Ok, that was a bit harsh. let me refrase that. Indians are the most pushy people in the world. They just wont leave you alone in touristic areas. even if you stay in the same place for a while, they push every single day, i dont want suits or rolex's.

I'd first like to preface, my statements on India, by saying I love the historic sites in India. It is a tremendous and diverse country, that I would love to see more of.
-
I second your dislike for Indians there. What I disliked is the way Indians looked at tourists as inferior people to scam. Not to make a good business deal with, but rather to scam. Sell you something that is broken, or will break the second it leaves the shop. They think that being “cunning” in business is good. This is nothing more than making money at the expense of others. This is considered good!

Yeah, that was really surprising to me. As a whole Brazilians have been some of the nicest people I've met. I don't know many American families that would just let a friend move in and feed them 3 meals a day and clean their rooms for free as the families I stayed in Brazil with did. And it was multiple places and multiple unrelated families. It just seemed like the Brazilian way. They wouldn't even take money from me when I offered. People in general on the streets and at the stores were nice as well, minus some of the uneducated homeless who don't even know better.

The rudest people I've met, coming form foreigners I've met in the states alone is probably gonna go:

Haitians (Especially the cab drivers, I deal with them every day!)
French
Russian
Israeli

Just about every person I've met from montreal in the states has been nice. I have tons of people come into my work from montreal every week. Canadians in general seem to be real nice people.

And I will also agree that people from Miami in general tend to be extremely rude.

I also don't see where people are coming from with the German and Dutch. They may be a bit boring at times, but never rude. Even though they are terrible at tipping, I don't mind getting german or dutch people at work. They are usually very friendly. I think there is a law in any of the Germanic language countries where you are only allowed to tip $2 for anything in the US. 85% of the time I get anyone from Germany, Austria, Netherlands, German Swiss, Sweedish, any other Germanic language country, I end up with $2, no matter how good my service.

Yeah. I spent a lot of time in Montreal this year and it is my favorite pickup city in the world. I didn't find the people rude at all, quite the contrary. North Americans are generally significantly warmer than Europeans in my view. I found Parisians to be the most rude of any city I've been to. Madrilenos and, to a lesser extent, Portenos, are pretty smug, though whether that's rude is up for debate.

I agree with you a 100% about the Aussies in Kuta in Bali. They suck. I had the same experience. The bars there were ruined by them. You couldn’t go in there without them knocking into you or knocking your beer out of your hand. Loud, drunk , and obnoxious, like a mosh pit with a bunch of 6’5’’ 300 pound guys. After a few minutes in there we left and sat outside and watched each pair of girls go in and bet on how many minutes they would last. The two white girls lasted in there less than 2 minutes. The two Japanese girls went in and as predicted they lasted about 1 minute. Australia also has their share of some BIG UGLY girls. I’m not saying all Australians are obnoxious loud drunks or that all of their girls are butt arsed ugly, but a lot are! tard

In fact, I have a good friend from Perth, Australia, that I party with when I travel. He doesn’t sound like a typical Aussie, because Perth (which is like Alaska and Hawaii are to the USA) is way away from the East. He likes to get drunk and bang babes, instead of banging heads with his buddies or strangers!

P.S. If Australia and New Zealand do not have the ugliest white girls in the world, I'd like to know where does. Any ideas?

Someone mentioned Bali here. Can't agree with that. Only the Australians are rude there but not the Balinesians. Sure, you get bothered with "great" deals (transport? transport?) but that's the same in the whole region.

Maybe Brussels deserves a mentioning here.

Berliners have always been super cool to me. And Belgium? People there are incredibly nice.

My experience was the opposite in Bali. The Aussies were all fun and cool even if a bunch of drunk idiots, and the locals were total dicks. I had multiple local guys try to start fights with me when I got pissed off that they were scamming me. Had a bartender try to rob me. Had taxi drivers purposely take me to the wrong place so they could charge me more. Had a guy sell me a boat ticket for a trip that didn't exist. Seriously, fuck the Balinese man. Fuck them.

Don't share that experience either, i was 3 weeks in Kuta/Bali. I mostly got irritated by the Aussies being drunk, loud and dancing like wild monkeys. I heard it was England. Although presumably they come from the same basic stock, at least the ones down under have the benefit of sunshine to improve their complexions. I assume their dental hygiene is a bit better as well...........

As an Aussie (Melbourne) let me put it this way. I can spot the American and British foreign women in the city a mile away (they weren't kidding when they said the later have bad teeth), poorly dressed, pale, noticeably fatter and less attractive faces.

The local girls are better than their anglo-phone counterparts as far as I've seen. By the same token, the German, Dutch and Swedish foreigners also stand out as way hotter then the local girls.

In short, Aussie girls (at least in Melbourne & Sydney) fit in between the rest of the anglopshere and continental Europeans.

Yup. You really have to get used to the northeast attitude, then they're great people. We have a saying in Boston: "Most people say 'Have a nice day, but they really mean 'go fuck yourself.' In Boston we say 'go fuck yourself' and really mean 'have a nice day.'"

People keep it real in the northeast. I love it.

New Yorkers are busy which is why they may initially come off as cold ...but there's no actual hostility unlike many other countries I've been to.

I actually thought Parisians were quite nice when I was there in '10.

Israelis are the rudest I think I've encountered in one place. I wasn't too thrilled by the people in Italy, either, but they were a distant second. South Floridians are pretty rude, too, and the passive-aggression often found in the SF Bay Area isn't to my liking.

What GMAC said, People in DC aren't rude. NYC some of the blacks chicks were rude as hell lol.
Its one thing to be real, but its another to be asshat for no reason.

Israelis seemed nice and down to earth. Germans too. Don't think i've met a french person yet. But then again, i haven't been outside the US before.

RE: City/Country with the rudest people.
Country: Not surprisingly, France. This is not shyness or introversion as you might encounter in Scandinavia. It's more their obsession with their zone of "personal privacy" and the reflexive fronting that's directed at strangers who would invade this zone. Also, the French invented smugness; and the remarkably uniform (and effective) school system they've had there more or less since the French Revolution results in a country where "everyone's an intellectual" -- especially the men. (I should mention that France actually comes second to the good ol' USA for rudeness. Here, the problem is that many people are utterly stressed-out by the ridiculous pace and rigors of American life, and lots of people tend to take this stress out on others.)

City: The single rudest city I've encountered anywhere was Manchester, UK. In London, my American accent tends to work to my advantage, especially with girls in clubs. In Northern England, I found just the opposite to be true. People stare blankly as if I were an alien and pretend not to understand me. It's a very harsh, insular culture up there.

Haven't been to Israel, have only dealt with them in business here in the US. And yes, the Israelis I've known have been BY FAR the rudest and most vulgar people I've ever encountered, anywhere.

I had an Israeli (Sephardic) business associate who was basically a real estate scam artist (who went missing from Australia and was wanted there for scamming a bunch of people on a condo development and then abandoning it, and absconding from Australia). I was in his office in LA when he was on the phone doing a real estate deal with some people in Atlanta, during the mid-2000s securitized mortgage boom. He had to speak with a loan officer, and she unfortunately happened to be black. Apparently he was having a hard time understanding her and called her "you fucking monkey" and hung up. And this was mild behavior for this guy, but typical for him and his Israeli associates.

Nothing like Istanbul (in the touristic areas, other places are much better and you can find a lot of friendly and cool people), there workers and jobless people are always bothering tourists to scam them or get some money in countless ways.
Their standard approach is, try imagine the conversation with a strong turkish accent:
"My friend, my friend, where are you from?"
"My friend, I know a very good place..."
"Hey, want to meet girls tonight? / want to come to a nice club?"
My advice is to never trust this people, unless you want to drop them some dozens and in some cases hundreds of Turkish Lira.

Youngstown Ohio. The blacks there have this attitude toward anyone white. I have a good friend who is black and he jokes about it all the time. Black people get away with blatant racicism like no other race in the world. Like somehow I'm resposible for slavery.
