The more I see this the more I agree, I know Spain very well, even some friends I have there are classic gov't dependent types (academia or otherwise) due to the lack of free market economy and 20-30% unemployment they've had for years. You'd think the Spanish as you state would be more historically aware, and they are, but when push comes to shove it seems to me that the leftists socialist Euro experiment and sellout of nationalism has really overcome any understanding of what's true, good, or noble. I surmise that this is really owing to the fact that these people gave up their faith in the one true God for the earthly kingdom promised by socialized central governments, and they are paying for it now. Heck, even the Greeks who are much more non-PC and closer to Ottoman occupation are strung up by the balls (or everyone left in the last century). They also have lost their faith, it is truly a commonality. Lose faith, lose traditional living, substitute it with an idol dependent on an economic model of bringing in barbaric migrants to do cheap labor ... lose your country. This is so obvious but the deluded still believe in these experiments we tried but failed, and it's obvious in America, so what can you say about them across the pond? They're really fucked, in reality and in the head.

Bad optics for the goat-fuckers.

I have a question though. I had a Spanish class recently and the professor alluded that Spanish culture is more degenerate than that of the even the US. It claimed they drink all summer at clubs, lazy, most are unemployed leeching off big government, drug use, etc. Has anyone found that to be true? I could see goat-fuckers being triggered for that reason alone.

It's the laws, policies and mentalities that have to change. Erecting barricades is a sign of defeat and weakness, admitting that attacks like this are going to happen and that the people of the city have to adapt and change to match the threat posed by these monsters. Any immigrant fortunate enough to be allowed to settle in Europe have to adapt the nation that they are in, they adjust to their host, not the other way around.

The drug use is very extended but I would daresay it is no more nor less than in the USA. Perhaps it is less concealed and has certainly been reinforced by the influx of party tourism.
As for society, Spaniards in general are not very different from other southern European and/or Mediterranean cultures. When compared to a northern culture they would seem more bland and lazy but then again, big historical climate difference.

Note that is a very broad generalization, as many parts of Spain retain their own culture and language.

The irony is that many locals have been complaining of the high number of tourists pricing them out of the city, numbers which will most likely go down now. People seem to love or hate Barcelona but it is a world class city with the beach being a big draw. I've noticed over the last few months more waking up here due to these attacks across Europe but it is too little too late for the mainland Europe/Londonstan.

YES, I live in Spain. About half are the most hard working and decent people you will ever meet. The other half is composed of perraflautas, antifacistas, feministas, jipis, pasotas, canis (gypsies), lolailos, and macarras (strange mix of punks and graffiti artists). They all share one thing which is that they live off the dole and spend most of their time despising or bad mouthing the Spanish government. Come to think about it, Spain is quite a bit like Greece in that half the population doesn't work and the other works for the government (kind of).

I have never seen such self entitled people in my entire life. Completely addicted and dependent on their hyper-socialist government. Not an ambitious bone in their body and they are perfectly happy to live our their lives in mediocracy and poverty. Never have set foot outside of Spain, I'm not kidding, they will perhaps spend a weekend in Portugal or perhaps in Southern France, but at the same time they think that they have a full grasp on geo-politics and that some form of communism would solve all their perceived problems.

Oh and the women are either self entitled hyper bitches, or full blown feministas. Some are visually stunning actually, so it's a shame. Not sure what happened here but on the surface is such an awesome country but if you scratch below the surface you find a lot of problems.

I could go on but I guess you get the general ideas. Spain is full of self entitled losers, sometimes it's too much too bear.
