RE: Red Pill Movies
BELGICA

This movie is about two brothers who start a nightclub "Belgica". The older alpha brother Frank is flashy, macho, gutsy, married with a kid and a bit dim; the younger beta brother Jo is introvert, serious, conscientious and a bit shy because he's got a bad eye.

During the rise of the nightclub Frank loses himself in coke, chicks and all the other seductions of the nightlife. Jo slowly becomes a better man, especially after he sees his brother slipping away and his girlfriend starts getting more bitchy. After he tries to weasel himself out of the club contract, he puts his cokehead incompetent brother in an even worse place; he then also tries to get his bitchy girlfriend back whom he had dumped after a she had an abortion he didn't support. But she refuses him. He then realizes his former girlfriend had never been worth the time or effort.

This pivotal moment is when Jo does a 180. He now takes full control of his destiny and decides not to quit but to buy out Frank instead. At first, this is much to Frank's chagrin, but Frank soon learns it is for the best. Jo then tells Frank he isn't a loser and implicitly acknowledges how he was essential to the club's success, despite his mistakes. At the end of the movie, Jo is shown to be the owner of Belgica, which has grown into an even bigger success. Frank is back with his family.

Jo grew from a lesser beta into a greater alpha, while the lesser alpha Frank turned into a provider beta. I love how this movie shows the pitfalls of success and how intelligence and an agentic frame of mind are the strongest assets in this world. The displayed brotherly loyalty is also very convincingly acted.

Highly recommended.

Most classic westerns are Red Pill. The recent Revenant movie in fact is surprisingly Red Pill for Hollywood… It's notoriously hard for any screenplay to go from a spec to a green light without plenty of revisions essentially editing out most red pill themes unless they are very well hidden.

RE: Red Pill Movies
Just watched Crazy Stupid Love. Really enjoyed the first half. Gosling's character spits good game and dresses impeccably, both in suits and casual. Runs direct, tall, good-looking rich guy game though that won't work for everyone. More people will relate to Carrell's character who undergoes a good transformation before he predictably runs back to his wife. Although it was cool how she cheats on him first and then loses her shit when he starts banging all these hotties after they're separated. Second half is every other chick flick. Still worth watching though.

For those who have seen it: How would you have handled the parent/teacher interview scenario?

It's painful to watch what some of these omegas go through to find a woman and expect everything to work out with minimal real effort and numerous, constant negative signals from the woman. I recommend the film but be prepared for a punch to the gut and a reaffirmation of the red pill.

After seeing this post I went ahead and checked the movie out on Netflix tonight. BRUTAL. You weren't kidding, I couldn't believe a few of these guys. No spoilers, but hearing one woman in particular rationalize herself and her actions was just gut wrenching.

If anyone here has any friends who feel foreign brides from websites are their ultimate salvation, you need to force this documentary on them. Yeesh.

I watched this last night. That was a pathetic group of guys... except the older and fairly good looking guy who kept himself in shape (who seemed to be the smartest bunch with a bit of game, and ended up dating a woman in his own town).

We don't need to pay $12,000 to go on a tour that consists of three night clubs in three towns. We can do that on our own for 1/10th of the price.

Don't want to spoil this too much, but at the very end there was one couple who ended up having a baby... only the baby did not look like the father!

I just watched Deadpool yesterday, probably the best super hero movie I've seen. If you can get past the gay little love story then it is pretty red pill. Definitely worth watching at least.

Not the greatest piece of cinema but this movie has lots of good red pill wisdom.

1. Vince Vaughn is a good example of a quality friend and wingman. Always looking out for his buddy when he's down.

2. The beta dude who eventually gets over his ex. You want to chest bump him when she finally calls him and he brushes her off.

3. Throughout the movie his friends keep telling him "you're so money and you don't even know it!" I think a lot of guys here could relate to that. If you apply the advice here at RVF and start self-improving you quickly surpass the other guys around you. But all the talk here of people swooping 9's all over the world sometimes makes you feel under accomplished. Need to snap out of it and remember even though you're not an RVF stud you're still miles beyond the random guy on the street. Good reminder to look at your strengths and not sell yourself short. Approach!

Undoubtedly Closer. I've watched the movie several times.

Every line is cynical, every scene has a point. I always wondered why it doesn't have a higher review on Netflix, until I went and saw the comments that so many people rated it low because : "Too much profanity and too many despicable characters. The movie didn't make me feel good."

If you haven't watched, it's a must do. Clive Owen's character especially is brilliant. If I recall correctly both him and Portman won GG for their roles, and were nominated for the Oscars.

A very underrated actor. Have seen him play a number of alpha roles and each time he comes off very convincing suggesting he's something of an alpha himself in real life.
He's particularly Machiavellian in 'Closer', extremely dark triad, Owen completely nails the character, a brilliant performance.

Has anyone seen "the survivalist" yet?
IF its not red pill, its pretty damn gruesome as to how primal nature is concerned, particularly when it comes to survival, and the nature of females....

We move between light and shadow, mutually influencing and being influenced through shades of gray...

Btw its quite bleak.
Actually i think its red pill as hell, the character pays the price for letting his guard down and though survival continues to be his main concern, when it comes to his own and, well, the rest is spoilers

Conan The Barbarian

What is best in life?

"To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their women"

One of the most badass movies ever. All Conan does is kill betas, drink mead, KO camels, and fuck hot chicks.

RE: Red Pill Movies
I watched Peter Pan last night with my daughter for the first time in a long time. Walt Disney got it. Watch how Peter Pan interacts with Wendy; the way he talks to her and moves her around. Watch Tinkerbell's reactions to another female. A lot of wisdom hidden in these old films.

Another clip has a pool of mermaids excited to see the IDGAF Peter Pan return. Their reaction to Wendy is the same as Tinkerbell's.

I'm going to have to sit down one night and watch all of these old movies through a red pill lens. Can anyone else think of any examples from old cartoons?[/align]

All spaghetti westerns I would say. Look at how the cowboys treat women. Their view of reality is the only valid and frame controll is totally natural for them. I would recommend once upon a time in the West.

I felt a little stab too. I actually rewinded and watched the ending a couple more times. I couldn't believe they'd end it that way.

I read that some guy wants to do a modern remake. I really hope he does, and if he does I really hope he doesn't fuck it up and pussify it.

Brooklyn
Just saw last year's Brooklyn, which was nominated for Best Picture and Best Actress. Deservedly so, as it was an excellent movie that managed to be generally conservative, pro-American, and a bit "red pill."

The interesting thing about it is that a presents a strong, independent woman yet is anti-feminist. Eilis is probably the kind of woman that most RVF members would like to marry. She is Irish, and chooses to immigrate to America for a better life. She starts to work in a department store but goes to college to become an accountant. She is intelligent, quietly self-confident, and likable.

[Spoilers]

Set in the 1950s, Eilis overcomes her homesickness in New York by finding a man, a solid blue-collar immigrant (or perhaps he's a second-generation American) who, despite acknowledging his intellectual shortcomings, is entrepreneurial and strong. Eilis rejects the cattiness of her bitchy Irish roommates and longs for Tony's sweet company. (His initial pursuit is a bet beta, but probably a fair reflection of the times, and, as the story progresses, he shows guts in getting what he wants).

On a visit back to Ireland, she is wooed by the dashing local gentleman from an elite family, and is considering succumbing to the traps laid by her whole village to keep her back there, but she changes her mind when she is reminded again of the provincial mindset of the schoolmarmish bitches whom she wanted to escape to begin with.

This is a story of homesickness overcome by independent-spirited assimilation into the American dream. Eilis eschews the Irish scene in New York for American movies, baseball, Italian food, and generally spreading her wings. She adopts a can-do attitude to take advantage of American modernity with support from her landlord, her boss, and the church, but mostly from her boyfriend.

The movie also benefits from comic relief and great performances by minor characters, especially the landlord Mrs. Kehoe (Julie Walters), Father Flood (Hugh Gormley), and Tony's little brother -- who is also a symbol of upward mobility in America made possible by a good attitude and hard work.

I may be a bit off topic, but I also feel like the first season of Mad Men (FIRST only) shows an interesting portrayal. There's a lot of subtle game shown in the character's interactions with other and in particular coming from how Draper uses his good listening skills to his advantage.

30 Rock also surprised me in it's first few seasons before it stops being funny, especially being a Tina Fey program. The show pokes a lot of harsh fun at emotionally dysfunctional "career women" with repeated jokes about how Tina Fey's character is hitting the wall, and a constant stream of Red Pill wisdom (delivered tongue in cheek admittedly) from Alec Baldwin's character.
