As the thread title says, I'm looking for a pair of mid-rise compression shorts for running, going to the gym, etc. Something to keep my guys in place and to stay dry at the same time. I would be wearing these under running shorts rather than on their own.

I was using Nike Pro before, which did the trick, but the thing I didn't like about them was that the rise was so high that the waistband ended up right on or above my belly button. I had to fold the waistband down to avoid looking/feeling like Urkel.

I was thinking of getting Soffe's compression shorts. But if there are any better ones out there, I'm all ears. Recommendations welcome. Thanks.

I use vale tudo fight shorts. Jaco use to make really good ones but they're out of business now. I liked them because they were just plain black so I could wear them on their own. Most vale tudo fight shorts have stupid designs on them.
