Trump is cutting the CCP down to size so they don't export their methods of social control over here via traitors like Dianne Feinstein and Andrew Yang. The Sino-U.S. dynamic is the one issue that Trump absolutely has to prevail in if he is to maintain American strength and garner the political capital to resist the globalists in the long term.
China is not an innocent downtrodden nationalist country that is just minding its own business. Its economy is based on Ponzi schemes that exploit its poorest 1 billion people, steal Western technology, and extend communist corruption via the One Belt One Road to second-rate countries whose dictators want an extra boost against their restive populations.
Like Trump, Xi Jinping's stated efforts at reform (I don't expect anyone here to read Chinese propaganda regularly but references to reform have been everywhere since Xi came on as Chairman) have been compromised by the Chinese equivalent of the Deep State, which is 10X worse than the American one since CCP doesn't even attempt to follow its own laws so everything is determined by factional interests. Trump's trade war is actually a blessing in disguise for Xi, since it will give him political leverage to break the back of the corrupt vested interests in Beijing.
If Trump can give Xi the opportunity he needs to open up the Chinese economy to use functioning market principles, it will be an actual win-win situation for both sides.
No offense Lunos, but that bolded statement there is delusional. By nearly every measure, China has has already caught up with the US as the world's greatest economic power. China produces nearly three times the number of cars made in the US annually, more than the annual output of the US, Japan and Germany combined. Its wealth is largely based on its industrial output, as opposed to ponzi schemes, or capital schemes like the Petrodollar, or the Fed running up US debt. Chinese wealth is based on Chinese labor, while US wealth is based on capital and capital markets, stripping domestic assets and shipping US jobs overseas.
And China "exploits its poorest billion people"? They do that by making them a hell of a lot richer, those ruthless commies are just so damn cruel.
They do steal technology, but most of their tech progress has been gained by leveraging their domestic market (which is now the world's largest, and that gap is growing), forcing foreign companies to transfer technology and produce domestically in exchange for access to their market. I'd be stoked about this if I were Chinese.
They also produce nearly 10 times as many STEM graduates as the US, and they don't lower their academic standards to accommodate for baizuo stuff like affirmative action or Title IX, or hamper their young graduates with crippling debt.
![[Image: chartoftheday_7913_the_countries_with_th...ates_n.jpg]](https://infographic.statista.com/normal/chartoftheday_7913_the_countries_with_the_most_stem_graduates_n.jpg)
I think you're probably too young to understand how far along that country has gotten since it shifted gears. Back in the 1980s, China wasn't much different from North Korea today.
Man that's a lot of STEM graduates. Here's a sweet generalization since we've been throwing them around a bit in here.
Please go to any general graduate program in the United States that either China or India are subsidizing and tell me what percent of the students in these programs are either cheating or figuring out ways to game the system. Hint: it's a lot. My program chair wanted to kick out a quarter of the foreign graduate students because they had an entire cheating ring operating. In fact they wanted to kick out even more than that but the school administration forbid them to do so and so they just made examples of a few students. The two ethnicities that were part of this were??? You guessed it Chinese and Indian students. Very odd they needed to cheat considering their transcripts were phenomenal. You would think we were getting people who would make MIT graduates look like fools.
The cheating continued but this time around they acted like they didn't see it - they probably had a nice long talk from the higher ups who are milking the funds from the foreign governments. I've had this echoed by multiple people I've known or spoken to at different universities (tier 1/tier 2) in different STEM programs. You think it's going to be different in China? Please- it's probably even worse.
And your facts are a bit off based on your chart alone. It's not 10x it's closer to 8x and when population is accounted for we're looking at only 2x. This is with America being at it's weakest point and the least amount of "push" for men to become STEM majors.
Just waiting for someone to link the global IQ map where we see our measly American IQs being dwarfed by the massive purple 106 IQ landmass of the robotic memorizing Chinese.

RE: Canada Arrests Huawei CFO
China has activated their "grassroots/local" individuals here in Vancouver in opposition to Canada's arrest and detainment of the CFO.
Defense for the CFO is claiming her "Canadian Roots" sharing the fact that she owns two homes and sharing a bunch of tourist pictures at popular spots around the province.
Bail hearings, in the effort to prove she won't leave the defense also proposed that she would wear an electronic device and have a private security firm follow her 24/7, all at her own cost.
Crown's not buying it, saying the device could be tampered with.
Really interesting play of events, some strange ones too like a group of people trying to break into her home the other day, and neighbours reporting the fact that they are there one week a year, and their now quiet street has a bunch of people coming to take selfies to post on Chinese social media.
This case is pretty much another USA vs. China battle, Canada is just a vassal/tributary state being fought over by the two. Canadian government doesn't care, they'll sell out to either one, as long as the government employees get paid and the Canadian oligarchs are safe and fed.

They've been courting China hard in the Trudeau government these past few years, this while also having intelligence agencies concerned of CCP infiltration into positions of power, Chinese money laundering in RE in various Canadian cities, Chinese pushing fentanyl onto the ground and killing Canadians.
This courtship coming to the attention of Trump and the US, hence new rules written into the USMC trade agreement in regards to China trade, and now this arrest, done so as a favor to the US.
Why would anyone want a trade deal with China? Canada would get it up the arse if they ever finalized an agreement with China, and would just anger the US more.
Trump's tariffs means shit, if the Chinese just use Canada to dump into the US.

RE: Canada Arrests Huawei CFO
The war against Huawei continues.
The US has shot down twice the digital services network Softbank of Japan and Huawei developed together, first in Dec 6th and yesterday.
This happened ahead of the Softbank IPO for its new division of digital services which was expected to raise $21 billion.

There's nothing in your article that even hints that the US has "shot down" their network. At least link an article from a dubious source that agrees with your theory.
I'm not saying it's not possible, but you're just pulling shit out of your ass without the least bit of support/additional info. This forum deserves better.
Who has the ability to do something like that? The US Government

China hitting back by telling their consumers on Weibo to stop buying Canadian Goose. Looks like this fights just getting started folks!
https://ottawacitizen.com/news/retail-ma...eab73788c9
Quote:Canada Goose Holdings Inc., the trendy maker of premium parkas, has tumbled almost 20 per cent over the past four days. At the same time, Bosideng International Holdings Ltd., a Hong Kong-based downy apparel maker, has jumped nearly 13 per cent to a five-year high.
The detention of Huawei’s Meng Wanzhou last week has affected Canadian companies, causing Canada Goose’s share price to slump, the official Weibo account of a website backed by state-run Global Times said Tuesday. Calls have gone out on the Weibo social-media platform to boycott Canadian brands, including Canada Goose.

Good for China. Hope Chinese Government starts dragging its feet at prosecuting fentanyl dealers, so the US can get the message.
