I've worked about 8 months p/t at a place that sees interns (usually 7s or 8s) roll in and roll out all day and I wouldn't mind banging a few.

Basically I get about 15 minutes of limited facetime with a chick. Then I get about 5 minutes of actual time where I can talk. Basic touching is part of the job description, as is knowing if they're lying about numbers & if they're married. On the down side, it's not much time; on the plus side it's a great for perfecting opening. Usually I can get in 5 minutes solid rapport & get them interested with about a ~95% success rate.

I've not gone for numbers yet, had one or two volunteered, and I can't really escalate. Any advice?

Try finding common ground then offering to talk about outside of work

A line that's worked for me in the past (granted its a little lame) is "I really want to see the new *insert movie* but none of friends want to go" and see how she takes that. If she says something like "yeah that looks good" or "Me too!" then ask her to go with. Movie dates suck, but in this situation it gets you more face time outside of work. Go to a 5-6pm showing, movie ends around 7-8 then jump to drinks immediately after.
