I was minding my own business today when I was confronted by a clipboard charity mugger. You know, one of those girls that stands around approaching people on Union Square asking them to sign up for charity donations.

She approached me saying something like "Hi how are you?" - I smiled at her and said "No thank you" - she goes "Wait, you don't even know what this is about" - I slowed down, looked at her and said "I assume you're trying to invite me on a date" - that cracked her up. Rambled for a bit but no number. Will try this line again.

Caligula I'm going to have to try that one time, I had a similar thing going on today. I was getting lunch and there was a booth giving free condoms away (its pride week or whatever) and promoting safe sex. A girl in my class I've seen before but never talked to (sits on the other side of the class) was there. I go "sweet free condoms im stocking up" and stuff my pockets, like 20 condoms, I wasn't fucking around. She looks at me funny and tells me im the only person who seemed stoked on free condoms everyone else was too embarrassed to grab them. I ask her if she wants to grab lunch, she says she can't leave so I offer to pick her up something from where I'm getting my lunch. She gives me some cash, I grab food. INSTADATE. we had a good chat, people watched and the discussion was sexual. I got her number before my next class. Also the girls she was working with seemed really cock-hungry, if a girl is working at a booth giving out condoms you can place her with nurses in professions that are the horniest and game accordingly.

Next time I see a booth I'm going to try and game the girls there, they always look really bored and its usually volunteer stuff. I'm sure I could playfully chat with them and offer some of my time and get some more numbers.

Next time I'll slow down and just say "I'm not looking to date anyone right now" - since telling them "No" will probably make them back off more often than it gets you a follow up query.

Man, I just went back memory lane as I stumbled upon all of the episodes of He-Man on Netflix streaming. I used to watch that show when I was 9, and as I look at it as a full grown adult, I realize that they don't make them like they used to.

Each episode sends a message: a strong one about morals, courage, trust, integrity, honor, confidence, and a ton of other traits that I do not see young kids today get. The kids that are 9 today in 2012 will never become the strong adults of today because their foundations or pillars are not built the same.

Man was it fun to take 20 mins of my day and watch the first episode and remember a lot of it. I actually sat down and pretended at any minute my mom would walk through the door and punish me because I was suppose to be doing homework...

I downloaded Thundercats a while back. I was also looking for Cities of Gold (with Mendoza) as well as Dogtanian and the Three Musketeers. I used to love that shyt.

For the kids of today to be as sturdy as the older generation, they need to do a bid in one of the tougher third world countries.

When I was in secondary school, one cat around my area was getting out of hand. Playing truant, etc his mum sent him to Jamaica for three years. When he came back, he was as right as rain.

When you spend time in the third world (none of this resort bullshyt), it gives you perspective on how fortunate you are to live in the Western hemisphere.

I had exchanged a few messages with a chick on OKC.. she wasn't all that cute, but she enthusiastically began messaging me, so I entertained the idea for an easy bang. Got her number, exchanged a few text.. the usual. I had hardly even been interacting with her because she lives about 40 minutes away and isn't cute enough for such travel.

Then this morning I wake up to 20+ text messages from this chick. She had mentioned on her profile about having a kid who died, which I didn't think much of beyond the usual "holy shit, that sucks". Well, in these text messages she's spilling her soul about her ex-bf and how he killed her kid.

I ended up googling her name and find all these news articles explaining the story and shit. Pretty insane and it sounds like she's fucked.

...on a sidenote, she really misrepresented her photos and is apparently nearly deaf. Crazy.

They showed all of that 80-90's American cartoons back in 80-90's Philippines too, gave me great memories and toys!

I loved M.A.S.K. , Transformers, Thundercats, Dino Riders, Visionaries, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the Disney episodic cartoons (Darkwing Duck, Duck Tales, ChipNDale RR). One of the many great things about them was their catchy intro music priming you for the show, MASK pumps you up and DuckTales is just fun.

What you home-grown Americans didn't have (till years later--which was then diluted) was the episodic Japanese Tokusatsu (shows with live actors and special effects) and Anime shows that showed bad ass robots, heroes in metal/bionic/robotic suits or rides, bad ass intros, well-composed in-show music, and well-written poignant stories.

No I'm not talking about that Power Rangers crap, I'm talking about the original Japanese stuff that inspired the American ripoffs of these shows.

What's funny is that "posing" is an integral part of the repertoire of these heroes...but they're the fun versions of "poseurs" that we all know about.
