Thanks for the inputs, what do you guys think about Clapham? It is 25-30 min from Canary wharf and seemed cool when I walked there on a saturday afternoon. Been also around Angel and it seemed cool as well.

I have been reading other threads related to London and most of the guys agree that it is a difficult city for a newcomer.
I'll give it the time and will try to build a social circle when I'm back in 2 weeks.

I am far from being nationalist, I actually dont give a shit when people start bitching on the french, I m french and I love France but there are many things I dont like about France and the typical french mentality.
Basically You have the right to think wathever you want about any nationality but answering with "you are french so go there and don't go there it's not for you" Wihout any argument or explanation, that's what I called pathetic.

Do you expect all representant of a country to think and behave the same way? Come on!!

Allright, Let's focus on the positive here as I think it's a pure waste of time and energy to argue on internet for such stupid things and you don't seem to be a bad guy otherwise you wouldn't bother to answer I guess ?

I think the choice between CW or somewhere else depends on whether the convenience of being close to work outweighs the lack of a decent social life outside of it (at least in terms of a local one anyway).

I tend to agree with the posts about the quality of local women (or lack thereof) and their perceptions of themselves.

I lived in S. London (Balham to be precise which is just south of Clapham) for many years and found that there was a fairly good mix of women (not just locals). In terms of attractiveness the typical English girl is not much to write home about but there are exceptions.

Clapham and Balham have a good vibe with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. I wouldn't say there is much going for it as far as nightclubs are concerned but that has never been my thing anyway.

Before I moved away I used to go to hot yoga after work in Balham. Each class had at least half a dozen if not more 7.5-8/10 women all of whom seemed to be happy to chat before and socialise after class.

You also have a fairly big Antipodean (Aussie and Kiwi) and South African communities (albeit that they seemed to be more in the direction of Putney) in South London. May not be your thing and they tend to exhibit similar traits to the locals but at the very least the ones I knew tended to be a cut above.

Key from my point of view is close proximity to the underground. So wherever you end up make sure you are no more than 5-10 minutes from a station ... purely from a logistics point of view.

To be honest average french people annoy me when they are abroad, I travelled a lot solo and french were probably the worst to socialize with, except the ones who travelled a lot or live abroad.

I'm late thirties and have been living in London for seven years. I love it and hate it. I don't know what experience you have living in very big cities, but London is a beast. I agree with Apolis London is well and truly the best and worst of places. Sometimes you can ride the wave and get 2-3 notches a week other times you'll be stuck on long dry spells.

To Apolis' point i think he may be right about CW but I think every time I've been there after 7 on a weeknight or weekend the place has looked like the aftermath of a zombie movie I.e no soul, no character, thats just me.

I've had a decent time in London since i've came back for work. Location is everything though and you need to be earning at least £35K a year or over to live well. To meet girls, it is always a good idea to head towards the upmarket bars and pubs in places like Clapham, Greenwich, Islington. I would generally avoid English girls and look out for European students. Lets put it this way, you can have a really good time in London, even though I know the city like the back of my hand, I am always taken off guard by how new blood in the city keep it new.

It is defiantly a tough place to game, most guys here just fall into an abyss and get depressed. It's the reason why the escort scene is massive here. Other ones rise to the top and then eventually realise they could do better elsewhere and finally leave. Aside from girls though, there are tons of international companies that can lead to opportunities over seas. Even in the public sector, you will have a good base to get started from that can lead into other areas.

Alternatively I would suggest on guys investing on taking mini breaks abroad, it's the best city to do that from, as flights are cheap and it will probably end up costing the same as a night out would be.

You can score any moment in London, but some periods are better than others. December must be the worst month of the year, statistically. I would not rely on tourists to bang and the cool Londoners are out of town.

I'll have to find my niche, when I was working in Amsterdam dutch girls had terrible attitudes but the ones with indonesian or carribean background were way nicer and cuter so it was ok. Sweden regarding women was very satisfying, very confusing the first month but once I adjusted my game it was easy, in Germany I was in a shithole so I was heading to Berlin almost every weekend and pulling girls was also not difficult after some adjustments.

Logistics and cost of life seem to be the main problems in London, I'll give it a chance and hopefully I'll manage to survive in that jungle.

1 question though, is there a shopping area where we can find beautiful black/mixed girls or even latina? I went to Brixton and there were plenty of black chicks but the quality was really low compared to the gorgeous black chicks we see in Paris, many of them seemed ghetto.
I heard Elephant and Castle is where many latino people live but I never been there, would it be a good sport for daygaming latina?

Not sure whether you should be that depressed. There are hot women (some have attitudes) but it sounds like you've got a story to tell and some experience so you have chance to break down their bitch shields (or better yet break into a social circle or two).

Brixton is pretty ghetto albeit that there is a growing hipster crowd and the market has been revamped over the past few years with indepedent cafes and restaurants (so the scene is changing somewhat from a predominantly black community to a more multi cultural one).

Not sure I'd necessarily agree that E&C is where you'll find latinas. You're probably better off checking out some of the popular Salsa venues (around London) assuming you can dance or are prepared to give it a go.
