The Cleveland Clinic said in its statement that it became aware of the social media posts by Lara Kollab, 27, who worked at the clinic from July to September 2018, and that her beliefs conflicted with those of the clinic. The hospital did not state, however, whether Kollab had been let go as a direct result of her tweets.

Kollab had a history of making violently anti-Semitic comments on social media. An online compilation of Kollab’s tweets showed she often referred to Jews as “dogs,” invoked Allah to kill them, and denigrated both Israel and the U.S. (RELATED: New York Times Publishes Author’s Recommendation For An Anti-Semitic Book By Known Conspiracy Theorist)

“Cleveland Clinic was recently made aware of comments posted to social media by a former employee,” the hospital’s Monday statement reads.

“This individual was employed as a supervised resident at our hospital from July to September 2018. She is no longer working at Cleveland Clinic. In no way do these beliefs reflect those of our organization. We fully embrace diversity, inclusion and a culture of safety and respect across our entire health system,” the statement adds.

Kollab since deleted her tweets, but Canary Mission, a website devoted to exposing those who openly support antisemitism or terrorist organizations, compiled, translated and took screenshots of some of them. They show calls for violence against the Jews, claims that the Holocaust is exaggerated, and open support for terrorists.

She also reportedly tweeted in praise of terrorists like Khader Adnan, a senior member of Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

“#KhaderAdnan is dying so we can live. #Palestine #KhaderExists,” Kollab wrote.

Kollab also expressed support for the the Palestine Right to Return Coalition and the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement against Israeli businesses.

Strangely, Kollab graduated from Touro College Of Osteopathic Medicine with a D.O. in 2018, which is an expressly Jewish Orthodox institution.

While Kollab is no longer employed at the hospital, her medical license is still active until 2021, according to Cleveland 19 News.

I don't know...on the one hand, I can chalk that up to being young and stupid like a college baseball player saying "ha ha I hate fags, amirite?" and then they ruin his life 9 years later.

But on the other hand...radical Muslims scare the shit outta me, and being a doctor with people's lives in your hands is a big difference from a comedian or athlete that can't hurt anybody.

I'd err on the side of caution and make sure this chick is never in a position where people's lives or health are in her hands.

Her statements are inconsistent with the Geneva Oath (which replaced the Hippocratic Oath) that all docs swear on graduation from med school.

Statements like hers, if allowed to slide by, hurt the practice of medicine and reduce faith in the good will of physicians. Docs generally appreciate that they have a fiduciary duty act in the patient's interest at all times.

The father of modern neurology, Jean Martin Charcot avoided the axe when different political winds blew through France by maintaining that his only enemy was disease, and he would treat anyone who walked through the door regardless.

The offending tweet is from 2012, and the Dr in question was only a resident, basically a student still in training. This looks like more “Smite the Rando.”

It’s probably not a coincidence that the antisemetic doctor went to the orthodox Jewish school. She probably didn’t have a positive experience there.

Most of her ‘offending’ tweets are healthy expressions of support for her people, but her people are not Americans. I don’t think the country should throw away all of that training (access to patients to train on is a limited resource) on the expectation that an Arab wolnt act like an Arab.

But joking about intentional bad care is too much. Even if this doctor is allowed to practice, every patient with a bad result and a lawyer is going to dredge up this old tweet, sue her, and collect.

I'm in favor of taking away her medical license. Professional societies can pull a license for violation of ethical rules. According to the article she still has a medical license. This has nothing to do with politics or who she threatened. There are periodically stories of nurses who kill patients. Anyone is vulnerable to this type of criminality. A doctor who doesn't like you could easily kill you or cripple you for life (Ronald Reagan actually starred in a movie with this theme). It is also informative that Twitter allowed posts which may be criminal assault (she was stating something she was capable of doing) and they do nothing, but they delete a conservative for just expressing his opinion.

Seriously, I would not take her license because the tweets are from when she was 20-21 years old. I would feel the same way if a white Male resident made some anti-Black jokes when he was 20-21. 7-8 ago years is a long time to hold someone accountable for some dumb statements made in their youth.

Also, she is a hot doctor and I hope she gets a new residency in a hospital where I am- Google imaged her and she is hot from every angle.

She didn't get fired for disliking Jews or saying nasty things about Jews. She said she would give Jews the wrong medicine , potentially killing patients . The chick is stupid anyway , she chose to attend an orthodox Jewish University then ranted on twitter that she hates being around Israel supporters all day . She should have attended a Muslim University where she could learn all about the Muslim contributions to art , science, medicine, technology , transportation and physics over the last 100 years. Its really easy its a 20 minute course including the coffee break.
