Map is 10 years old but is fairly accurate. Outside DC, which had the highest number of gun deaths that year, the states with the most gun violence were Alaska, Louisiana, and Mississippi. I should mention that this map includes ALL gun violence: accidental shootings, suicides, and self-defense.

Not to mention Columbine, Sandy Hook, Aurora etc. But wait I know "If only those places allowed people to carry guns!"
