I'm qualified for Mensa based on my lsat score. I believe to get into mensa your equated IQ has to be over 132. Doesn't mean much. What I think is essential is that you focus on things that will make you successful.

Example 1: Guy 1 has a 140 IQ
-Goes to university and studies Philosophy or Art History. Goes on to be a professor at a semi-recognized school.

Example 2: Guy 2 has a 110 IQ
-Goes to Business school studies economics and finance and is now in the push to become the next VP.

The key is seeing the options available and picking the best one. IQ has nothing to do with that.

IQ can get you far in life if there is an environment that promotes high IQ.However medium IQ people tend to make rules that are beneficial for them and since they are the majority they usually prevail.But in some cases they need the high IQ people let's say to get the shit done or to pull the snake out of its hole to use an expression.In these cases the society is ready to reward the high IQ.

I find it hard to have intelligent conversations with 95% of women, and when you do it doesn't work in your favor most the time. If you are looking for LTR and respect an intelligent women, then cool, look for that and feel free to have intelligent convo, but if you're looking just to bang, fuck it. Most women just aren't very intelligent.

Like a couple others have said in relating their experiences, I can come across as weird to some broads, so I usually try and Don Draper it and not say much as I'm way too logical.

Actually, most people annoy me because I think too logically and I can't believe they can't see or understand the obvious.

Note-I'm not big on social circle. Kinda wish I was but it is what it is.

Edit-I just went back and read Eljefe's posts and the similarities are amazing, right down to the critical father and being extremely judgmental. Essentially, while reading it, I felt like I was reading my story, except I'm not apt to spell out so much any more. A carryover from my being more brooding and quiet I guess As I've learned the more I talk the more likely I am to alienate most people.

Fools view smarts as fools because they possess useless tools and can be easily taken advantage of.If they are not the latter they tend to distrust smarts and think of them as vicious.So it is very difficult to win against the fools.The power of foolishness is unbeatable.In some jobs higher than average IQ can be destructive.
As for women pick up IQ pays off if you use it to analyze game,calibrate quickly or learn new languages.However society can make you pay a large price for that.They will accept the fool who tries pick up(which seems innocent) but they will dislike the smartass who relies on techniques,canned material and spends his brain power on picking up women to fuck instead of working for the common good.So in some cases the reaction of society towards smartness used for the ''wrong purposes'' can be so severe that intelligence loses any advantage since the counterbalance from society is bigger.
For example in some fields telling that you know Russian can damage your chances to get a job since you are supposed to have learned Russian by contact with whores.It will also raise suspicions that instead of working hard you spent your time learning Russian and other languages in order to fuck so you are not reliable.A more limited person will be prefered.

eljefe is a classic awkward smart kid. no need to dress it up - i have the a very similar life story, even down to the disagreeable father (he's a great guy in some ways but really quite dysfunctional, and unlike me very charismatic when he makes an effort).

the hardest thing for me is overcoming my own negative expectations of how other people (not just women) judge me. you get used to being that nerdy guy and staying closed off from other people. like eljefe, it definitely hurt me staying in the same school for my entire secondary education.

also, i don't think there's much of a gender divide when it comes to interest in intellectual subjects. most people aren't interested, but i guess women expect more than guys to be entertained (if you're trying to hit to them).

My experience is the dumber the better. Even with supposedly "smart" broads.

Actually, smart broads annoy me because they are generally not as smart as they think they are.

A problem I occasionally have is being socially awkward as I try to tone down the logic. I see things in a different way from most and I have to catch myself before saying some things in certain company, which makes me a little disjointed at times.

Basically, I'm a geek that doesn't want to be a geek.

Told a therapist that once and they were speechless. lol

One of the first things I learned in game was to not make identity meaning out of external events. If people judge you, that is their prerogative. Not yours. It's their problem if they view you negatively, not yours.

There is a natural inclination to internalize criticism from others and make it ABOUT you, and WHO you are. I was about 18-19 when I finally got it through my head that wasn't the case.

This way of thinking also helped me turned the tables in many situations. Before, awkwardness - a failure to build rapport - would be BAD social politics because it would show me to be socially inferior in some way, and not encourage others to open up to you. I realized that the underlying assumption that it was I who was awkward was only a subjective opinion from a person whose opinion shouldn't matter to me.

Now my assumption is that I automatically ASSUME rapport, and if they fail to pick up on it, it is THEY who are out of sync, their reality and social skills are inferior. My reality becomes the stronger, and they automatically comply with that. I might be going too fast for them to follow my line of thinking or get my jokes, and then I tease them for it. In sub-concious talk, I convince them I am a high-status individual with powerful boundaries and plenty of self-esteem.

Couple it with confident body-language and voice tone, and it becomes very charismatic.

But I know I don't enjoy to smart Girls that much especially if there more in there head than in there buddy. What I want is Fun so I don't need a Girl discussing Politics with me. So I am fine if a Girls is more fit than Intellectual Smart.

In my Opinionthe IQ test ooverratede you can't maessure some important skills using it.

What does it help to have a High IQ if you're broke and unhappy and out of shape and don't have the emotional strenght to hange you're circumstances?

Practical Intelligence, getting things down creating an fulfilling Life and having emotional balance are much more important at least in my Book.
If i meet a girl who has that I wouldn't care about the IQ I would be happy to have met her.

I don't know why some of you guys who are above 120+ IQ are saying you would trade some points just so you can be more successful with women! You have the brain capacity to do great things!

I mean, I was doing great until I got to question 30, then I had to spend some time on the rest of the questions, even guessing on some. I scored 104 on my first try, I was hung over at the time so I decided to do it again just now with my head all cleared up.



Seeing that this is the second time that I took the test, I am going to be honest with myself and admit that my IQ is lower than 112. Maybe I should take another IQ test...

It's just looking back at all the dumb shit I have done makes me cringe sometimes. I work as a line cook, and I have noticed how intelligent people just pick up on things much quicker despite never working in a kitchen before and move up the ladder a lot faster. You can tell that their brain functions quicker just by talking to them, and they never keep on asking you the same questions over and over. I have been working part time (weekends) while most of them were working full time, but I believe that if I did work full time that I still would have moved up the the same rate as I did (slowly). For me, it just seems like some stuff doesn't register right at the moment, and I tend to ask the same questions over and over sometimes. When I look back I just wonder how I could have been so thick.

There are a lot of retards who are attractive to the opposite sex but they are also getting themselves injured in stupid ways, getting in trouble with the law, and working at a dull job (or not working at all).

This may not mean much coming from a guy of an average IQ but, you guys should be proud that your brain is capable of great things.

If I had a choice between having 20 women and 20 IQ points for a better brain, I would take the IQ points any day.
