Facebook is for children. It was created by someone with NO friends in college.

I ONLY add girls I ALREADY banged. Gaming on FB doesn´t work in my experience. You end up as a slave of attention whores (AKA facehookers)

RE: Facebook page being a DLV
"So you’re saying that putting tv shows makes girls think that I spend my time watching tv all day?"

I also think this kind of advice is RIDICULOUS. Most people have favorite shows, so it's kind of silly for someone to somehow translate that into "this person does nothing but watch tv." People are busy, but they find time to take in what they like. That's why folks have DVR. Or rent flicks, or buy tv shows in DVD. So they can watch when they want.

Anyone can take any tidbit of info from your page, and because it's something they don't know about or like, use that to somehow make a judgment about you. So what. It's like right here on this board, when someone lifts a few words or a sentence out of the context of a larger post, reinterprets it literally, and crafts a response or criticism just for the sake of being argumentative. It can be self-serving and stupid. The flip side is someone could see the shows or bands that you're into, and think "hey, maybe I'll give that a look or listen." It can work either way, but we can't control how everyone else thinks or assure that everyone is going to process info the same way.

"The best kind of pride is that which compels a man to do his best when no one is watching."

RE: Facebook page being a DLV
@Timoteo.

I've seen you defend FB (with some valid points) a lot on this thread, but how about giving us anti-Facebook cats a walk through of how you efficiently use Facebook to bang a girl you just randomly met today for example? Walk us through a scenario from first encounter to breaking the bedpost all with Facebook as your tool. That would really be helpful.

The only time I got laid using Facebook as a tool (when I had a profile) is when a girl saw me posts on a friends wall, and she was just flat out horny to fuck me, but that rarely happened, maybe on 2 occasions total out of 5 years on Facebook. So the effort/reward ratio was not favorable.

If anything, Facebook was cripplin' my game! I began to see FB as the antichrist of game!

Anytime I let a girls see my Facebook, even though I had great albums of parties, family, hot female friends, and people greeting me - I would NEVER hear from the girl I just met again, maybe one greeting and - voila, she's gone! Then it turns into me chasing her vs the other way around.

So, I came to the conclusion that Facebook, though it may be a great tool if you use it strictly for marketing purposes (you own a bar/restaurant/cafe etc) is very effective and a MUST HAVE for any modern business owner.

However, girls will not be attracted to a profile page that is geared towards selling her something unless yo are selling womens shoes, accessories and make-up. You then limit the types of albums you display of your life if your intent is to have family view it (which limits what kinds of pictures you can put there to DHV girls) and that essentially kills any mystery/intrigue a woman was initially attracted to you for.

Now, a lot of players will tell me that's what privacy settings are for, but once someone is "your friend" it became a meticulous job to make sure my mom does not see me man-whoring with all of these women (she is a christian lady), but making sure the girl I just banged sees all other women worshiping me, and not letting my brother start fucking leeching women off me as he is also "my friend' on facebook, or other male buddies start e-mailing my female friends and sending her pics of me so that he can DHV himself. It became an unmanageable nightmare!

Remember that women are very much like cats, in that they want to play with something so long as its almost out of reach (cat-string theory), once they actually have it, they lose complete interest.

Being older, it utterly creeps me out what an alienated form of one-way communication is is, broadcasting this crap about yourself to whoever wants it. Your puppies. How cute, someone comments. And neither of you have talked to each other, it's all a display for someone else.

You are really going to insult me after giving Mixx the breakdown that he asked for? I would hardly stay I stalked the girl (unless you mean the girl who kept liking my comments, then I agree that was a bit odd and I apologize).

No, I don't mean to insult you, I think you made a good explanation of how it worked for you. What I meant was SHE was stalking YOU. You must be doing something right. I was dismissive about high school connections, because unless you stay or return to your home town, by 26 or 27 almost all those connections are usually gone; unless you become biz partners with a schoolmate or something like that; but I think it makes sense for you to exploit them while you can, it's just not a big long-term benefit from my perspective.

Definitely being older makes facebook look really plastic and phony. When I was young, there were almost no answering machines. Human communication took place in REAL TIME. You could FEEL someone was listening on the phone, or LOOKING YOU IN THE EYES if it was in person.

I think it's true to some degree the young can gain by adapting to how much machines are controlling your communication; all the other guys are doing it and you have to compete.

But even in the case of the above poster mentioning indoor plumbing,
there is always something lost when you let a machine do something for you. Some of the texture of life is lost.

I bet now that we don't go to outhouses we see fewer full moons in our lives.
It's just a little thing, worth the price to keep from freezing, right?

We'll just give up that little bit of texture to make things faster.

Each decade, another little thing, the answering machine, the cell, the facebook, someday the implants, eventually the fucking Matrix pod where you never even see the sky, but where "I just like being in that warm coccoon, why get cold and be out of contact with your friends?"

Except there's no Lawrence Fishburne to hold up a battery and tell you that's what you've become.

My apologizes. Wasn't sure which situation you were referring to. Facebook has definitely allowed me to keep connections I would have lost otherwise. My handful of closest friends are from high school and would have kept in touch with them anyways because they are like my brothers. However it has allowed me to keep up with people I would have normally lost contact with and hes led to some pretty good times with past friends when I am traveling in California.

It even allowed me to meet up with a friend from Freshmen year of college in Bangkok with his Chinese girlfriend. I am going to go party with him where he lives in Hong Kong for a few days before I fly back to Thailand.

Facebook has it's benefits, but it also has its drawbacks. Like checking it every 30 minutes on my phone. Think I am going to delete it from my phone because that is for sure my biggest time waster right now.

RE: Facebook page being a DLV
It's a communication tool.

It ranks behind phone (and probably equal to email at this point), but serves the same purpose – to set up meets.

IE, my barista just gave me her phone number through facebook because whenever I'm there to get coffee, she's always busy with other customers and coworkers. Not complicated. Didn't take any of my time at a computer, "gaming" through facebook, or posting dhv photos or other nonsense.

Any hot girl that is a friend of a friend, or a friend of my sisters (that I meet briefly in real life), I'll "friend" on FB. If they're single, I'll just drop a few messages and then get a # or a meet. Again, not complicated. You're just typing words into boxes, the same as any text message or email.

Rocket science, this isn't.

RE: Facebook page being a DLV
@MIXX...I DON'T USE FACEBOOK TO BANG CHICKS. I don't see it as an avenue to make myself more attractive to women. I do that on other sites. I thought I laid out how I use it. I thought other guys laid out how they got laid from it. I think if you only look at FB, or any site, in terms of how it can get you pussy, I'll repeat - I've never found Facebook to be particularly conducive to doing that. I don't use it like other sites, which are laid out specifically for you to flip through profiles. It's like we're talking in circles now. If you feel like time spent on the internet, or FB in particular, that doesn't lead to pussy is a waste of time, then I agree - FB isn't for you. I just don't understand the "anti" movement. I don't need to defend Facebook (Mr. Zuckerberg is doing quite fine...HA HA!), but I simply find some of the complaints about it, or the complaints of how OTHER people use it to be empty. If the concern is DHV to women OUTSIDE of women you already know, FB isn't helpful. And after all, YOU can control the access to whatever you put there. If the decisions as to what you put, and how it's going to play to others is too weighty, well...you decided it wasn't worth it.

You actually laid out some valuable ways to use FB. You also laid out a couple of instances where you got pussy from it without even trying, in essence supporting my point. You got that without chasing it. Someone happened onto something you wrote, and decided they wanted to know you. If you're disappointed you didn't get MORE pussy from it...well...it seems you never really tried to use it that way. If other guys broke out and equation for bangs per time spent, it might not look very appealing either. But from what I can see, FB is just a piece of the overall picture of how guys build a network of friends and acquaintences in conjunction with their usual off-line activities. Any bangs coming as a direct result of FB are bonuses. I just think some of us here see FB through a narrow prism, or state that it is, or should be for a particular limited purpose, and if I can't use it that way it's stupid and others should delete their profiles. And unless you're posting pics of you passed out drunk, with magic marker scrawls all over your face, your pics really can't hurt you. I think people are overthinking that aspect. And it's not just about displaying value or lack thereof to chicks, but EMPLOYERS scour the internet for negative things like that. So if someone is worried about THAT, I'd understand the concerns a little bit more. I've had an acquaintence that wanted me to remove a particular pic of her because she thought she was going to run for local office where she lives. It was a funny pic, but could be interpreted differently by someone that wasn't there. I had a pic of me drinking a beer, and I took that down. But normally, I scour pics I take and don't post publicly anything that could embarrass someone, and send those to them individually so THEY can decide what they want to do with them. You just have to be smart.

I also see some laying out doomsday scenarios as the result of technology. That "older" people don't get FB. Well, how old are we talking about? HA HA! Without a doubt, things like FB have changed the way we communicate. But do I see things headed towards us all becoming shut-ins that don't communicate face-to-face anymore? Of course not. Those kinds of exaggerations annoy me a bit. Folks are still out and about trying to get theirs in the same ways they always have. That's what we talk about here for the most part...getting out into the world as a whole and doing our thing. Networking sites have added another layer to that. The more introverted homebody now has a way to connect with the world also. Everyone in my circle is in their 30s and 40s. NONE of my guys, including me, are on FB to get ass. Many of them are either married or in relationships (and yes...they are FB Official...HA HA!) But we're on opposite coasts, so it's our way to communicate as if we're all in the same room. One of my boys is a music video editor, so he posts his latest project for us to see. Other guys are political types so they post and debate that. Others are sports nuts, so they post and debate that. Chicks post the shit they post. We're not of the demographic that uses it for dating, but we do use it for networking in the truest sense. Yes...we managed before cellphones, but now it seems we can't live without. Is that good or bad? It depends. To a certain extent we have to rely on technology - it hooks us. But to what extent is determined by the individual. You can turn off your phone or computer any time you want. I like how you use the fact that you DON'T Facebook to your advantage. BEAUTIFUL. It makes you stand out in a way that makes you somewhat unique. But does HAVING Facebook hurt you? No, because it's so common. Someone isn't going to judge you negatively for having something they have themselves. I know people that have Facebook, but when semi-strangers ask if they do, they say no, because they don't want to add every random person that they had a conversation with. They're controlling how they use it and who will have access. That's how I feel about any kind of technological advance - find out if it can be useful for your purposes. If it can't serve you in the way you want it to, opt out, or don't join in at all.

RE: Facebook page being a DLV
Okay guys I saw this thread and felt compelled to come on here and give my insight on the topic.

I used Facebook throughout highschool to get laid. In those days it was less intrusive than it is now, and being in highschool, it was fine for me to add girls from other schools in the area that I lived in, without looking like a fucking stalker. My friends and I would add cute girls and invite them to our parties (it didn't hurt that we threw some of the best parties in the city at this kid's parent's place downtown). I'd message her something like, "Me and some friends are throwing a party downtown at _____ Sat. night. You look like a fun girl. If you're down I can get you and some friends on the list." Yeah it was lame, risky and something I wouldn't do now, but at the time it worked out well.
That is the only scenario that ever worked for actually picking girls up on Facebook. Unless your a highschool kid that can offer underage girls the ability to party/get fucked up, don't even try.

As far as "gaming" girls on FB.
Absolutely.
Fucking.
NOT.

First there is the stigma of facebook "stalking." I know for a fact that bitches are the worst at this. However if you try to game a girl that you haven't already fucked on facebook (hitting her up for conversation, setting up a date) you will be walking a VERY.... VERY fine line.

It will never, ever work. When you game in the real world, you have complete control. Facebook takes all of the control out of your hands. FB gives women the upper hand as it displays their greatest value - physical appearance, in full force. The only way a man can counter this is by displaying HIS value (status or $$), on his facebook page. In my opinion, this is a loser's game. I see this all the time. It looks desperate as fuck and I think it hurts these guys more than it helps them.

If you HAVE to have a Facebook for whatever reason (I still think you could find a way to get rid of it), remember that less is more. Have everything private (DISABLE YOUR WALL - this is crucial), and only let people view your profile pictures. Do not show what bands you listen to, what movies you like, etc. Have NONE of that.

The less information a woman has on you, they less they know - the more she will IDEALIZE and come up a positive fantasy/perception of you. It's what they do, it's how their brain works (that is if she gets a good initial vibe from you).

Last august I deleted my FB in anticipation of a busy semester of classes. It was one of the best decisions of my life. I swear, girls that I had been previously friends with on FB were 10x more curious about my life and I could tell they were dying to find out what was new every time I saw them in person. It was fucking, unbelievable. New girls that I met and had been chilling w/ would eventually muster up the courage to ask me if I had FB and when I said I didn't would beg me to get back on it/make one.

As a side note, the excuse I always get from my closest friends who keep their facebook pages is this - they want to keep in touch with friends abroad/family. If you really want to keep in touch with somebody and have a REAL RELATIONSHIP with that person, you will call them (or skype them if you roll that way) or visit them.

Facebook promotes surface level, fake relationships and provides those in need of acceptance a means by which to expose their personal lives.

*EDIT^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^If you're not on facebook for ass, why the FUCK are you on facebook.

True, but keeping a popular Facebook account takes a LOT of time! A Facebook page that everyone would be interested in as Sky-walker described above is something that is not done in your lunch break, it is NON-STOP maintenance, updates and bullshit status updates!

Sorry, but I got way too much shit to do in my life to sit there and show my family, friends and 10000 ex bangs who I am fucking, where I am fucking them, and who is in my pipeline to fuck next!

Mixx

Due to my line of work in austere environments and lack of ready communications, facebook is a solid way for me to stay in contact with friends and family. Even if once a week I post something trivial on my wall they know I'm still alive. It works too for me as a networking tool for future contracts. It's a lot less conspicuous to hit someone up on FB, rather than an email, looking for a job. There's people in my friends list that I don't want to keep up with regularly, or can check at my leisure their status, instead of contacting them. It keeps me an unobtrusive social profile.

As for women. Facebook helps me keep the pot warm. When I go through country A and bang an old flame, it's because I've kept up with her on FB. Country A is a muslim country under Sharia law and getting laid in 5 days is next to impossible. It takes a minimum amount of time to post a pic on occasion to keep your page interesting.

Also, chicks will be found logged in on FB more than any other social site. I'll IM "ging dow, pang lo vow", and then log out. Shit drives them nuts trying to figure out what I'm saying.

So, for me, at least, FB has been a valuable tool. Here's some pointers:

1. Hide your friends list
2. Don't make your profile searchable to the public. That way you can play the mystery card when needed.
3. Hide your online status
4. Don't constantly post B.S....keep it light.
5. Mine girls pages for useful data for future bangs. Sometimes it works to stay in touch if your traveling and didn't get the time for a bang. If she isn't DTF, then unfriend her. It's a great feeling to boot a bitch off your page. It really pisses them off when they try to refriend and you ignore them.

RE: Facebook page being a DLV
Its new technology for us to figure out. Just like the pager, cell phone, email, and internet. We have to figure out how to properly use it to get new notches. Lets be honest, Facebook is not going anywhere and every teenage girl in America is probably checking her profile right now. We can use this tool to our advantage or we can choose not to use the tool at all.

If you get enough pussy without FB, then more power to you. But, if FB fits your personality and you have had success on it, keep experimenting, lets us know what works and what doesn't.

I really think this is new area of Game that has yet to be broken down to its core. "Facebook Game" is often uncharted territory. We need pioneers and trailblazers in this area.

In a few years, someone will write the book..."How to get laid using Facebook".

RE: Facebook page being a DLV
I pretty much need facebook. I would have missed out on lots of good things if I didn't have it. A couple weeks ago when I went on my trip, one of my closest friends who moved to NY (We don't talk a whole lot of the phone, maybe once every 2 months) saw I was headed to CO through my facebook, gave me a call and we met up that night in Denver. If he wouldn't have seen on my facebook that I was going, we would have never met up that night, I may not have even known he was in Aspen. I also picked up a ride from Denver to Aspen with some cute Brazilian girls because one of them messaged me and said she was flying in the same day I was from Brazil and driving to aspen the next morning. I just have too many friends in too many different places to not have a facebook.

Plus, not to mention how good it is for traveling and communicating with a bunch of people at once. I'm going to CO, post my status as "I need 50% passes, anyone got the hook-up?" Bam, instead of making 20 calls I figure it out with just that status.

Once you start worrying about what people think of your profile, and putting that much energy into it, it's already becoming a negative in your life.

This is a great point.

I have my personal facebook that I cut from 300 people down to 177 - real friends around the world that I can message anytime and get a hook up or info about a job, location, etc. I've found facebook really useful for staying in touch with people far away, and I've been able to travel and stay/meet with friends because of it.

I NEVER add girls I'm fucking to FB, unless they are actually real friends and they request me.

I will ocassionally try to find girls on there, esp. if I was drunk and don't remember what they looked like lol. This is actually a fun game because sometimes it's like waking up on Christmas morning, and sometimes it's like "oh fuck guess I'll delete that number..."

I use facebook on for friends, and girls I've already fucked.

I don't see it as a tool for picking up, unless you really have it developed, with tons of friends, pictures etc.

Especially if you're more passive, adding girls to facebook pre-sex creates a weird vibe. It really ruins a pickup for me, but maybe not for guys who have some rockstar profile.

Exactly. Pre-bang im more careful with my info than James Bond. Why would a girl look at my facebook pre-bang. If she is, I am headed to the friend zone anyways. So fuck it.

God'll prolly have me on some real strict shit

RE: Facebook page being a DLV
Can I have a facebook fan page and not a facebook account? I want to delete my account. However, I still want to use the network for marketing my products. If I do this with a Facebook account, it would be under my alias and not my birth name (which is what I have on my present account).

On topic, I don't like facebook at all anymore. I prefer Twitter (where people follow you), reddit, Skype (where you can talk to people face to face)and linked in. Facebook is too invasive. Their issues with privacy over the past few months was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. There are other alternatives to Facebook.
