Damn, this case gets me in the feels, I think because I was a black college student going for a worthless degree with no game on an American campus. My Uncle, who has been happily married for 52 years, won his wife with a 3 page letter (or 2 page, or whatever it was). So did millions of other men. Writing a letter to a girl to try to woo her is one of the classiest and oldest techniques for normal socially. Even 20 years ago, it was considered a perfectly normal way to try to win a woman's heart. If she didn't want the man, she would write back, nicely but firmly, and say so.

There is nothing even remotely creepy about it. Unless you are modern woman and have accepted (as all modern women have) the absurd and catastrophically evil idea that "courtship of women by men" should be weaponized and turned into a way to destroy men's lives.

It's not like most dudes here are 18 years old. The game got fucked up the most in the early-mid 2000s. It was a swift change, you can even time the advent of the Manosphere to it. For guys born in the early 90s or late 80s, likely your parents were still somewhat normal or decent, unless you grew up with a single mom that never got married before.
