Wizard - I agree with you strongly. In conclusion, I think game is having the array of tools to be able to adapt to the situation. It's like basketball. You play full court fast paced Phoenix Suns tempo or you can drag it out in a half court mess like the Celtics or the Spurs. A true player has enough tools to go out in either type of offense and still put up all star numbers?

Does that make sense?

I used to do a bit of internet dating in London, if any of them ever suggested a dinner date as a first date, I would ditch them superfast.

My style was to take them to cocktail bars after work that had 2-4-1, so get them drunk quickly and relatively cheaply.

I never take girls to dinner unless they are my girlfriend and even then it's rare

This is my style as well

But I do fairly often order appetizers when I am with a girl at an upscale lounge or restaurant bar if we are there for more than a short time. I eat frequent, small high protein meals- sort of a paleo lite diet- and I don't want to miss a meal.
I do this in a way that makes it clear that I am ordering for me, not for her.
I say, " I need to get something to eat" and proceed to order a couple of plates of what I want. I never ask her, "Do you want something to eat?"
I am sharing my meal with her, not providing her with food as if she deserves it.
