I think I get suckered by these types because I always fall for the hard luck story they open with about how Uncle Willy diddled them. The shit with the gifts really reminded me of a similar situation:

This is why you have to extract as much info from her as possible prior to getting involved. There are some pinpointed questions that would definitely aid in getting that info to come out. It's all in the delivery .

Another important reason to identify these types of whores , fuck them , and then run like you're on MLK boulevard after the deed is done, is the repercussions that usually follows once the bitch can no longer hide the monster. I don't know how this one slipped thru the cracks, but never get involved with a woman who has kids.These whores will never put you in front of their kids. You will be the third wheel with no end in site. You will end up supporting the bastard, getting caught in the middle of arguments/ decisions, and, you will at some point realize you have no control over the bastards. Yup! even with fuck buddies. You have to ditch them before they get to close or when they stop taking no for an answer. It's ok though just cut her off for a couple months then you can hit it again until she re-groups. After that you will have to ditch her again more frequently until you have to cut all ties.
