RE: The Altcoin (day) trading thread
Thanks bro. Researching now.

I really like GatCoin's value proposition. Loyalty reward programs are tough to pull off (because of difficult user adoption). But, this is an exciting new concept, and it could definitely take off. The founding team seems solid too, with lots of industry experience. I also see that their crowdsale starts on January 14th. Not seeing too much news coverage of GAT, so you're right that this may be a sleeper.

As for Oracles Network, I like it too. Proof of Authority will absolutely be necessary for many business and legal matters. You don't hear many people talking about this niche of smart contracts. Did this token rebrand to "POA Network"? Their website is https://poa.network/

@SamuelBRoberts Just signed up for Vice Token's e-mail list. Here's to hoping we can get in on the ICO.

Their value proposition is incredible for the adult industry.

Gems looks excellent too. They're disrupting an industry that needs decentralization (micro tasks and writing).

Thanks again for those picks. You have some real winners there.

Edit: Gems Pre-Sale and Subsequent Token Sale Timeline: Late January-Early February

I'll be doing whatever I can to grab a piece of Gems. Founded by two brothers who dropped out of Harvard. They built Gifs.com. They have advisors from Twitter and Thiel Capital. Literally a hidden gem.

Double edit: Apparently the cutoff for Gems' ICO whitelist was two days ago. Damn.

RE: The Altcoin (day) trading thread
Me and a couple other RVFers betting on Ethorse (HORSE) to do well.

It's essentially a betting platform on the eth blockchain, users wager on which cryptos from a given list will perform the best in a given period of time. It's all done through metamask and eth smart contracts so the actual process should be pretty smooth and secure.

I think it's a pretty good low-cap shitcoin bet:
- Raised only 4000 ETH (around $5 million), very low starting cap
- Actually working product on eth testnet, mainnet release this month
- 5% of the betting pool raised for each bet will go to token holders in ETH, rewards delivered on a quarterly basis.
- A state of the market whereby people are hyped about low-cap ICOs, given how well CRED and Bounty0x have performed recently.

Got a few dudes in on the ICO but I think it could be worth an early pickup on ED or Radar Relay.

Let's see what happens.

RE: The Altcoin (day) trading thread
I'm working on crunching data for coins. Both technical and engagement. Starting with AlexaRank and Reddit subscribers; will be adding other signals like GitHub activity, Twitter activity, Google Play activity, Google Trends/Yandex Trends etc.

So far the best metric to keep tabs on when looking for pumps is volume and price spikes in the 1 minute - 1 hour range. While a price going down can be predicted quite well by waning Reddit, Alexa and other engagement factors.

Here's percentage increases by time frame for one day average AlexaRank and Reddit subscriber increase/decrease:

https://ethercalc.org/axxyi8ssocsk

Current AlexaRanks and Reddit subscriber counts:

https://ethercalc.org/718a3rhcjx5r

Looking at short term increases in Reddit subs. is throwing up quite a lot of good low caps. These caught my eye:

AdShares
FlypMe
FundYourselfNow
CryptoInsight
Intelligent Trading Tech
iXledger
Quantum
HelloGold
bitJob
Dovu
MinexCoin
FidentiaX
Open Trading Network
Social <-- seems best
Neumark
Cappasity
UTRUST
Paragon

Higher caps I am looking at:

Civic
Request Net
Power Ledger?
KuCoin
Gnosis?
Golem
Kyber
Presearch (decentralised search engine)
Particle
Mysterium (decentralised VPN)

For mid caps, PART is another potential 10x.

ICOs Vice Token if you can get into it. Gems is another one that'll be hard to get into but rewarding.

XMR is undervalued at its marketcap given how much people use it compared to other stuff.

For an ICO like GAT, how much gas will you be using to send your ETH for the token sale?

Sorry, disregard what I wrote.

This is what is listed on the GATCOIN website:

What crypto-currencies are accepted in the sale?
ETH only. However, if you would like to contribute in BTC, you may do so through Coss.io

Yea I invested in ZRX on the ICO at 5 cents. It’s a platform protocol that can be used to exchange ERC20 tokens. Radar Relay is built using ZRX as well as Ethfinex. It’s a good buy. It was also a good comeup for me.

GAT will have a trading promo on COSS as well, though I'm unsure what the format will be.

I like GAT a lot.
I'm in VICE too.

Don't know the other two.

I'd be pretty skeptical about it's chances long term.

Ardor is now trading again on Bittrex, after tokens being locked for 18 days.

Also just today, it is now trading on Upbit, the biggest korean exchange. It also has a fiat pairing there, which apparently is a huge deal.

Expect a big rise in the coming weeks.

Stocked up on some very cheap XLM during that 'crash'. Will be a good long term hold. If you knew what to do there were some good sales, especially on REQ and NEO.

doubled down on ICX during the crash but would've been better in REQ so far. I had predicted a possible dump on friday for REQ after the biweekly update will likely underperform.

Also kinda hoping since the main-net is a week away now that Teeka will make it todays PBC pick (he picked NEO which was Chinese ETH so why not Korean ETH Big Grin ).

I doubled down on REQ, DBC, and PRL during that crash. REQ is already back in the green for me.

Sold XLM after the roadmap release, was a good trade.

Took solid positions in INT and ITC some weeks ago which have been treating me well. Besides that remaining liquid as I think BTC is going to push alts lower but also moving stack over to ETH, think we'll see it go up a lot in the next weeks. ETH going up from the past means good news for alts, as they follow not much after.

I'm mostly doing ICOs and taking trades my friends suggest to me right now.

Nothing looks that great. At least BTC is recovering...
