The same thing was happening in USSR in the 1920s. And even when easy divorce was rescinded, the women still thought "1 kid, maybe 2 and no more, I'm not a country cow".

Just mimicking / mocking your typical college useless idiot who thinks socialism hasn't been implemented properly.

If it were me in the position, I'd sit them down and tell them this:

Do you really want to increase fertility?

Do you really want to make the country welcoming for families, motherhood, and fatherhood?

Or are you just putzing around?

If the answer is yes, then I'd suggest:

1. Direct the film and television industry to stop tolerating obesity and social justice warrior talking points. Procreation begins with attraction. And attraction is not helped by the current cultural climate.

2. Take immediate action (banning toxins, plastics, etc) to reverse declining sperm counts in men and male infertility.

3. Establish major tax breaks for those with children.

4. Start portraying men and fatherhood favorably in the media instead of constantly shaming, berating, and attacking us. Men need to feel that that they are valued and appreciated. If they sense they aren't, they will opt out.

5. Establish a cultural climate where healthy traditionalist lifestyles and philosophies are favored, and depraved, degenerate philosophies are shunned.

They are now realizing the damage that has been done to them for the past 40 years. They tossed out centuries of tradition and replaced them with modernist nihilism and sterility. So this is what happens.

+1. This post is "put it on the fridge" quality! Well done, sir!!!

This is true. You can't just add 'fertility' onto the current culture climate in Spain (or much of the West). You have to have an ideological and/or cultural setting which would naturally bring about an increase in fertility.

'Tax cuts for families' doesn't quite get there... How about open shame and penalties for obese women? Penalties for childless women over 35? Loans to engaged couples that are forgiven in stages upon the birth of their first and second children? A healthy nationalism which favors native Spaniards over imported immigrants?

I wish people all over Europe would understand how quickly you can turn around the birth rate problem if you just have a strong national conscience. (The word 'national' by the way, coming from 'natio-' root meaning related to birth.)

Opus Dei is a kind of masonic organization inside the Catholic Church. These people are often well connected in business and politics life. I worked for one of these families. Dont see the connection with having a lot of kids though.

I know one Opus Dei family with 13 kids. Yes, 13.

Opus Dei is, in some ways, the most red pill faction of Catholicism:
  • Their women are taught to be chaste, submissive, to see childbirth as the greatest achievement, to serve their man, to feed him well, and to stay pretty to keep him motivated in making money.
  • Their men are taught to be dominant and find ways of making money, lots of money, because having 5+ kids ain't cheap.

Think of Catholic empires being reborn via business, rather than old school colonization. Opus Dei owns business schools in Spain for a reason. Banco Santander, the biggest commercial bank in the EU, is (was?) ruled by Opus Dei people.

Feminism vilifies the traditional role of women as dedicated wives and mothers. Without changing that, men aren't going to want marriage and children. Government can't fix that problem without making a major stand against feminist indoctrination.

The solution they'll try is to further shame men for not "stepping up and being real men" by starting a family.

Women are children who don't know what they want, don't know what is good for them and, yet, have too much of an ego to be bossed by men.

From the article -

Quote: The author claims the book is based on the teachings of St Paul and that a perfect wife should be submissive.

"It's true, you're not yet an experienced cook or a perfect housewife," she writes. "What's the problem if he tells you so? Tell him that he is right, that it's true, that you will learn. On seeing your sweetness and your humility, your effort to change, this will also change him.

A submissive wife is a happy wife because she knows that her submissive nature brings out the strength of leadership in her man. This gives her tremendous power and joy in the relationship.

That is something feminists cannot see, nor comprehend.

Can it be just a coincidence the 13 kids thing?
This one I worked for only had 2 kids, and thats all since they are both seniors. Seems a pretty normal number, even below baby-boomers average of kids per couple.

Exactly. If birth rates are to be increased, feminism must die first. But no government can do that because it would trigger major protests by women. Any political party that takes such a drastic measure would be guaranteed to lose the next elections.

Spain, a Catholic nation?

Laugh4

Spain gave up pretending to be a Catholic nation over 2 decades ago. Spain was the first large nation(over 15Million) in the world to legalize same sex marriage in 2005 and the 3rd in Europe. Other large European countries like Italy and German still don't have gay marriage as of 2017.

Topless and nude beaches everywhere, extremely liberal marijuana laws and widespread legal prostitution. Yep, very traditional catholic. You would be hard pressed to find a Spaniard under 40 who attends church regularly, even in the small cities.

(02-28-2017 04:52 AM)Khan Wrote:  - And last, but not least, nowadays there are just very few quality women left. Let's say I'm ready to settle and get married right now. How often do you meet a girl who is:

1) Good looking (let's say, 7/10) and takes care of her body;
2) Raised in a traditional family and well-mannered;
3) Mentally sane.
4) *Wants* a quality man and a family with kids in her life.

You can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit.

His points above this one are also accurate, but this right here is the POTW (post of the week), maybe post of the month.

I actually know quite a bit about Spain. I've been there many times, studied there pre-Euro, and have a friend who finally had a kid (maybe 2 now) making a go at it in a southern coastal city, but clearly with an edge and tough expectations, which are high in the modern west even if you are a mediterranean (nearly the same can be said about the greeks except their economy and country size is 1/4 of Spain). I used to think I like Spanish women (I do) but realized after going there it is far too close to the West that we dog all the time, and for the same reasons which we note above. They are like the greeks in that they are tough nosed, have a history where invaders came in and tried to set up shop, and then they were successful in expelling them from the country (took Greece a lot longer though). Both have an increasing secular anti-christian sentiment but are cognizant of a formal tradition and some idea of holiness, though they reject it. Abortions are high, fertility rate super low. I think the suffering of the Greeks will render their return to the church, because they will suffer far more than the spanish in austerity; that still remains to be seen however.

Back to Khan's final point:

There are a lot of girls that are close to what he says, but just in absolute number, and only because the USA is so big. As a percentage, which is really all that matters for any guy at large, it is exceedingly small. First of all, how many are 7s or higher? Second, how many girls are disciplined enough to keep a diet and not get crushed with freshman 15 and bury themselves before the game even starts? Next, how many rat race and drone it up with stress and increasing cynicism? Finally, if you are a 7+, there are so many garbage women around you think you're a 9/10 = attitude, not well mannered, generally speaking.

In the era of stress, bad food, and passing up the time [sweet spot] when any youthful looking girl is actually attractive (you'd bone her) regardless of objective beauty (her sweet spot ages 16-22) ... the west is lackluster.

They've been hooked on social media and think they deserve not the upper 20% but rather the upper 1-5% of males, I'm guessing. I'm late 30s and am pretty much only interested in girls 18-25 here ... and even them I hardly take seriously. They rarely believe in anything at all.

I ask myself, how would this girl improve my life? The answer, I'm still waiting ...

Chicken shit, indeed.

I was in Sevilla Holy Week 2015 and they had a televised service for Good Friday. I was watching and almost started laughing when only 20 people were in the church and 1 was under the age of 30. At least 75% were over the age of 65. It was pathetic.

But hey, they have fun smoking and drinking while the masses carry tronos around the old city during the processions!

Rather laughable to see the regressive side push secular hedonism so much.
All the while encouraging radical religious folk to enter their nations.

I'm still waiting for that to happen. I've been promised that for God only knows how long.
There was also prediction of Japan turning conservative because young people don't breed and old live long.

Yet Japan is not conservative but Poland is, and Italy is dying out with the rest of Europe.

^ yes, that's assuming that people who are born into religious families stay religious. Much of the time - not the case.
