I'm a bit of a health nut. I am horrible to eat out with - "Does that have sugar in it? Is it fried? Can I order it without the bread and sub a side salad instead? Dessert? I'd rather just have a double espresso... black. Cheese? Um, no. Can you put all the dressing on the side?"

So, the other night I have a new plate over at my house. We're cooking and all is well. Then this...

"Do you have a lighter?"
"Yeah, I have one in my cigar humidor. It's in the bar. Actually, I have several." (I do smoke cigars and have tons of cool lighters)
"Do you mind if I use one?"
"Sure... okay..."

I'm thinking she's going to light up a joint (not my thing, but whatever), or maybe one of those stupid vape pens. (Do they take lighters? I don't know. Again, not my thing.)

She goes out back and lights up a cigarette. As the night goes on, she smokes several of them.

Now her breath is hot, and I'm not really interested in making out. I tell her that I have some work stuff in the morning and that I can't really hang out much longer.

Bear in mind she's pretty a hot - a solid 8 but a bit older than I'm used to in her late 30s (looks mid 20s). I start to notice that her voice is a bit raspy. Otherwise, all is well, and I enjoy hanging out with her. But the smoking thing...

What is your opinion on girls who smoke? I'm kind of thinking it's a deal breaker.

It's my no.1 slut tell, it's been 100% accurate so far, pretty big sample size too.

I live in Austria, I think worldwide we have the highest percentage of smokers. Or at least pretty close.

Between 16-25 I guess 30-40% of the girls smoke. Oh and they are all sluts too usually.

Deal breaker in LTR's.

Don't care when banging them, however I tease the fuck out of them for being an ash tray.

They get the hint and chew gym or use mouthwash.

When they initially say, "Hey do you mind if I smoke?"

I reply with, "sure as long as you don't taste like an ash tray after" -subtly hinting to have fresh breath

They comply.

We went out for lunch today and she didn't smoke once, after I gave her a rash of shit about it last week.

What's interesting is that she is athletic and plays sports.

According to Tuthmosis' ROK article, "26 MORE Signs She's A Slut." Smoking is listed number one(granted it didn't make his original 24). I think smoking is a top three red flag you can pick up on within seconds along with tattoos and piercings. It is a serious red flag for a LTR.

Well she got checked and corrected about it around you, that's always a plus.

Shitty habit especially playing sports, but I know a few bodybuilders who smoke weed and/or ciggs along with collegiate athletes.

Doesn't make any sense to me.

If you are a smoker its a non issue, but I agree with you, I can't stand it.

I met a hot girl, she is 19 and has multiple piercings, tattoos and she smokes and takes drugs. Funnily enough she was super cool to hang out with and didn't come across as slutty at all.

Smoking is definitely a red flag for me.

For a short term fling, I would have the house stocked with plenty of $1 travel bottles of mouth wash and soap so she can smell fresh. There is no way she is getting into my bed smelling like an ash tray.

LTRs are a no go. Smoking speeds up the aging process and they are bad for your health. Not a good look.

Serbia has you beat.
Austrian smoking is bad but Serbia is practically one big smoking lounge. Yet, Serbian girls are not famous for slutty behavior.

I've been vaping for 4 years. Vapes don't take lighters. And the smell of the vapor dissipates much faster and never lingers on your clothes, so I like meeting girls who vape.
I never let girls smoke inside my house. It really reeks. They are free to smoke outside and use mouthwash before we bang
In Korea too, girls who smoke are generally a sure lay if you pull back to your place.

In addition to it being gross and indicating impulse-control problems, from a social standpoint I also think when you smoke it sort of forces you to associate only with fellow smokers. This is because most public places (other than some nightclubs) force smokers out of the building. So you wind up seeing the smokers constantly congregating outside. If you date a smoker then you run into these awkward situations where you're out to dinner and she needs to get her fix and she has to go puff her cig outside for 10 minutes while you nurse your drink.

I posted back in the “Red Flags” thread from a couple years back that smoking is a red flag.

But, if the chick is from a society/culture (Europe, for example) where smoking is prevalent, I tend to view it differently.

If she’s a 1-5 butts per day type, but everything else is “good”? I’d tolerate for an 'x' period of time, but the smoking would have to end.

5-10? That roughly averages out to about 1 every 2 hours (based on a 16 hour day). Not a chain smoker, but trending in that direction. Barring a cutback followed by total cessation, it would be a “LTR” deal breaker.

More than 10? Walking ashtray. FB only.

Up to ~10 years ago, smoking was pretty much an automatic disqualifer for me. But with the explosion of fat, tatted up, grotesque heifers...I’ll take the smoking.

Smoking among girls since the age of 16 starts here in Balkans and goes further to the east of Europe. I see a lot of people referring to EE girls as chimneys but I don't know if they realize that for example over 50% of girls here in Croatia smoke regularly.
Smoking cigarettes has always been trait of poor countries and working class and its obvious that mass smoking among teens started with their parents during Yugoslavia (socialist poor country) and kids inhabiting their ways.
I too smoked, albeit more for the social reasons but still I quit instantly when I read Alan Carr's book.
That being said, even though I am disgusted now with smoking, I don't mind people smoking around me. Its a common habit here and there is practically no night bars without smoking getting in your eyes.

Which, for a ONS, you can look past if she's hot enough. But any half-decent man who would considering wifeing up a smoker needs to have some sense smacked into him.

Consider the issues [email protected] brough up, along with:
-Increased disease & mortality risk
-Increased risk of birth defects
-House will smell like smoke
-Will pass on harmful effects to you and children via secondhand smoke
-Will waste significant money on cigarettes
-Will cause a hassle when you go places together
-Increased probability she was a slut
-Increased probability she comes from a broken family/lacks good values
-Indicates that she has poor/impulsive judgment
-Indicates that she isn't that concerned with her attractiveness (if she's okay with smelliness, premature wrinkles, and yellow teeth, what else will she let happen to herself?)
-Indicates that she isn't driven to be the best woman she can be/doesn't take pride in herself

I don't care if a girl smokes. Sometimes I prefer it if I'm strictly going for a bang because it adds to her probability of putting out since a girl who takes careless health risks like that surely are more careless with their sexuality as well.

That said I don't think I would marry or have kids with a girl who smokes. It is kind of a gross habit and not something I would want to live with and it's pretty unhealthy.

It's a gross habit. I consider smoking to be a major red flag, for the same reasons Delta outlined.

Judging from my experience, women who smoke are on average more sluttier and a bigger pain in the ass than non-smokers. It makes sense if you remember how the tobacco industry used women to promote smoking during the mid-20th century. They deliberately targeted women with ads that equated smoking with female liberation.

That's why whenever I encounter and game a woman who smokes, I instantly presume she's a glorified whore; i.e. a typical Western woman who requires a lot of Game to handle. This politically incorrect prejudice has yet to fail me.

On the positive side, I have to say I'm happy with the fact that, according to some recent studies, smoking among the youth is slowly losing in popularity.
