im 19 about to turn 20

i cant do anything without them questioning me,
my mom cooks for me, washes my clothes, cleans my room,
i dont really have private space at my house (no doors)
she says i cant do anything by myself because im stupid but
really inside shes just afraid of me becoming a man for myself..

its like i cant even think for myself, to be honest she turned me into a mommas boy, the first time i found out how caught up i was, was when she left on vacation and left the house all for myself for two weeks, in those two weeks i matured more than i have this whole year, i became more social and started hanging out with friends and during those two weeks i had a little fling with a girl and became a somewhat of a player going after more pussy even when my dick was still warm..

when she came back i found out how she was indirectly related to my low sex life somehow, she fills me up with guilt for being the slightest bad, she commands me, she gives me an unrealistic view of women that they are all marriage material when they are not

after realizing her influence my life went into turnmoil
i tryed to run away but i live in an expensive city in the bay and i wouldnt live in a park bench just because im pussy hungry

im also dependend on my dad's work for money
and i never truly never had a real job

the moral of the story is how i can become independent and think for myself because thats the only way ill ever get pussy in my opinion

Move out. That's the end of it. Start by looking for your own job and not a job with your family. You don't have to give them a reason, they'll still love you. It might be the wake up call they need to start treating you like a grown man. You got to start acting like one to be treated like one. You'll still be in the bay area so despite the high drama you'll get, they know they can still see you easily.

Save up for a bicycle, live maximum 4 miles from wherever you find a job (east bay is cheaper than west bay) and if your family wants you to visit, they can come pick you up in their car. I would suggest trying to find room mates in your age category, it will probably do your social life good. Rent can be $600/month, which is manageable, even if you have no savings.

Worst that can happen is that you move back in with your parents, who probably would love to have you back even if they give you a ton of bullshit when you do move out (I'm guessing middle eastern, south asian, east asian or jewish?).

Learn a marketable skill in demand, get trained for it in the cheapest way you can and go for it. You live in the bay, teach yourself software, make a few iphone/android apps, post them on the store, spam your resumes, they're hurting for developers and mobile is hot.

You have never had a job. You have no college degree. You have no money.

How the hell are you going to make it alone?

Do you know how fierce the job market is right now? I doublt you're going to get anything that's barely above minimum wage, and if you're making that type of money, you'll barely have enough to just pay rent.

You are in a good situation believe it or not. You don't have to pay rent. You don't have to worry about power, food, clothes, etc. Basically, you have a golden opportunity to work for a while and save up some really good money. Make money while you're still living with your parents.

Go back to J/C (its cheap) or get a job first. It'll give you an excuse to get out of the house. So when your mom asks where youre going, you can say school or work regardless if its true or not. Your mom will gradually get use to the idea that your not around, so when you do eventually leave, it'll be an easier transition.

I'm 20 and still live with my parents at the moment, but that's because we made a deal that they would pay for my college as long as I stayed home and didn't move out till I graduated. It's a pretty good deal I think. Blurb is right, it's hard to get a job with no degree and no job experience. Like others said you could move out, the worst thing that could happen is that you have to go back to your parents, but it would likely be a waste of time.

as it is, you can either: try to get a job and start saving up money, or see if you can go back to college and actually work this time so as not to drop out. Honestly either is okay for you right now.

Finally about your overbearing mother: don't let her mother you. What are you doing these days, sitting around the house with nothing to do? You don't go to college nor do you have a job. Start cooking for yourself, washing your own clothes, and cleaning your own room. The more you let her do for you, the more she will treat you like a child. This is the single easiest step you can take into being independent and thinking for yourself. If you can't do this, you won't ever be able to live on your own. And it's not like you can't pick up chicks while living with your parents. Just don't bring them home.

When I was 19 or 20 and short on life experience I did two things; One, I got back into school. I knew a degree wouldn't make me any smarter but hey, college is where all the girls are. Second, I got a job (valet) at a very busy nightclub where I would be working some nights until 3-4am. I got to meet some very interesting people to say the least. I made some friends, and I met some girls. I also made some good money, but I worked my ass of for it. You are not expected to have it all figured out a 20 years old. But take some steps to be more independent and get some experience outside of your home enviornment. Your parents may not like it, they want you to stay close to home and play it safe. But you have to do it.

I tell women I know that they aren't doing their sons any favors by doing shit for them - by not teaching them how to wash and iron their clothes, by not teaching them how to clean (especially the bathroom), and by not learning some basic cooking skills. They're sending helpless men out into the world, who need to latch onto a chick for survival. You shouldn't be hearing "Welcome to McDonald's, can I help you?" three times a day. It's unhealthy and expensive. Your place shouldn't look like a crackhouse and smell of dirty clothes.

I would get focused and get back in school. Get some form of degree, or better yet, the trade school route might be better - something that can lead directly from learning/training to a job. Work for a bit, then find that roommate and move out.

Active Duty is the quickest way to change your life, though if you're reluctant to do the full leap, Reserve/NG are very under-appreciated in terms of vocational training (healthcare, IT, heavy construction equipment, intelligence.) A few smart NG/Reserves arrange it where they get their initial training/certifications, then go straight into the civilian side; unemployed scrub to debt-free independent upper middle-class in under six months. It's hard to find that kind of path anywhere else short of nepotism.

Just keep an eye out of jobs that cannot be out-sourced. If they can get a hardworking Pakistani to do you job for $300 a month, they will. For this reason, don't hedge your bets on white-collar "college" jobs too much. Those opportunities will probably be gone by the time you finish your degree.

That's what I did, quit high school and joined the navy when I was 17, I traveled to more places before I was 20 than most people will see in their life. My niece just joined, got to have a high scool diploma now.

That's what I did, quit high school and joined the navy when I was 17, I traveled to more places before I was 20 than most people will see in their life. My niece just joined, got to have a high scool diploma now.

The Marines got me out of roosterpoop U.S.A. and into Socal for two years. I learned A LOT about wimminz out here. Afterwards I was stationed in Okinawa, aka. "The Rock". We used to jump med flights to Tokyo on long weekends and hunt down tail. I spent some time on float and saw a total of about 10 countries by the age of 22. I learned and saw a lot in those 4 years, and wouldn't trade it for the world.
