I believe it will get more natural with time.

Inspiring post Houston.
When you get comfortable enough to talk to everybody all the time you have it whooped. Walk into a place and when you approach the girl will think you're with a group of friends that you just met a few minutes ago. When you bounce you wont feel bad that you left or have to worry about logistics for your buddy who you just ditched 5 minutes after you showed up. Done deal. No turning back

@ houston

Congrats man. I'm still working on my solo game, but I guess I'm ok with it nowadays, but there are days that I fall back into my old patterns and fear takes over. But there are days I can do it without any problems... I guess it is part of the process.

I have to say that I only started going out alone (on some few occasions) while away from my home turf. Boy, was that an testicle-enhancing experience!

What are your taken on venue selection while going solo? My guess is that bars and lounges are harder than clubs, where you can roam around more. What you say?
I prefer bars, lounges, etc once nighttime falls. I would say that clubs are harder because girls are in huge groups and bitch shields are in full effect. I don't even really like clubs for gaming. I prefer them when I'm with a buddy and we're trying to have fun. Having to scream over music, crazy competition from other guys, etc. The only clubs that I think would work are actual dance ones (salsa), bars/clubs that have good spots to talk to girls or ones where you stick out like a muthafucker from other guys.

RE: How I got over my fear of going out solo
I remember being at rice village alone and I was thinking WTF do I do now.. thinking.. what would juggler do.. Talk to the most approachable people around you..
Ended up talking to these 2 guys on the out patio.. and then bounced in & out of the bar while getting my non-alcoholic beverage..
..and then this one time.. saw this hot/cute latina yawning.. and then it became my situational observational opening.. I am not sure but I think I might've posted this on Houston Lair.

PS: Clubs are PURE ENERGY game. You cant talk at all! Learnt it the hard way!
What I realized is .. you got to just pretend to listen & speak.. to the people .. But keep your energy up.. talk with your hands, facial expressions & actions..
and if you're playful.. then the energy catches on with people. ..Another good thing.. excuse to get up close to each other..'s ears.. and kino opportunities.

The point of modern propaganda isn't only to misinform or push an agenda. It is to exhaust your critical thinking, to annihilate truth.

What's scarier, going to a club by yourself, or never getting what you want because you are too afraid to take a risk?

Fisto, that is a great quote, that is basically my life philosophy.

Especially when it comes to biz, but really life in general.

It is all about planting the seeds. (so to speak).

Where did you come across it?

A guy I used to train with in Australia posted it the other day. He's been going to a sports psychologist to help get the right mental attitude.

Another good one is "The real question is, what would you do if you weren't afraid?"

Literally had to drag my ass to the car first time I went solo. It's not really that bad though. Your fear is that people are sitting around judging you and making jokes, but the reality is that you are pretty much invisible unless you're engaging them. I've only had one girl ask me if I came by myself and it left a positive impression on her, but the dudes I've talked to are absolutely floored when you tell them you're there by yourself.

RE: How I got over my fear of going out solo
Great thread, can't believe i missed it when it came out. Like Houston i'm a quiet guy. I just can't be that guy that walks in to a place and starts screaming wohooo !! Even when everyone is acting crazy and drunk like in most party places i still feel too self cautious to just let go. Its too bad because i would laid way more girls if i was an outgoing party guy but i have given up on becoming that guy. Its just not me. Maybe its because i'm mid-thirties now and feel more like an adult than drunk 20year olds.

When i was traveling i had no other option than to go out solo. Its a hard knock way to learn but the most effective. I stayed in a hotel room when i had the change and barely met guys to go out. Even in hostel i didn't bother too much to find guys to hang out with.

I feel fucking confident now when going out alone. If i can go out in (dangerous)foreign countries where i don't speak the language and clearly stick out from the crowd being the only white guy there, then i can just do about anything alone. I went to Salsa lessons recently all alone and to my surprise there were far more girls than guys.

I'm probably a bad wing man because i never actually winged that many guys.

Thats impressive.

I dont know if i still have the balls to go to a club solo, i havent done that for years.

But i usually prefer to travel alone and day game alone as long as i know where i am going, but if i have to hit a club, i will probably have to do it with a wing man.

First time I went out solo I felt Nauseousness. I ended up picking up a chick at my second venue I ventured to. Been going solo ever since when need be.

RE: How I got over my fear of going out solo
When I've planned to go out with my friends, I enjoy myself.

However, unless you're friends are excellent wing men, then rolling solo trumps it.

Firstly, it gives you freedom to do what you like, when you like - you call the shots.

Secondly, you probably will drink less.

Thirdly, girls really don't care, it's all how comfortable you are with it.

It's second nature for me to do it now.

I remember the first time I did it. For someone who's very outgoing and extroverted, I felt really odd. But that passes the more you do it and become successful while doing it.

Once you get laid being out by yourself, no one did the work but you, and it's one of the best feelings there is.

So great to see all these experiences from the forum. I've been wanting to go out solo but I just can't seem to do it, I feel that just doing it is the hardest part, so thats all I need to do, man up, get in the car and just drive somewhere.

The way you start is by going solo to a bar where you know everyone. After 2 beers you don't even care anymore.

Concerts are another good one. So many people there. It doesn't even matter.

RE: How I got over my fear of going out solo
Have not read all the comments but I definitely second the fear and anxiety of going out alone. I stayed on campus this summer for research and work detail and experienced the thrill of rolling dolo firsthand.

Since I'm still a beginner with game, it was mostly about bullshitting with people, learning how to network and make friends, and maybe score. If you have shyness issues, being surrounded with strangers and having no friends is a good way to strengthen your conversational skills.

First time I walked into a local college party myself, I had to fire up a cig outside the door and crack open a beer before I could work up the nerve, but it was awesome. It's the same reason why I karaoke sober. I still don't have enough confidence yet but knowing that I can do this by myself helps me be a decent approach machine when I'm rolling with friends.

Big thing I noticed though with the college groups is the "social network game". You have some minor "college celebrities" and they take turns boning the same group of easy girls. Their only game is that they proof each other. I think that if you threw these guys out into the field they'd probably fail as hard as any noob.

I'm proud of my fellow players on here who can go out solo and had to jump over obstacles to get there. Welcome to the club where 99% of guys out there will NEVER be able to join.

RE: How I got over my fear of going out solo
Thanks to everyone for posting in this thread and for Houston for starting it, it is truly an eye-opener and inspirational. I'm new to all of this but I definitely see going solo as a huge part of my game in the future. I'm at the age now where a lot of my friends are getting married and generally being lame. If that wasn't enough, within a year I will be moving by myself to a more desirable city and will ultimately need to be comfortable with solo game if I am going to swoop the fly local women. I also want to thank everyone involved with this forum, it really is amazing. I feel like I've already learned so much and am looking forward to the future.

RE: How I got over my fear of going out solo
I went out Fri~Sun as solo. I feel like I am already getting used to it.
I never needed a wing man even when I was going out with friends. I liked hanging out my friends because I can just chill with them till I see the target moving. Now this became the hardest part for me. I can't hit on chicks after chicks and I shouldn't stand around like a loser either. So I usually go to bathroom or smoke outside to take a break.

For me, talking to other stranger guys is harder for me. Usually they figure out I am there by myself and that's why I am trying to talk to them. Is there a good way to talk to guys?

I think I can go to this certain bar everyday with friends without looking weird. However, I don't want to be labeled as 'that guy who comes alone to hit on chicks' by going to the same bar every week. what would be the best way not to look like that?
