I look around and see a lot reason to be optimistic for the future. If you step away from the pinholes and look around at a bigger world there's a lot to like. When you see the massive fires on TV this is the reality for the majority of the state

Pinhole effect aside and I am no alarmist or the emergerd we're doomed type, and no insult to you two but a volcano billowing out might not be the whole island but its a big fucking volcano event and those bush fires are a systemetic problem for Cali, a problem the professionals are saying is getting too out of control way too often.

As I said, a fire alarm is right sometimes.

If that Volcano blew in a spectacular style can you get off the island before something really bad occurs?

The news is making it look like the whole damn island is on fire. The area affected is actually,pretty small, and pretty barren. Its a lava field already. Its contained. Remember, this is where (((they))) filmed the moon landing. There's nothing there.

Also, I just talked to a guy whom is eager to cash in on volcano damage. He told me with a straight face that he's going to buy volcano damaged cars. I don't have it in me to!tell him that means melted.

You used to be able to swim right there when I was a kid, before people had stupid rules. Its an interesting spot. In a matter of meters and centimeters (So Leonard knows what I mean) you can go from a nice swim, to some pleasantly warm water, to boiled to death. It happens quickly.
