It looks like the shit may be hitting the fan for R Kelly. The rumors have been going around for over twenty years. I have to wonder if this is the end for him:

What's the latest with Weinstein, is he batting away more than the one case that was recently dismissed or is he still being targeted en-masse?

#MeToo is such BS though, I recently went on a date with a feminist and she was such a slut but preaching all this #MeToo bollocks and consent, luckily I got her on video and via text saying how bad she wants my dick and lets fuck but knowing her and reading through the #MeToo stuff again, I wouldn't be surprised if she turned around and made a false rape claim.

Stay safe chaps!

The case against Weinstein is currently crumbling. Some of the charges have already been dropped, and those remaining are shaky at best. He is also deploying top private detectives to discredit, bribe, "convince", etc. Plus, he is probably innocent of the crimes he was accused of.

The real question is, if Weinstein gets out of these borderline fabricated charges, what happens next?

Will they pull a Cosby on him, and rig a second trial where he is guaranteed to lose? Will actresses he "raped" join in a massive civil suit that could also be rigged to ensure he loses everything?

If not, I would say #MeToo is officially dead. The Kavanaugh thing definitely weakened #MeToo, but if Weinstein walks away without jail time or being bankrupted, we'll know it's done.

While R Kelly is definitely a very bad person, most of what he's done shouldn't be considered hard crimes. The "rape" accusations are basically him having consensual sex with teenage girls, the rest of it is him playing sociopathic pimp game.

This very, very different from the other entertainment industry types that target real children (under 13 yrs), young boys, etc.

Notice that straight guys who like attractive teen girls are "pervs", "rapists", etc, while gay pedophiles go completely unmentioned.

Why is that?

I believe the allegations involved girls as young as 14, so depending on the jurisdiction that may be well below the age of consent. A sex tape was leaked, not sure it was ever proven to be him fucking the girl in the video? Definitely some grey area there but if he's fucking 14 year old children he needs to face justice.

As for your other point, I believe the sexual abuse of boys and young men has been covered up a lot more than that of girls/women. I base this on the sheer number of homosexuals in the entertainment business, plus stories from actors like Corey Feldman (speaking of his deceased friend Corey Haim), Elijah Wood, and others. Part of why it goes unnoticed is that, while women are encouraged to speak out (and all of us are told we have to believe whatever they say), men are shouted down, like what Barbara Walters did to Feldman. Societal views toward women versus those of men: cherished versus disposable.

RE: The #MeToo thread
There's a difference between social misconduct and a legal crime. Crimes are actionable through the state. Misconduct is all about social rep therefore only shaming, boycotts, and blacklisting can be employed. The vast majority of the #MeToo movement is about misconduct or perceived misconduct. It's the sort of stuff that in days gone by would be handled via the gossipping biddies in the town that so and so is handsy and people silently adjusted their behaviors and affiliations accordingly. It's just that today the internet tries to conjure up shaming lynch mobs. At some level the #MeToo-ers know all this and therefore there's an attempt to keep broadening the scope of criminal behavior. Shaming will always be subjective. Legal definitions, not so much. Women don't have a good perspective on what should or shouldn't be a crime. Social annoyances like manspreading and catcalling feel like they should be crimes to them in the sense that they want to socially engineer an easier life through criminalization. Criminalization allows them to appeal to the state in the same way a child says "I'm gonna tell on you" and rushes to mommy. It allows them to avoid having to tolerate and overcome uncomfortable social situations themselves.

Carolla and Mark Geragos break down why the Weinstein case is crumbling.
https://www.podcastone.com/episode/RD-17...e-Unravels

The woman on the charges (charges 4, 5, and 6?) had alleged that Weinstein had raped her and that he forcibly orally copulated her, and as it turns out, there were 4 years worth of emails between the two of them that were never presented to the Grand Jury. The emails are relationship over a period of years and not to be discarded.

She said that Harvey raped her (made her blow him). Her friend said that at the time, Harvey was upfront with her and said "if you want the part in the movie, blow me", so she blew him and went outside and told her friend that. When her friend is interviewed by the cop, the cop says less is more, New Yorker interview with Ronan Faroh, etc, etc.

All these details are presented in the motion. You haven't presented a full picture to the Grand Jury, and now you're indicting the guy...NY law says, you can't indict somebody if you haven't presented a full picture to the Grand Jury.

This from the NYT...
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/11/nyreg...issed.html
Quote:...
Mr. Weinstein, 66, was charged in May with raping one woman and forcing another, Lucia Evans, to perform oral sex on him. Ms. Evans, a marketing executive, had testified to a state grand jury that the forced sex act had occurred in 2004, during a casting meeting at the offices of Mr. Weinstein’s film company, Miramax, in Manhattan’s TriBeCa neighborhood.

But in a letter unsealed after Thursday’s hearing, prosecutors from the Manhattan district attorney’s office revealed that a friend of Ms. Evans had informed them in August that Ms. Evans had given her a different account of the incident. The friend, who was not identified, told prosecutors that Ms. Evans had said she willingly performed oral sex on Mr. Weinstein in exchange for the promise of an “acting job.”

The friend said that she had provided this information to the lead detective in February, more than three months before Mr. Weinstein was indicted. According to the prosecutors’ letter, the detective, Nicholas DiGaudio, “failed to inform” the district attorney’s office of “important details” of the interview. In addition, he explained to the friend that she had no obligation to cooperate with prosecutors, telling her “less is more.”

Mr. Weinstein’s lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, urged the judge on Thursday to dismiss the single charge concerning Ms. Evans in light of the new evidence. Joan Illuzzi, the lead prosecutor in the case, said she did not object to Mr. Brafman’s motion at the hearing. The judge, Justice James Burke, threw out the count.
...

They have a bunch of exculpatory evidence that wasn't presented to the Grand Jury for the indictment.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

(09-11-2018 12:10 PM)jeffreyjerpp Wrote:  There has been a very bizarre twist in the case of molesting gymnastics Doctor Larry Nassar, one which makes me wonder if he wasn't a part of something bigger.

"A woman says in a recently filed lawsuit that Larry Nassar drugged and raped her during a medical appointment in 1992, when she was a Michigan State University field hockey player.

George Perles, who resigned as athletic director in 1992 and is a current Michigan State trustee, later intervened and the complaint was dropped, according to the lawsuit. Perles forced Ludwig to return the video, resign and sign a non-disclosure agreement, according to the lawsuit."

"The police told them that since she was an athlete, she had to report it to the athletic department," her attorneys wrote in the lawsuit. "The detective explicitly told them that he was powerless to investigate anything that takes place to the athletic department and to go to the athletic department.

"Plaintiff Erika explained that the athletic department already dismissed it and the Sergeant responded that George Perles is a 'powerful man,' and she should just drop it."

Pretty weird, right? The police and multiple individuals in the athletics department covered for this guy, now Michigan State is paying $500M in settlements to end it.

But that's not all.....USA Gymnastics actually PROMOTED a woman who was also covering for him!

"In the wake of the Larry Nassar sexual abuse scandal, the USA Gymnastics Women’s Program announced Tuesday night that the organization has appointed gymnastics coach Mary Lee Tracy as its new elite development coordinator.

....But, as the news came out Tuesday night, many pointed to the time Tracy defended Nassar in December 2016. At the time, more than 50 girls and women had already accused Nassar of serial sexual abuse."

huffingtonpost.com/entry/mary-lee-tracy-larry-nassar-elite-coordinator_us_5b868dd3e4b0cf7b0030c5af

If one institution (university, USA gymnastics, etc) was negligent, that is one thing. Yet there's an odd pattern of institutions each covering for him.

It reminds me of the Catholic Church. Initially, it seems like incompetence or a few bad apples. Only now is it coming to light that the Church is basically an organized pedophile conspiracy.

What do you think?

ANOTHER bizarre twist. Another individual close to Nassar who seemed to have his back, or at a minimum turn a blind eye to what he was doing.

The former President of Michigan State University lied to police about what she knew, and when. She is now charged with multiple felonies.

"Former Michigan State University President Lou Anna Simon has been charged with lying to police conducting an investigation of Larry Nassar’s sexual abuse.

Simon, who stepped down earlier this year over the scandal, was charged Tuesday with two felonies and two misdemeanors.
......
A charging document alleges that Simon told state police that she was aware that in 2014 a university sports doctors was the subject of an investigation, but she did not know it was Nassar. Police says she knew he was under investigation."

RE: The #MeToo thread
Two more women accuse astronomer Neil deGrasse Tyson of sexual misconduct.

Quote:Two more women, including a fellow astronomer, say Neil deGrasse Tyson is guilty of inappropriate sexual conduct.

Dr. Katelyn N. Allers, Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Bucknell University, told me that she was “felt up” by Tyson at an after-party following a meeting of the American Astronomical Society (AAS) in 2009. AAS didn’t have a mechanism for reporting sexual harassment at the time, but Dr. Allers says she probably would report the incident if it had happened today.

The groping incident allegedly took place at an after-party following the AAS meeting in 2009, which took place in Long Beach. This was supposed to be a lighthearted social event to show that astronomers could have fun, according to Dr. Allers.

“Tyson was there, and he was dancing and drinking and all of that at the party, so a friend and I decided to get pictures with him,” she told me.

But after the first picture was taken (above, left), Tyson decided to explore Dr. Allers’ tattoo. It features a realistic solar system that stretches from her arm to her back and collar bone area.

“After we had taken the picture, he noticed my tattoo and kind of grabbed me to look at it, and was really obsessed about whether I had Pluto on this tattoo or not… and then he looked for Pluto, and followed the tattoo into my dress.”

Dr. Allers said her experience was public and didn’t rise to the level of assault, but that it did show Tyson was capable of some “creepy behavior.”

“My experience with him is he’s not someone who has great respect for female bodily autonomy,” she told me in a phone interview.

[...]

As if this allegation wasn’t shocking enough, it came within days of my interview with Ashley Watson, a former assistant to Tyson who says she was forced to quit her job due to his inappropriate sexual advances.

Watson worked directly with Tyson for several months. She says that, during that time, he put her in an uncomfortable situation by attempting to persuade her into sex, and demonstrated his “predatory tendencies.”

In hindsight, there were red flags that she “chose to not pay attention to,” Watson told me in an interview.

Specifically, Watson said Tyson occasionally made “misogynistic comments,” and that he kept a list of overweight actresses on his phone to prove that women aren’t inhibited by portrayals in the media when it comes to health and fitness. He allegedly said it was untrue that women feel pressured to be skinny based on societal standards.

I kind of want to see that list - is it ranked by weight? Laugh

That fat ugly bitch felt unsafe IN PUBLIC with A CAMERA PRESENT . Get the fuck out of here. The other crazy bitch that accused him of rape in the 1980's is so nuts that I will not waste RVF members time discussing her level of crazy (Sky high levels). And the former assistant accusing him of "inappropriate behavior " is also a dumb drama prone bitch- "he tried to romance me but I left, and quit my job soon after:". Fuck these bitches, i do not agree with everything prominent MGTOWs. But the fat tattooed bitch makes me want to avoid women entirely- except the hot bitches keep pulling me back in!

Laugh

This link comes from the conservative Christian blog Patheos, which is subtitled "Hosting the Conversation on Faith." A few points:

This blog is breathlessly reporting Neil deGrasse Tyson's ALLEGED improprieties. Yet one of their longtime columnists was Bristol Palin, a single mother who had two kids by two different men, both out of wedlock (link here).

There is a lesson here. If you're a man, the Christian Right will throw you under the bus as quickly as feminists, especially if they disagree with your viewpoints. They'll also sanctify any woman who backs their worldview -- just like feminists.

Let's step back and look at the larger message Patheos is sending.

1). A man looks at the tattoos of a woman who sought him out for a photo op and that man is also said to have made verbal advances on a woman at work. No crime per se was committed and it's doubtful any real social transgression even took place. That's now cause for public shaming.

2). A unmarried teenage girl gets pregnant, winds up in a custody battle, gets pregnant again, gets married, then gets divorced within two years and ends up in yet another custody battle. She also stars in a reality program called "Teen Mom O.G." This is cause for celebration.

What kind of a "conversation on faith" is that?

Cunts.

The allegations are bullshit for sure. But if it were another physicist being piled on for specious charges of sexism, Neil Degrasse Tyson would certainly be part of the virtue-signalers rousing a mob and calling for his head, tweeting out shit like, "There's no room for sexism in science."

RE: The #MeToo thread
FINALLY a real penalty for women in the wake of #MeToo:

"While the new personal codes for dealing with #MeToo have only just begun to ripple, the shift is already palpable, according to the people interviewed, who declined to be named. They work for hedge funds, law firms, banks, private equity firms and investment-management firms.

For obvious reasons, few will talk openly about the issue. Privately, though, many of the men interviewed acknowledged they’re channeling Pence, saying how uneasy they are about being alone with female colleagues, particularly youthful or attractive ones, fearful of the rumor mill or of, as one put it, the potential liability.

A manager in infrastructure investing said he won’t meet with female employees in rooms without windows anymore; he also keeps his distance in elevators. A late-40-something in private equity said he has a new rule, established on the advice of his wife, an attorney: no business dinner with a woman 35 or younger.

The changes can be subtle but insidious, with a woman, say, excluded from casual after-work drinks, leaving male colleagues to bond, or having what should be a private meeting with a boss with the door left wide open."

bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-12-03/a-wall-street-rule-for-the-metoo-era-avoid-women-at-all-cost

I personally agree with all of this, and until women collectively renounce #MeToo, believe they should be excluded to the greatest extent possible from anything besides miserable dead end jobs.

The article then tries to insert absurd cuck rhetoric about how the cancellation of events was necessary for things to be equal:

"In January, as #MeToo was gathering momentum, Biscardi did away with the late-night, open-bar gathering he’d hosted for years in his penthouse suite during Context Capital’s annual conference at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. “Given the fact that women are in the minority at our events, we want to make sure that the environment is always welcoming and comfortable. We felt that eliminating the after-party was necessary to remain consistent with that goal.”
....
“There aren’t enough women in senior positions to bring along the next generation all by themselves,” said Lisa Kaufman, chief executive officer of LaSalle Securities. “Advancement typically requires that someone at a senior level knows your work, gives you opportunities and is willing to champion you within the firm. It’s hard for a relationship like that to develop if the senior person is unwilling to spend one-on-one time with a more junior person.”

Men have to step up, she said, and “not let fear be a barrier.”

^But are any of the men in law or finance so stupid that they'll fall for this bullshit? I highly doubt it.

Wall Street Rule for the #MeToo Era: Avoid Women at All Cost

(Bloomberg) -- No more dinners with female colleagues. Don’t sit next to them on flights. Book hotel rooms on different floors. Avoid one-on-one meetings.

In fact, as a wealth adviser put it, just hiring a woman these days is “an unknown risk.” What if she took something he said the wrong way?

Across Wall Street, men are adopting controversial strategies for the #MeToo era and, in the process, making life even harder for women.

Call it the Pence Effect, after U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, who has said he avoids dining alone with any woman other than his wife. In finance, the overarching impact can be, in essence, gender segregation.

Interviews with more than 30 senior executives suggest many are spooked by #MeToo and struggling to cope. “It’s creating a sense of walking on eggshells,” said David Bahnsen, a former managing director at Morgan Stanley who’s now an independent adviser overseeing more than $1.5 billion.

This is hardly a single-industry phenomenon, as men across the country check their behavior at work, to protect themselves in the face of what they consider unreasonable political correctness -- or to simply do the right thing. The upshot is forceful on Wall Street, where women are scarce in the upper ranks. The industry has also long nurtured a culture that keeps harassment complaints out of the courts and public eye, and has so far avoided a mega-scandal like the one that has engulfed Harvey Weinstein.

‘Real Loss’

Now, more than a year into the #MeToo movement -- with its devastating revelations of harassment and abuse in Hollywood, Silicon Valley and beyond -- Wall Street risks becoming more of a boy’s club, rather than less of one.

“Women are grasping for ideas on how to deal with it, because it is affecting our careers,” said Karen Elinski, president of the Financial Women’s Association and a senior vice president at Wells Fargo & Co. “It’s a real loss.”

There’s a danger, too, for companies that fail to squash the isolating backlash and don’t take steps to have top managers be open about the issue and make it safe for everyone to discuss it, said Stephen Zweig, an employment attorney with FordHarrison.

“If men avoid working or traveling with women alone, or stop mentoring women for fear of being accused of sexual harassment,” he said, “those men are going to back out of a sexual harassment complaint and right into a sex discrimination complaint.”

Channeling Pence

While the new personal codes for dealing with #MeToo have only just begun to ripple, the shift is already palpable, according to the people interviewed, who declined to be named.

The changes can be subtle but insidious, with a woman, say, excluded from casual after-work drinks, leaving male colleagues to bond, or having what should be a private meeting with a boss with the door left wide open.

‘Not That Hard’

On Wall Street as elsewhere, reactions to #MeToo can smack of paranoia, particularly given the industry’s history of protecting its biggest revenue generators.

“Some men have voiced concerns to me that a false accusation is what they fear,” said Zweig, the lawyer. “These men fear what they cannot control.”

There are as many or more men who are responding in quite different ways. One, an investment adviser who manages about 100 employees, said he briefly reconsidered having one-on-one meetings with junior women. He thought about leaving his office door open, or inviting a third person into the room.

Finally, he landed on the solution: “Just try not to be an asshole.”

That’s pretty much the bottom line, said Ron Biscardi, chief executive officer of Context Capital Partners. “It’s really not that hard.”

In January, as #MeToo was gathering momentum, Biscardi did away with the late-night, open-bar gathering he’d hosted for years in his penthouse suite during Context Capital’s annual conference at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. “Given the fact that women are in the minority at our events, we want to make sure that the environment is always welcoming and comfortable. We felt that eliminating the after-party was necessary to remain consistent with that goal.”

In this charged environment, the question is how the response to #MeToo might actually end up hurting women’s progress. Given the male dominance in Wall Street’s top jobs, one of the most pressing consequences for women is the loss of male mentors who can help them climb the ladder.
