Lots of good posts in here. I’m now 36 and, as much as I like to get laid, I mostly travel for the adventure activities, weather, personal growth etc. Back in 2005-2010 it was quite a bit easier, now it’s a struggle to get a 6 during a short-term stay. I may have a shot at a Colombian girl 14yrs my junior, but I’m not even that thrilled, it’s just travel fun. I also had several 21-25yr old jealous tools competing for her today, so there’s that. The body language was obvious.

I hate dating apps or using dating sites for short-term travel. I just go do stuff, start conversations and enjoy myself.

Like the saying from Slim Charles on the Wire:

“The game ain’t changed, it just got more fierce”.

It seems to me that part of the reason for this change is that local men in “developing” countries are improving. They also have social circle which puts the short term traveler at a big disadvantage. The girls could also be looking for guys with an actual future / solid career. It certainly felt that way in most Asian countries I’ve been to, including the Philippines, where I am now.

In my mind, best way to bang a girl while travelling is to bang another girl who is travelling at the same time.

I find its easier to bang locals if you have some level of permanence in a place 1 week+.

But if you stay and work a social circle, pursue some goals, this is where the sweet spot is in my mind.
