girls (one Japanese, one half Japanese/half Filipina) drinking by themselves and mention to TJ that two girls don't drink by themselves on weeknights unless they want to have fun. We approach and hook, proceed to pound a bunch of drinks with them across a few bars. We end up at a karaoke bar, both are making out and mine seems semi-shady. Try to get them to come home but they won't, so we leave them there. From what I remember anyway, this was after an 11 hour flight for me and heavy drinking. We end up seeing them out around Roppongi two more times in a week, so definite foreign groupies and I think mine was perhaps a semi-pro.

Night three we hit a club in Roppongi. This led to one of my two bangs. After wasting some time with some shy Japanese girls that were not really drinking but wouldn't leave us alone, we cut bait and searched for better. Eventually I was walking across one of the floors and a drunk Asian girl comes up to me and starts stroking my chest. She is beyond receptive to me, so I just go for the makeout and get it. After a lot of touching and groping, I just tell her to come back to my place. She is interested but has some logistics to work out with her friend, but eventually asks if I have a condom and agrees to come back so long as we are only gone for an hour because she has her friend's keys. On the way home she tells me she really likes white guys because "Japanese guys don't care about my pleasure in bed." We go home, bang and she sleeps over completely ditching her friend. Find out later her friend couldn't find her so went home with another guy at the club there.

Another random night out for us, Tuesday night, hit up the same club in Roppongi. It's actually not that busy but they pack everyone into one area so it gets going a bit. Try approaching some Japanese girls but they are not having it, until TJ swoops in with his language abilities and isolates one slender cutie. Courage and I are talking to some girls, make great traction with two but they just get up and disappear at one point. About 10 minutes later we have two other girls now, and mine tells me point blank she wants to suck my dick. I acquiesce of course and suggest my apartment to which she says no. So I say how about the bathroom and she agrees. We get in there, lock the stall and she just drops panties and we go at it.

5 minutes later, I feel the door being pushed through the lock and see a large black hand breaking the door down. The fucking Nigerian bouncer breaks in and takes pictures of us. He kicks her out of the stall and asks me what I want to do about the broken door and police. Got it buddy, you want some money. I'm pretty sure I could have just argued with him and he would have let me go but he was quite a large man and on the off-chance I was wrong about him calling the police I didn't want to take the chance. Eventually settled on $50 US and he let me out. Turns out he was very into the girl I banged and that's why he was being so butthurt. Regardless, we then leave to my apartment and Courage at least gets to bang her friend that was with us, so a good result from a rocky start.

A non-bang related story: We went to the NY Bar atop the Hyatt in Shinjuku, where they filmed Lost in Translation. Aside from it being a cool story to be in that hotel because of the movie, it is truly impressive. I was in awe being in that hotel, and especially seeing Tokyo from such a high elevation. Only then do you realize how truly big the city is.

Summary:

If you like Asian girls, Japan could be a heaven. If you don't, I'd suggest a few day trip just for the food and crazy culture. After about 5 days I was ready to move on personally since I fall in the latter category. I have no regrets coming, but if I could do it all over again I'd shorten the trip by a few days.

I wonder where you guys stay. I read about the love hotels but are most of you that are short therm there in a hotel or you use one of those shared houses? I plan a try to Tokyo for a few months and for this time a hotel is just to expensive.
Found some private rooms in shared houses but I also read that it can be tricky to bring guests - in detail women - that stay over night. Any suggestions?

What is your budget?

I'm always surprised how cheap the hotels in Tokyo are now in the mid-end. Long-term Airbnb would be the place to look in English, and I'm sure one of the experts can point you in the way of a similar Japanese website. These places have private apartments as well as rooms.

It seems to me you can find a place for around $1000/month USD on Airbnb. Locations are all over the place. $1500 seems to get you a nicer place. That doesn't sound bad to me at all for Japan.

Hey man, If you are planning on staying a few months I suggest airbnb.

A buddy of mine spent 3 months here and was using exclusively that. I think he told me it came out to around 30$ a day for the apartment he was staying at. The location wasn't too far from downtown either.

Oh, also sharehouses are pretty cheap maybe 500 a month if you are just looking for a place to crash.

For your goals, I'd say airbnb is the best bet.

Love hotels are ok, but a taxi back to your place would more than likely cheaper and less likely to have her freak out at the last second since that has a bit more deny ability than walking her towards the love hotel area.

I don't live in Tokyo tho, so hopefully someone more knowledgeable about the areas surrounding shibuya/shinjuku etc etc for where to get a place to stay.

I've been hitting up suma beach pretty regularly the past few weeks. Before I came to Japan I lived about 30 minutes from the beach in the states and would go several times a week. Sometimes dragging people from parties around 3-5am to drink more while the sun comes up. So even the dirty ass beaches Osaka have to offer are enough to keep pulling me back.

Since I only actually went camping with that thing once I wanted to put it to use, so I've started carting it off to the beach with me. This past weekend I was going to bring a buddy and hit on the girls there but shit happened and he bailed so I had a girl I had met once before and her friend meet me to chill for a bit.

I don't know if any of you here have been to the beaches in Osaka, but they get packed. So having this little box of seclusion made everything much easier. After her friend bailed, probably not wanting to cock block (really sweet girl). About 10 minutes later I tell her to come, basically just lay down on my arm and from there we started making out. I think it's just polarizing. The host boy look is the local standard of attractive male appearance, but girls who like foreigners often want something more masculine than that. Just try both for a while and see which gets better results. As usual, having muscles with it helps.

I grow shit beards so can't really compare, but most J-girls tend to prefer clean cut, smartly-dressed guys. My uncle (4yrs in Tokyo) and father (2 in Okinawa a zillion years ago) both spent time in Japan, and there were, back then at least, definitely gorilla hunters there - Jgirls who like their man meat hairy. Both told me that they found such girls (my uncle is half bear, my father just a normal westerner with some chest hair). Perhaps the appetite for this diminished as overall interest in foreigners has diminished as well, at least in major cities (Tokyo especially). I would guess if one got out of Tokyo, there is still some curiosity about this from Jgirls, but I cannot confirm (I can confirm the gorilla hunters are still very much alive in China, from personal experience).

In my experience, a beard / facial hair doesn't matter as much. I got complimented and told I was "ikemen" several times. This was both from American and Japanese women.

If you're not getting any compliments or acknowledgement about your facial hair then I would try the clean look. I did both in Japan and couldn't tell a difference.

But like dreambig said, the clean look is in and you can't go wrong using it.
