Err... MEMA? Make Espagna Mate again?

Interesting development, but it is again an attempt to deal with effect, not the cause.

People are not having babies because socialist state made it too expensive, and omnipresent birth control along with abortion makes it easy not to. And of course, working women don't have time for kids and family anymore. Men simply don't get anything out of marriage anymore, so many don't see any reason to get married in the first place.


New ‘Sex Czar’ Charged With Making Sure Dying Nation Pumps Out Babies

The declining birthrate in Spain is one of the worst in Europe, and in 2015, the death rates surpassed birth rates for the first time ever. “We have provinces in Spain where for every baby born, more than two people die. And the ratio is moving closer to one to three,” Alejandro Macarrón, a consultant, told The Guardian in 2015.

Spanish citizens between the ages of 18-49 had an average of 1.3 children according to an October 2016 report, which is below the 1.58 average for the whole European Union. The same study also said that within 15 years, single, non-married people could make up a fifth of the countries populations.

Some experts theorize that after working long hours and late nights day, people are simply too tired to get busy. The long hours “do not help with making a family,” Rafael Puyol, professor of the IE Business School in Madrid, said. “Then a child arrives and it is even worse.”

Spain is hardly the first country to try and boost its population by encouraging lovemaking. A local politician in Sweden proposed last week that workers should get a paid hour off of work once a week to have sex.

Russia famously named September 12 a national “Day of Conception” in 2007, stressing that having babies and raising a family is part of one’s civic duty. Women who gave birth exactly nine months later could win a refrigerator.

When I had read the title, but haven't read the thread yet - I thought they have appointed a Super alpha macho male popstar to impregnate all the lonely ladies.

As stupid as that would be, that would be more effective then what they will get from some blue pill, barely WB woman, who is only likely to screw things even more in favor of women and more likely to alienate men from the idea pf parenthood even more.

Why is this position called Tsar? it would be an appropreate name for Russia or Bulgaria, but why in Spain?
Why is this "Tsar" a woman? Why not call her Tsarevna then?

What kind of fucking expert is that? Too much work?
Here's the real reason:

The official overall unemployment rate in Spain has been above 20% for at least the last 6 years.
The official youth unemployment rate is currently 43%.
Official.
The economy in general has been bad for a decade and even if people have a job, does not at all mean it's a good one.

No job, no perspective, no future.
Is it any wonder that they don't procreate?

But yeah, more central planning, more government subsidies, more socialism.
I'm sure that's the solution.

I think she's Galician, from the coastal NW of Spain, she looks like she has some celtic or viking blood (dark roots and all). I wonder if she has her own family, or if she's squandered that to be a strong and independent mujer politician leading the national family policy effort...

Of all the Catholic European countries, Spain might have been the one that's taken the hardest cultural marxist turn, especially in Catalonia and the big cities. They went from the most socially conservative country in western Europe to a much looser society, with people like Almodovar doing that work.

Almost any one of us here could do this job better than the hapless bureaucrat assigned the job.

If it were me in the position, I'd sit them down and tell them this:

Do you really want to increase fertility?

Do you really want to make the country welcoming for families, motherhood, and fatherhood?

Or are you just putzing around?





If the answer is yes, then I'd suggest:

1. Direct the film and television industry to stop tolerating obesity and social justice warrior talking points. Procreation begins with attraction. And attraction is not helped by the current cultural climate.

2. Take immediate action (banning toxins, plastics, etc) to reverse declining sperm counts in men and male infertility.

3. Establish major tax breaks for those with children.

4. Start portraying men and fatherhood favorably in the media instead of constantly shaming, berating, and attacking us. Men need to feel that that they are valued and appreciated. If they sense they aren't, they will opt out.

5. Establish a cultural climate where healthy traditionalist lifestyles and philosophies are favored, and depraved, degenerate philosophies are shunned.

They are now realizing the damage that has been done to them for the past 40 years. They tossed out centuries of tradition and replaced them with modernist nihilism and sterility. So this is what happens.

Anyone who waits around for the government to fix an endemic social problem like this is making a mistake.

The youth are doing the right thing by finding an individual solution to the problem. In this case it involves leaving Spain to build a life elsewhere until their home society collapses or improves. Waiting for the government to fix the problem will rob them of their window for creating a happy life for themselves.

The government will kick the can down the road and/or signal that they're 'busy' working on the issue (which is what they've done here). No one will be willing to do what needs to be done because of the political consequences of doing so.

6. Don't encourage women to be careerist shrikes.
The more careerist a country women are, the lower that country's fertility rate will be. The ultimate example of this is Singapore.

Corollary to all of QCs points and the above is that anti-depressant usage will massively decrease and I bet society will be friendlier overall. When you have your own kids you tend to care more about your community and your neighbors. Skin in the game.

I think a lot of Catholics are rejecting the globalist controlled and overly politicized leadership at the Vatican. Hard to take the church seriously when they have become another tool in the arsenal of the globalists in pursuit of their one world government. There have been plenty of rumors that Pope Benedict was forced to step down by the globalists.

I had some au pair friends in the mid 1990s. One of them, one day, mentioned that the unemployment rate was about 20% in her home country of Spain. When she said that my reaction was, "That can't be right, if it is was true the place would be an economic disaster." Of course, when I did look it up, I found out it was true, and I was shocked, since how can any country keep going with an unemployment rate that high?

I think the one big difference today is that Spain is one of the countries that people are expecting to default on their bonds at some point.

I'm sure the Spanish are having plenty of sex. The problem is that women have access to birth control, meaning too much alpha fucking. Take away the the birth control and make a hire-men only policy to encourage beta male labor participation and less female careerism. Problem solved, no czar needed.

Some thoughts on this:

- To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, the government is not the solution to the problem, the government is a major part of the problem and no amount of bureaucrat engineering is going to help.

- I'd like to emphasize that the economy is not the reason people are not marrying and having kids. At least not directly. I mean, 100 years ago the standard of living was crap compared to modern times, yet people were marrying and having kids in greater numbers. The true reason for this is the broken sexual marketplace, where alphas take the lion's share of sex while betas get nothing, and where women in increasing numbers don't want to marry and have kids.

- I could name a few guys I know who would be more than happy to marry and have kids, but they're totally clueless with women in the first place. I'd speculate up to 50% of today's young men belong to this group. They either live in some kind of celibacy, or they wife up the first half-ugly broad who wants them.

- There's also the problem of the modern way of living. I'm 30 right now, and to be honest, I prefer to spend my free weekends going out and dancing salsa, instead of changing shitty diapers. I guess that's gonna change in the future, but right now that's the way it is.

- And last, but not least, nowadays there are just very few quality women left. Let's say I'm ready to settle and get married right now. How often do you meet a girl who is:

1) Good looking (let's say, 7/10) and takes care of her body;
2) Raised in a traditional family and well-mannered;
3) Mentally sane.
4) *Wants* a quality man and a family with kids in her life.

You can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit.
