This video was on my facebook page, shared between some of my friends. Cute comments, "awh's" from girls, and what would be traditionally expected. Even the tagline of the video hints at a happy ending.

I'm not going to say I'm a mastermind at reading between the lines. I didn't see what I saw in later viewings the first time. But as with all public marriage proposals, I'm always skeptical about what's really going on. For the sake of this discussion, let's assume it's real.

One comment I read that prompted me to watch it once more made a note of how long it took her to say yes. It's almost as if she hesitates with her "omg!'s" while she thinks over the decision at a quick speed.

I watched it again.

Notice how she tries to inch back while on her knees. She hits the cage. She then gets up and tries to turn away, only to be blocked by it again.

It seems that such trivial detail like a coincidental physical barrier revealed everything the viewer needs to know about where this relationship is going.

These are just my thoughts. Feel free to share yours.

If you are a high value man, you inherently know you are the prize. Committing to a women is a huge burden to a man - she should be grateful that you chose her over the competition. Should she not be proposing to you?

That's why it's the man who proposes.

Women put themselves out there, making sure that the guys whom they fancy can see them, and they stick around long enough for the man to approach. The second stage, dating, they put their personality on display, until the man finally decides to seal the deal.

"Will you marry me?" is a formality; a red blooded man already knows the answer, he just wants to hear her say it.

I also have my concerns about her body language, but what concerns me even more is how she's okay with being filmed randomly. Do people really make video tapes of themselves buying dogs? I don't get it.

The guy is above her in terms of looks. She, while not ugly is a basic looking bit girl.

One thing he does right is stand up as she stands up - not kneeling from below. Anyway proposing is still beta. Wasting money on engagement ring is a waste.

I hated the girls reaction - If I were to propose to a woman (I would never trough) I would retract my proposal the second girl freezes up and shakes like an epileptic, looks ugly as hell crying and blocks her mouth. If this really surprises her so much it means it never crossed her own mind. She has never thought of her as settling and she hasn't even imagined how it would be that she gets proposed and how would she react. She looked scared as fuck and only said yes once her ego kicked in and she imagined how she brags to her girlfriends and cash and prices she would win after divorce, but her first thoughts was getting scared of missing carousel rides and being stuck with this beta guy in a dog fence forever, a disgusting sight.

I assume the guy arranged a friend tagging along to film the proposal in which he imagined the girl would look more dignified and would say yes faster and with more enthusiasm.

Ah definitely not wife material, definitely not. Its a shame as its not the man's fault so much. Even if he did hold strong frame kept on that path of self improvement she will still eventually cheat on him or shit test him into an oblivion, she has just gone past the point of no return. The girls I date end up asking me what they should wear. That's how it should work, until they "get it" or were already there (or better yet are sending you pictures asking which is better). If she was dressing like this when first met her, sure ok. But after 4 years? Man needs game.
