RIP, the new show was really good, a retake on Training Day. This came out of nowhere.

From twitter: the only actor to have been killed by a Terminator, a Predator, and an Alien.

He was 61. Sad. RIP.

That new show had bad ratings. It will probably just disappear quietly.

Too bad. He was in a lot of movies that never received the credit they deserved. He was excellent in the almost-Star-Wars "Slipstream" and rocked as the redneck scam artist in "Travelers".

RIP Bill Paxton.

Here are a few of my favorite films of his:

"Tombstone"
"Nightcrawler"
"Hatfields & McCoys"

...and who could forget his hilarious performance as the used car salesman who ran game on Jamie Lee Curtis in "True Lies"?!

Edit: Someone did a terrible edit on the above video, the scene as it appears in the actual movie is a lot better. If you haven't seen it, I recommend checking it out. Paxton's performance is definitely the best part of the movie.

I've always been fond of "A Simple Plan". Great film with Paxton in the leading role.

His new show sucked and it was very tacky, it would have been cancelled anyway.

That being said, too bad he died young. He had a few good movies.

RE: RIP Bill Paxton
These are two lesser known gems with Paxton in the lead role:

Trespass (1992) -- very pure early 90s action flick starring BP and Ice T (!), directed by the great Walter Hill.

Frailty (2001) -- Excellent horror/crime directed by BP and starring him as well. By the way, 2001 might have been the very last year in which a watchable horror film could have been made.

same old shit, sixes and sevens Shaft...
