I guess I'm done with Doctor Who. I stopped watching it about 2 years and I won't be watching the female Doctor

They've made a big mistake. Missy only worked because she channeled Mary Poppins and Gomez had a great dynamic with Coleman and Capaldi.

A female Doctor is just tokenism.

If they really wanted to get Diversity™ and talent in the same package, then Patterson Joseph would have been perfect.

He's got the perfect balance of manic enthusiasm, intelligence and creepy alienness. He's younger than Capaldi and probably would fit in their budget.

I think Eccleston had the best Dr. Who of the new series. I liked Capaldi for his dry delivery and staunch demeanor, but I gave up watching the show a long time ago. There were too many moments when the writing and dialogue either came off as overly convoluted and confusing, or just straight up bad.

Franchise that sell out to SJW will die not with a bang, but with a whimper.

That would just complete her. I mean, Miss Marple is already an insufferable Mary Sue character - she never has to lift a finger to investigate the scene or question suspects or witnesses, she just sits and knits. Before her doting visitors have even finished relaying the latest unsolvable mystery to her, she's already divined the truth, which was of course the most obvious thing in the world to her.

Your modern version would knock out the mystery-of-the-week in minutes, leaving plenty of time for gratuitous SJW propagandizing. And Doritos.

Look guys. Guys.
It's obvious why they went with a female Doctor Who.

They only have to pay her .77c in the $... Laugh

RE: Doctor Who Gets First Openly Gay Companion
Sad, but like others said the writing was on the wall when they had the Master regenerate into a girl. I remember there was some talk of them casting a female doctor before Capaldi was cast as the twelfth doctor. But the writing had been going down hill the last few seasons anyway. If you like sci-fi with a slice of cheese and a British touch you can't go wrong with the Eccleston or Tennant seasons and the first season with Matt Smith. Smith was actually my favorite doctor, but after his first season the writing quality took a hit and I eventually tuned out after a season of Capaldi. Moffat was splitting time on the show with his work on Sherlock and I think its safe to say it affected his Doctor Who scripts.

I'll probably check out the first episode just to see how much they jump the shark and push the feminazi agenda, but tuning in weekly to watch the adventures of the female doctor and her new ham-beast companion...this might be the end of the show if the young liberal girls don't eat this shit up.
