Let's see....unnamed woman, from more than a decade ago, alleges no actual rape, and has absolutely zero supporting evidence.
Yep, this one belongs in the #MeToo thread:
"The woman, a former model from Poland identified only as Jane Doe in the court papers, said that after agreeing to meet for a business lunch in 2002, Weinstein instead took her to his Soho apartment.
“…Weinstein wasted no time in aggressively and threateningly demanding sex,” the suit alleges. He told the distraught starlet that if she wanted to be an actress she had to give in to his perverted desires."

Weinstein certainly is a disgusting asshole.
But one of the main issues I have with the demonisation of Weinstein is the sheer hypocrisy of the Hollywood elite who knew about his behaviour for years and yet did nothing. For me this has ruined people like Meryl Streep (who I used to admire) forever.
How do I know everybody knew?
Because I knew, and I'm just some guy in a small town in the UK with zero connections to the industry.

I can tell the presenters agree with her (mainly), but just can't say it. Holly W feigns mild offence, but her choice to marry and have three kids (starting young) means she isn't a lefty at all.

I'm not going to join the "Fuck him" crowd we saw a lot of with Weinstein (and still do see), but there's definitely something very masochistic about men who lead these leftist parties and support these "DV" activists undermining the presumption of innocence. "It can never happen to me." Lol.

I got an explanation.
If you're a feminist harpy and you think every man is part of an omnipresent and all-powerful conspiracy called the patriarchy, and you want to get your jollies by taking one of these patriarch bastards down, you only choose targets that are 1) proximal and 2) vulnerable.
You aren't going to go after an antifragile and tough type of guy who won't only defend himself, but fuck your life up if you go after his.
You're going to go after someone who will fold easy, and give you the easy satisfaction: you're going to go after a male feminist, or at least someone on the left side of the political spectrum.

A few months ago I mocked the #MeToo movement in front of a guy I know. He defended the movement and I literally told him "yeah, well, you wait and see when you get accused of fake rape".
Sure enough, a few weeks ago a crazy chick wrote his place of work claiming that he raped her at a party. She also claimed that at the time, she was not yet 18 and it was also statutory. So, he had to talk to his work about it. The reality is, the sex was entirely consensual, however, he did treat her like shit after and was completely disrespectful in a way that was needlessly cruel. She was also lying that she was underage at the time-- I know because I banged her pretty often. I also knew she was pretty crazy. So, I let him know her DOB and hopefully that helped.
After all of that he said he still supported #MeToo. I just changed subjects because that is some crazy shit.
One thing I will say though is that fine, this #MeToo stuff is bullshit. But as men, we do have to own up to our cocks. While yes, there is a lot of nonsense and fake rape claims and hysteria-- under it, there is a valid point. For most of human history, we basically have done whatever we wanted to and with women. Maybe not all of us, but for the most part, men in power have done that. For centuries.
The PUA movement that preceded real game was all about using psychological and cultural manipulation to control women. Women have historically been shut out from nearly all positions of official power for centuries. In much of the world, they literally cannot walk alone down a street safely.
That is pretty fucked up. That does need to change and it's not about feminism, just basic human dignity.
