I have actual points beyond her bra size. Here they are:

1). I think her recent Tweets questioning Amazon picking her district for its new "HQ2" headquarters are on the money. Someone needs to stand to these mega-corporations. Conservatives bend over for them, and that's part of what gives them so much power they do things like ban books for bullshit reasons.

I see these two subjects as connected.

In the old days the gov't enforced anti-trust laws to assure no company got too big for their britches. We no longer enforce them, largely because of the "Chamber Of Commerce" branch of conservatism, which posits the idea that all business is good all the time. It isn't. When you bow down to the corporations the overreach of Amazon and Silicon Valley is the result.

Beyond that, companies like this get mega-tax breaks and rarely add anything of value to the communities in which they move. They offer a few jobs locally and draw in commuters that tax the infrastructure. Her statements can be read here.

2). On the other side of the coin, her recent Tweets saying that "sexual assault is about power" are completely wrongheaded. That idea came from "feminist theory" in the 1970s, not modern not science.

We now have science. It comes from the groundbreaking 2001 book "A Natural History Of Rape: Biological Bases of Sexual Coercion." The book makes the OBVIOUS point that a man has to have an erection to rape and often ejaculates, therefore sex is clearly involved.

If you want to be "progressive" -- as she professes to be -- that should include keeping up-to-date on the progress science makes, even when it's unpleasant to read.

But clearly, she prefers to spout the party line for this: "Sexual Assault Is About Power Not Sex." That's because that allows women to abdicate any responsibility for getting sexually assaulted. But truth wins out eventually and someday the info in "A Natural History Of Rape" will become standard knowledge.

Her district is right on the edge of what's currently the "default" choice of neighborhoods for millenials who get their first "real job" in NYC. This threatens to bring in 25,000 additional Democratic primary voters who aren't poor, already have futures under the current system, and don't really care about her issues. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. The corporate welfare given to Amazon to lure them into her (in two months) district is shitty, but indicative of how overtaxed businesses are generally. There are shades of Obama and "you didn't build that". I mean really, it's over $60k per job created. There are dozens of guys on this forum alone who could jump start a small business with 15 employees if they were tossed a million dollars in goodies.

Another thought, and maybe it deserves it's own thread or two, is that you have AOC now elected as a Millenial's Millennial and one has to hang their heads and worry about an entire lost generation. However, aside from here, my online time is generally split between Daily Wire and Bit Chute. The former is headed by Ben Shapiro (age 34) and the latter I use to watch Steven Crowder (age 31). They are a bit older than Gaffy (age 28) but in swinging distance. Just as a straw poll, who else here would support either of these guys if they pursued elected office?
