^That's just something butthurt people say when something they like gets derided by others.

See? Two can play this game.

And for the record, I never liked Johnny Walker years before this advertisement came out.

Does that blow your mind?

What will your dismissal be when a booze variety you genuinely do like goes woke?

It's sort of like in the #MeToo thread. As long as #MeToo burns betas with no game or the left eats its own, all is well. But #MeToo is hardly limited to that, is it? It's a "first they came for X, then they came for Y" slippery-slope problem.

Opposition to this should be based on principle and not just narrow self-interest.

I don't want to trigger anyone, but I don't like responses like this and I'll tell you why:

You know that famous scene in The Jerk where he's getting divorced and he's moving out and picking a small list of stuff he wants to hold onto, most importantly, the paddle-ball, all the way saying (unconvincingly) how he doesn't need this and doesn't need that?

When people say "I though X was shit anyway", that's what it is. It's a defense-mechanism as their world crumbles beneath their feet.

It's worth a shot, but I am not convinced that changing your buying habits and boycotting will cause business to give up its woke social-engineering and pandering behaviors. If enough of them do it you're just not going to be able to keep track of all the freakin' blacklists, especially when these companies are part of conglomerates like Gillette is.

Either we're living through a short-term fad or a generational shift. If it's the latter, then there's really not enough pushback that can be applied to stop it. The next generation (regardless of whatever epithets we hang on them) will outlive us and the world will have changed.

I wasn't saying that because of Jane Walker, I always thought it tasted terrible. Red Label being disgusting.

Gillette is currently the worlds #1 spoken about brand.

< Guys - some here have grown up on high-level single malt. Tasting the cheapest Johnny Walker is a major step down and attacks the taste buds. There are good ones out there - even blended ones. Usually there are still some choices left especially when you pick a scotch bar. Of course - all you gotta do then is to sift through the data on what small brand hasn't been already bought up by a conglomerate you don't like.

Ultimately huge conglomerates won't bee affected too much by a boycott of even a few million shitlords. Still - no reason to give someone that hates you cash.

Companies founded by shitlords like IKEA are a good example - sure - they give some lip-service to the globohomos, they have some commercials which are filled with a few agenda points, but most of the time they stay clear of everything. The foundations they give to are also no globohomos, but usually only the owners diversifying their portfolio. There are other such families who are just doing business and really not wanting to do much evil. And they really mean it, while companies like Google are evil.

Vote with your dollar every day. It works. Just as staying true to your convictions works too at times. You only stay silent or fake normie when your job or an important relationship is endangered. Otherwise you can blast away.

Isn't IKEA well known for massive tax evasion ?

About johnny walker - seriously ?
I thought at least some people here went to the FSU, in which case you could not ignore what alcohol does to people.

Also don't we have a civilization to reclaim/rebuild ?
Who has time to get drunk ?

What is the next topic now, which cigar tastes best ?
Careful though, davidoff sounds pretty jewish to my ears ..

Oh, right, stop thinking in black and white.

RE: Gillette releases new toxic masculinity commercial: "The Best Men Can Be"
That quote from Theodore Dalrymple is on point.

What has been really something to see is the backlash to those who dare criticize the Gillette advert. I normally avoid wasting time on arguing with people who aren't going to listen to reason, but I happened to mention how Gillette was promoting misandry on another web forum and the W in SJW lit up among some of the users there.

But the strange part was how they wouldn't attack on facts. "Please tell me you're joking" or "Misandry isn't real", things along those lines. Attempts to either attack me personally or throw up strawman arguments.

That's not intelligent debate. Statements like those are would-be silencers, not necessarily for me but perhaps for other like-minded people who opt not to put their opinion out there, lest they too be attacked for pointing out irrefutable facts. And that's where the Dalrymple quote comes into play.

Of course, this all goes back to the nonsense of Toxic Masculinity, the intentional conflation of boorish male behavior with true masculine traits in order to paint a narrative based on non-truths. Or at least that's the way I see it.

Remember the rules:
SJWs always lie
SJWs always double down
SJWs always project

Never debate these people seriously based on facts. Rhetoric will win the day rather than rationality, so humiliate them, ridicule them, let their own insane vitriol present them to any neutral parties as unhinged and crazy. Give them just enough rope to hang themselves.

Funny. With this and the Covington Catholic thing back to back, really gets you to see some of the hypocrisy blatantly out in the open. We talked about it, but I've never seen a quick turnaround like this in hot stories.

SJW- "Why are men mad that they're being asked to be better?"

Man- "The commercial puts down all men."

SJW- "You are just a racist MRA!"

Man- "Why do liberals think the MAGA hat is the white hood? They're just asking America to be better."

SJW- "It represents bigotry, racism, and misogyny!"

No, but its founder Ingvar Kamprad moved himself and the headquarters to Switzerland pretty early on as the taxes in Sweden at the time were just ridiculous. It simply wasn't possible to build the business under that tax system.

Tax evasion is illegal and not something I've ever heard IKEA do.

The only thing this is, is great marketing.

I hate the direction society is taking, fuck that noise. But whoever is responsible for this campaign should get a big fucking raise. Fucking homerun.

Nah. Controversy raises brand awareness, but Gilette doesn't need brand awareness, they're the leading brand. They're like coke, they're the default brand for their product and everybody knows they exist.
All this controversy has done is annoy a bunch of existing customers. It's not the end of the company, but it was a stupid, self-inflicted wound.

(By way of comparision, Gilette could get a lot of press by taking out a full page ad in the NYT showing Hitler, in full Nazi dress uniform, trimming his beard with a Gilette styler and the tagline "Gilette. Good enough for Hitler. Good enough for you." Doesn't mean it'd be a good idea.)

I know of a guy who was repeatedly raped in jail after a woman accused him of raping her on a saturday afternoon in the front entrance of Tescos. The police never even checked the tape. She killed herself rather than face perjury trial. I knew her. A cry for help turned into multiple tragedies. Ched Evans had his career destroyed and Jessica Ennis demanded that his employer not re-hire him. Turns out he was innocent.
This has been coming for a while.
Muslims jailed for writing Jihadi poems, Paedophiles arrested for posession of 'pseudo-images' (drawings). Thought crimes/ intent - Jail. Welcome to minority report.
Then came the 'racists'. Tommy Robinson jailed before there was time to even review the evidence against him in court, the media >banned< from even reporting the proceedings. 1984.
Then it was the conservative voices being attacked. A woman who called Mohammed a paedophile for having sex with a 9 year old was convicted for hate speech. The elites think that 1984 is ok so long as the right people are being victimised.
Nothing good will come of this.
'First they came for the terrorists and the paedophiles..'

And we were told Syria was a civil war when Obama, Hillary, Saudi, Qatar et al were flooding the country with as many chechens maghrebis Pakistani mujahedin as they could arrange and people in the SF were having to grit their teeth and help them and 'train' them> headchopping Al Jazeera sponsored White `helmet allied Isis. trained armed and funded by Gulf states and the militaries of Nato countries
And to quote John Pilger Libya was 'the known lie' - not enough noble resistance fighters to even fill a concert venue... "This was the known lie of Islamist militias facing defeat by Libyan government forces. It became the media story; and Nato — led by Obama and Hillary Clinton — launched 9,700 “strike sorties” against Libya, of which more than a third were aimed at civilian targets. Uranium warheads were used; the cities of Misurata and Sirte were carpet-bombed. The Red Cross identified mass graves, and Unicef reported that “most [of the children killed] were under the age of ten.”
But hey.. 'Hopey Change' and 'the first woman president' etc.
Hillary Meryl Streep and Oprah the biggest enablers of Harvey Weinsten.. they all knew there was a danger that they would be tumbled. Hence the oh-so-accidentally well prepared #meToo campaign that clicked into place the moment those female monsters enabling the sexual abuse of other women and intentionally turning a blind eye were about to be exposed. It was all.. Men!
Good to know.
The Gilette advert? John Pilger: "cynical campaigns to win over minorities by abusing a white majority. Divide and rule, this is called; or identity politics in which race and gender conceal class, and allow the waging of class war."
He's right on the money.
Thomas Keneally, the author of Schindlers Ark, wrote an article in which he argued that first prejudice is like first love.. its all so intoxicating and unique and special and the world doesnt get how >this time< its different, this time the critics dont understand that these people should be punished for their immutable characteristics - be they Black, Female, Gay, White, Male whatever..

The 'Liberal Left' and rapacious transnational capitalism are now the same thing.

Peter Strzok appears guilty of falsifying the 302 reports around General Michael Flynn's FBI interview. The people who originally wrote them up said they didnt think that Flynn was lying - his convicted crime.
Flynn? His term as director of the DIA occurred during the Benghazi time span; he was aware of what was taking place,(that Hillary was sending weapons to Isis from Benghazi thru Qatar) who was responsible, and what their objectives were. In short, he knew all of the details of the weapons smuggling operation and how it had gone awry, culminating in the death of a senior U.S. diplomat in Benghazi that Hillary and Obama lied about.
First they came for the paedophiles and the terrorists, then they came for the rayyyycists..
You wanna know how we end up in a dystopian police state nightmare?
This is the beginning.
Then they came for their political enemies..

I won't discuss how this is better or worse, but I got your point.

Also I did my first shave this morning with a Merkur safety razor and it went just fine.
It does take a bit longer, but it's interesting to see that you don't have to run everywhere your whole life and do everything as fast as you can just to get rid of it, and that time of the morning is certainly good for pondering on this if you ask me.

All this controversy has done is annoy a bunch of existing customers. It's not the end of the company, but it was a stupid, self-inflicted wound.

I for one, find these types of boycott/brand switching to be pretty easy and sustainable. I needed new razors today, so I made a point to forego the Gillette shit and put my hand on a Wilkinson Sword razor instead.

That shitty Nike advert last year pissed me off enough to avoid their products ever since. I buy sportswear fairly regularly and since then have bought New Balance and Adidas.

Ever since The Last Jedi, I've declined purchasing any SW crap. That's two Blu-Ray purchases; TLJ and Solo.

That's just for starters. Totting that up, that's £10 for razors, £100 for trainers, sportswear, £30 on Blu-Rays. These 'woke' organisations have lost £140 from me in just a few months and I'm not even trying. Over a lifetime, I buy a lot of razors, wear a lot of sportswear and watch a lot of movies. As I'm far from being the only one pissed off here, I've no doubt that these people are going to take a significant financial hit sooner or later.

The good thing is, that even when they see the error of their ways and start dialling back or even countering 'the message', I still won't give a fuck. Not coming back, ever.

Also, I get to win, as buying razors and replacement blades has now become a fun experience! Who'd have thought it! I will now forever hand over my non-Gillette purchase to the cashier with a knowing 'Maga Smirk'.

I am expecting my first Dollar Shave Club package this week. But now you have coined the "MAGA Smirk" I wish I just switched to Schick or something else so I could buy it OTC and work on my own Smirk.

Yes - IKEA is not globohomo despite some diverse casts in their catalogues. They do the barest minimum for the globalist crap. The owner in the past used to support the Nazis mainly as a support of Whites and the culture - he disavowed them later of course and likely meant it, since he isn't a negative guy - just a businessman, but one who cherishes Western culture and the achievement of his countrymen.

His tax optimization scheme - buddy - with everything I know about the globalists and in particular about the actions of the Swedes. If he had given Sweden billions in taxes, then they would have just spent it on Somalis and Muslims enriching and destroying his country. In that instance it's a patriot's duty to go off-shore to Switzerland. Best case you return to Sweden after a war when it's really Swedish again and help re-build the country with those saved billions.

He still hires a shit-ton of people in extremely well-paid jobs in Sweden and hasn't off-shored those good jobs to cheaper locations like Prague, Poland or China. You can for example hire entire teams of designers for the price of one Swedish one. But he doesn't.

IKEA, Redbull and other companies - those are Redpill shitlords who don't bow to the globohomos any more than they have to do for pure survival.

RE: Gillette releases new toxic masculinity commercial: "The Best Men Can Be"
Yeah I don't know, it's not an easy subject in any case.

I mean IKEA wants to operate in france, sell to the french customers, yet won't pay the french taxes - is it normal ? is it fair ?
Of course taxes suck, nobody is debating that, but they are part of the game.

The people voted to be able to receive some service from the government and someone has to pay for it - why are the poor and the rich exempt, and why should only the middle class always pay for everything ?
That swedish guy, ok just maybe he is actually saving to rebuild his country in some hypothetical future (let's give him the benefit of the doubt, regardless of how improbable it seems), but then why couldn't I do the same too myself ?

And regarding evasion vs optimization, it gets back to letter vs spirit of the law and apparently nobody wants to discuss this Wink

Is there a list of pro-West companies anywhere? We know about the most egregious offenders on the other side and there are a few lists of those floating around for boycott reference, but is there a compilation anywhere of companies we should go out of our way to support?

I got my Magnum condoms, I got my wad of hundreds, I'm ready to plow!
