Growing up, my brothers said that it's gay for a man to cross his legs like this.



Guys, what do you think when you see man cross his legs like this? I personally can't do it if I try. I don't think I ever could because obviously my manly organs get in the way.

I understand why women cross their legs like this. It's basically saying that "my pussy is closed." They do it more often when wearing dresses, but I've seen them do it wearing jeans as well.

Not really. This is mostly a Western thing I think, where guys are very insecure and are always conscious about acting or looking "gay".

If you're slim it's actually more comfortable to sit with your legs crossed as opposed to having them spread out.

I literally can't physically sit like the guy on the right, it's not even a "that's gay" thing. Legs just don't fit together like that and everything is squished. When I cross legs, I do it like Obama on the left

Whenever someone is obsessed with not looking gay, then I tend to think he may have the gay gene and is overcompensating. If one has to try to not look gay, then one may have a few gay issues to sort out.

Sometimes I drink beer this way. If someone thinks it looks fag, I find it entertaining. I'll just laugh at you and your boyfriend and keep drinking.


There's nothing about me that exudes gayness, no matter if I drink beer with my pinky out whilst sitting with my legs crossed. If someone points out that it looks gay, then perhaps he's trying to start up a discussion to figure out if I'd be willing to bone him later?

You need to be in at least business casual, preferably suited, for that sitting position to look acceptable... it can even look "cool".

Men sit like that all the time in corporate settings, from entry-level to execs.

If Draper or DiCaprio were in jeans (or God forbid, shorts) they'd look like fruits sitting like that.

I agree. Those who are quickest to call something gay are the ones who have most to hide.

Since we're on topic, I wonder why men in the west are scared to shower naked in changing rooms. There are often private cubicles at modern gyms, even blinders between urinals, so you can hide your little dick.

I can confirm as a skinny guy it doesn't hurt at all to cross my legs.

The annoying thing would be the raised foot/lower leg, which I'd rather have on the ground.

Guys in the city are going to cross legs a lot more. Bus. Train. Crowded waiting room. I think there's simply an issue of space a lot of the time and it becomes a habit, but you never see it in the country.

Who knows maybe DiCaprio and Pacino are trying to hide boners. I had a few teachers in high school that made adopting the crossed leg a necessity.

This is one of those times where it's reading way too much into bodylanguage trying to find meaning when there is one.

Using movies or posed photographs is a bad example, these should not be used for examples as these are forced positions instructed for them to do, use candid examples of men just in business or casual settings.

I find that when you deal with more "refined" people, or rich assholes, they sit with legs crossed. Politicians get conditioned and trained, aka nutrued to talk, act, and sit, a certain way. But then, also faggy hairdressers sit with theer legs crossed as well so I have no idea if it is class thing, or a nurture thing.

I do not find it comfy to sit with the legs crossed in the "nutured" position. I can do this style as I do find it comfy:


Very little argument for why men should sit with the legs crossed like the females do, as are physiology is different from women, and most men just don't find it comfy. Maybe if you are lanky with long legs you can do it, but I find it is a forced action that you must force the male frame to adjust to.

I thought the whole idea to sit was to be comfy? I don't get why men would choose to sit like that if they don't find it comfy?

I can forgive very small and minimal tattoos, typically they mean something for the lady, so I can't really hate. Plus that tattoo is only visible with her foot exposed. I prefer that if there is any ink it is hidden, small, tasteful.

One girl I know got her parents mariage rings tatooed behind her ears. that type of stuff I don't mind. Obviously her parents mean alot ot her, I respect that.

Plus a foot tattoo is low key her braging she likes pain. Apprently that is a painful spot to get inked, so she must like it rough in bed.
