After seeing that commercial, wow, just wow. Well, there is always Barbasol (and Dollar Shave Club, and other non Proctor and Gamble brands).

Also, I am definitely sure there are alot of beta male soy boys who are proud to say that their wives sons' enjoyed the commercial.

I'm gonna come off as a total suburban stay at home mom here but I have many P&G products in my home, but I've never paid for them.

How you ask?

Extreme Couponing

P&G is one of the biggest distributor of manufacturer coupons, stack coupons found online, in store, in junk mail in combination with sales (price matching), mail in rebates, store loyalty programs, a premium CC that provides 4% cb (higher if churning promo rates) at grocers/related stores and cashback apps.

I started doing this as a way to deal with a degenerate gambling problem, I often end up with way too much for a bachelor to have and end up giving extras to family members, donating to foodbanks/charities and selling extra to friends/coworkers for pennies on the dollar and even local small business corner stores (have friends with shady fencing contacts)

Not exactly "boycotting" but I'm costing them (P&G) money while making money for myself (average $500-1000/month)

And while we are talking about positive examples amid IKEA being mentioned before here is one ad that cracked me up:

Not only was it well-made and funny, the makers did also a little side-ad for IKEA so that it would not have surprised me if the other company paid part of the KITKAT commercial.

Note also that the makers resisted the social justice urge of race-swapping characters in medieval Europe. Overall good job showing us that commercials are despite it's mercurial nature part and parcel of the creative output of a given civilization. When it turns into pure propaganda, then it loses it's luster just as the Marxist propaganda did.

Well done lads. Good natured fun that anyone can laugh at - that is what comedy was all about before the Social Justice shitheads ruined it all.

Agree

That's a good point. If you watch TV, it seems like there's a gay guy in nearly every show. It's of course possible that they're drawn to media (like hairdressing), but it makes it seem a lot more prevalent than it is.

That’s nothing(about gays on tv), if you check out Broadway shows, especially musicals they are wall to wall faggot for the most part. Granted some if them are great actors and singers and musicians. But the entertainment field is extremely gay

Broadway musicals are excusable for a simple reason: most of massive core demographics of musicals are gay men! They are massively over-represented in terms of both audience as well as cast. They could survive completely without heterosexual men going there at all - women and gays would be enough - at best the men their women tag along.

Most other fields of entertainment are nowhere near as saturated with gay men.

The biggest joke is now when video game and Star Wars brand owners try to cater to women and woke men as their new "core demographic" - that's akin to changing Broadway musicals and now doing only pieces named Rambo, The Donald God Emperor or Mortal Kombat - the Musical (with real-life combat experts). Sure - some of us might watch it, but this is not our beer.

I tried the dual dorco razors and they are garbage. I get my face bloodied every time I use them. I still have a years supply of Gillette mach 3 blades but want to find a better less cucked alternative.

Here are 5 straight razors, have any of you tried them out?

https://groomandstyle.com/art-of-shaving...s-for-men/

https://www.amazon.com/Bizmark-Straight-...529&sr=8-1

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0060Q...uage=en_US

https://www.amazon.com/THIERS-ISSARD-Son...ight+razor

https://www.amazon.com/Bison-Sprecher-Si...gands20-20

http://ezraarthur.com/products/straight_razor/

This one is apparently 900 dollars. That is a bit nuts, but would like to hear from anyone who uses it. I don't mind spending 100 to 200 usd on a quality razor that I will use for the rest of my life.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00286...d903034e9&

We should be encouraging some sort of alternative to gillette. I've been using their mach 3 razors for over a decade and love them, they are great quality, great shave and no blood. But I can't support their absolute cucking.

@eradicator

I own a Dovo straight razor. Straight razor shaving is tough. It takes like 3 months of practice generally. Also, the razor should be honed otherwise you just rip up your face. I put it down after a few tries and will resume once I get the razor sharpened.

I currently use a double edge safety razor. I was using Astra blades (owned by P&G) but their ass is boycotted now. My new blades will be Feather - a Japanese company. Blades are sharp as hell and a little expensive but I’m sure to find deals online.

I decided to go old-school. I am using a Philips electric shaver, but you get better results with a blade:

RE: Gillette releases new toxic masculinity commercial: "The Best Men Can Be"
I shave with a Gillette Fatboy (used off of eBay from the 1940s) and usually Astra blades. I can adjust very easily from 1 to 9 - I use 1 or 2 on my neck, 9 for my cheeks/jaw, and 7 for my goatee area. Cutting yourself happens, but it's pretty forgiving if you use a good preshave, brush, and soap.

I got a used straight from a shaving forum around 2010 but gave it to my retired father when I had no time to learn to use it. Now he wants to give me a tutorial on how to use it (he's learned to strop it lately, too).

I should take him up on that...it'll be a good worst-case-scenario skill to have.

At my usual supermarket, they literally do not carry any brands for cartridges other than Gillette. There are a couple of white label "mach3 compatible" razors but no cartridge packs (and the white label might be P&G anyway).

I saw a recommendation for Harry's
https://www.harrys.com/en/us/shop/shave

But it looks like they only have one option for blade cartridges.

I might have to go with schtick hydro 3
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Schick-Hydro-...mDEALw_wcB

It’s similar to the Mach 3

I’m worried about getting one of those straight razors and turning my face into a bloody mess

I was reading that Harry’s, Dollar shave, and shick have all done their own SJW BS, but they promptly pulled their stuff upon seeing that people weren’t too impressed by Gillette.

This is normal for the first month. The trick is to do it very gently with the blade angle almost flush to your face.

Mistake I made the first time using a straight razor was taking multiple passes. Also my razor wasn’t as sharp as it could have been.

Pre-shave oil, if you have it, also helps it to glide over.

Agreed with CaptainChsrdonay about blade angle. Use short strokes and rince blade often.

This is getting my psyched to try straight again. I’ll do it on a weekend when I have luxury of time.

Straight razors seem like a lot of work and maintenance, maybe it's a great tool for the weekend, but not for a commuter who has to get up early and get to work every weekday.

A safety razor is basically a straight razor with an added safety piece on top (ok and a different handle but that's not very relevant), not sure what you expect then ?
It will present the same challenge (preparation, angle, pressure, sharpness), but with zero safety.

Mastering a safety razor doesn't take long, unless something is wrong with your setup.
And once you mastered this going to a straight razor does not change much, so that's a valid path imho.
However if you failed with a safety razor a straight one will not help you.

Unless your safety razor was really a crappy model (which google seems to suggest) and you move to at least a middle of the range straight razor of course.
But even then, you're not taking the easiest path, at all.

Not saying it can't be done though Smile
I once shaved with a straight tanto, it's possible - now whether it's desirable is a different question ..
