It's what AC calls an amglydia hijack.

What happens when they read this post is that it "triggers" them very literally. Specifically when they read it they know those things would disqualify them and it triggers the fear of being rejected and ostracized for their behavior.

Rather than examine that feeling its much easier to just lash out at the proximate source of discomfort.
