RE: Forum "Lounge" - Everything goes!
I just got robbed by some street magician in hong kong, I'm sittin in the park killin time till my visa is ready an he comes up an starts talking to me about being some vodo guy, starts tellin me 2012 is gonna be my year, plays some magic trick where he hands me a peice of papers ask me to guess a number blah blah, later I open it an the number I guessed was on the paper... wants me to put money in his lil bag all I had on me was 2 hong kong 100s an a us 100... I give him the 2 hong kong bills then he wanted my us 100 I was like noway, he. Shows me another trick then is after my us 100 I still don't budge... he was good at his hussle I didn't mind giving him the hong kong cash. He did mention something about me having a spine pain an I have had a hurt back for the last 3 months, thought that was pretty cool....

I just sold it but I'm building my daughter a psykopath now and another one for myself. That thing is so over the top I was embarrassed to bring it to the track. Ti spokes, Chris king hubs etc. It cost about 4k to build that's why it sat in my office. The thing was so tits if you peddled two times it would roll for a mile. I'm building an Avent for myself soon..

el mech - When I come down there, I'll have to get some tips from you on bike building. I like rocking hybrids myself, I've lived in big cities all my life and the bike takes me away from the hustle and bustle of the rat race. In London, I saved 1000 pounds and swooped nuff lizards (just like those weed selling rastas) on the bike. Once I even chased after a bus while I was talking to some lizard. She got off at her stop and we continued talking and I got her number. In London, numbers are higher bet than over here in Tdot. Over here, a number means jack shyt.

We have a bike trail here that spans the whole county with bars and beaches the whole way.

I've been buying up all the oldschool expensive 10 speeds and selling them to hipsters. You would be shocked at what they pay for a Raliegh concourse or old Motobecane

82 Patterson. yes back in 82 we would spend 1k building bikes. Most of us were cutting lawns at about 4 dollars a piece with a push mower for the cash. The kids who's parents just bought them for them didn't stand a chance on the track. That was before video games guys! Sorry you missed it.
In my head I priced that bike out at about $1100 to build in 82. The rims are called pro class they were about 250 the holes are for weight. When they came out a guy rode his bike off the roof of his house and supposedly they didn't bend (pics in BMX action mag) after that kids were trying to ride off their roofs and getting fucked up.

All this bike talk brings back memories. Do you guys remember your first bike?

I was around 7 years old when I woke up christmas morning ran down the stairs in our apartment and found a Blue Shark with a huge red bow on the handlebars. It's one of my fondest childhood memories and is one of my favorite gifts ever.

I can't find the exact bike. Sad

RE: Forum "Lounge" - Everything goes!
I had one of these as a kid. (Not a pic of my own.) For those that don't recognize it, most here I would imagine, it's an Evel Kneivel bicycle with a plastic gas tank, number plate, etc.

Must be kinda rare as I had a helluva time finding a pic of the right one. There were a few variations made apparently but this is the one I had. Was badass back in the day.

Don't know what ever happened to it. Probably sold at a garage sale years ago. I do remember breaking the crank jumping it...

Sorry to derail the bike discussion..just a quick rant about dicks in the gym who leave weights on the bench.

Do they expect them magically fly off by themselves? Dicks.

I saw a personal trainer training their clients on the shrug machine below, calling it a deadlift. Wtf did you become a personal trainer numbnuts?

Great bikes though El Mech, let's see more!

Personal trainers are a fucking joke for the most part. They don't know what the fuck they are doing, and IMO, are mostly there to help people who have money but are too insecure to train at a gym alone. Having a trainer there gives them some sort of safety net to feel comfortable going to the gym and having a "buddy" the whole time.

Starting Strength book + handful of sessions with a LEGIT strength coach to help with form and you will never have the need for a trainer again.

Wow, I've never realized that there are actually people like that. I can imagine having a PT if you're a celeb or CEO that has to have every minute of your day planned but for the average person I always figured PTs were for the people that really didn't want to go to the gym.

Hey, that quote is not mine, I didn't write that! I've never been to Portugal!

Haha, I actually kinda look like the bald guy that is next to p.diddy at 0:31 on this video, but I'm a bit stronger, no tattoos and my goatee isn't gay like that. Also, no earings.

Funny, I'm actually wearing sunglasses just like that nowadays.

Cool

Edit: I watched the whole video and I have to say... I definitely look better than that guy. Ha!

You see, all I know is ball, and good, and...

you would have gotten your money in less than 10 days if you e-filed with turbotax. I know I sound like a commercial, but it's true.
